Kunala would like to aim for the other ships mast with the grapple. Can he climb into our own rigging and throw from there then swing choosing a square? Or does he need to grapple then climb and then swing choosing a square? Or can he throw from the deck for the Mast and swings from the deck without choosing a square?
Not trying to make it complicated, just don't want to end up in the water ;)
Once we determine where he can throw from I will post a pre combat action, thanks!
If you don't climb first you might provoke AoO's depending on which square you want. So you have 8 checks to get 2 DC10 climb checks in a row. So that should be your preparing for combat post I think.
No. Can not grapple until the boats are alongside. Kunala will climb and get ready. Not sure why he hasn't posted already. Jord attacked so has no time left to climb first.
Everyone will be throwing grapples when I say the ship boarding begins.
sorry about the delay, between the ice storm that hit the east and getting ready for Christmas I have been a little delinquent. Ok, Kunala climbed, only fell on his head once, I really need MW armor and a few skill points in climb.
Ok, so since he's climbed into the rigging no -2 on the grapple throw for their rigging?
The only -2 for distance anyone will get is trying to throw high up into their rigging from your deck. Climbing to get the distance removes that -2.
The reason you want to climb is to land anywhere on their sterncastle you want(the back 2 sections of their ship where the black squares are on the map) which could divide their effort in repelling the boarders and flank them easier. I'm guessing this is part of your reason anyway, apart from looking cool.
I should inform you that I can't view roll 20 maps on my iPhone.
Also sorry for not posting. As we get closer to Christmas my posting is going to drop to almost zero. I'm not quitting or anything. But it'll be difficult for me to post what with work and the holiday cheer.
Since Jerieth can't see the maps on certain devices I will update the Imgur map with a new screenshot of the Roll20 map each time I do a new round update. So everyone will be able to see the same information. It just won't be as dynamic.
Both maps are updated now for the end of round 2 and I found a way to make your tokens a little nicer. If you guys have a better or closer picture of what your character looks like than the ones on this forum post the link here and I'll use that instead.
Updating again soon. GMing for Sejanus again. Wondering if he has disappeared for the holidays or something. Will message him. After a week I'll look for another player.
Just wanted to add guys. You can move through surrendered people's squares and end your movement in their squares. The same as if they were a dead body.
And the roll 20 players link is now permanently in the campaign tab.
Not sure what is up but I couldn't find my Roll 20 account supposedly my email account was never used before. I created a new account and Dr Genade is in the square I thought was free (from the Imgur map) so I am note sure whose action changes.
Jord is in a different place too. Sorry if I screwed up. Rereading the last post from Genade he is already in the square I was heading toward. Will the surrendered pirate 4 let me pass. If so I have enough movement to get behind pirate 6 and miss with my 1 attack.
I am running it as the order you got on board goes first and all enemies go last. You can also stand in the square the surrendered sailor is in as per my last post just above yours.
hey Diamondust, I don't even know if intimidating them to get them to surrender is even a thing, if not, can he use the chakram attack? clear as mud right?
Intimidate can convince people to surrender. Usually it's the Influence Attitude action which is supposed to take a minute of conversation or thereabouts. It isn't always guaranteed to make someone do what you want (just like charm person's limits).

Wasn't quite sure how you would let us attempt it, I thought it was worth asking.
I'm still here y'all. I'll have a post up tomorrow. Things are settling down now well they were but seems that we will get some snow this weekend but I'll post something tomorrow.
