Press-ganged to serve aboard the Wormwood, the crew with the outsider's touch must struggle to stay alive long enough to sate their desire for revenge...
I am back in KL now and returning to the typical home routine... though will be another 8-24 hours before I get the first post back up in thread. Thanks for your patience :)
Rather than DMPC I'm putting Fish on overwatch at the entrance - that way she can be useful (take care of the two seabird chasers) as well as rejoin as soon as she comes back.
DM is still here - just going through a small real life loss of creative focus. Issue will rectify soon I am sure and I shall return to form. Patience is appreciated and please enjoy a cookie while you wait.

Ah man, you forgot to tell us that the octogoblins had left a plate of warm welcoming cookies out front. That would have made the plotting and planning session so much more enjoyable.
Just a quick update - I'm getting my head back in the game and re-energized towards giving you guys better service then I have over the last few weeks. However the next three days I will be on a short roadtrip - getting put into a fake helicopter that they'll repeatedly drop into water upside down while I'm in it. As long as I get out without drowning I pass...
I'm hoping there will be interwebbage in the evenings... but I'm not certain.

I wish to apologize to everyone for disappearing. It was rude and unkind, however unintentional. You see, I simply forgot. There's a long story that involves family drama, a disputed inheritance, dying matriarchs, and a long drive across the Nevada desert accompanied by an 80S soundtrack, but really, the heart of the story is rather unoriginal.(I swear on my collection of holy books, everything it's all true.)
Just wanted to pop back in to apologize and give people some idea of what happened. Sorry, and thanks for letting me play with you. If the group is still interested, I'd really like to jump back in. Posting should be as regular as it was prior to disappearing.
P.S. I remembered when one of the guys from our RL group tracked me down and suggested doing a skype session during the summer holiday. That got me thinking Hmm, if Skype doesn't work, we could use the Paizo website to... Oh crap.
Spots still open for you Fish - so feel free to jump back in. Real Life happens sometimes and the long haul is always more reliable than the short.
Just give me a short spoilered IC post on how you'd propose you'd deal with the two grindylows when they return from chasing randy seabirds then I'll reintroduce you to the rest of the group once Deader decides on the quick or the slow.
Guys, I am going to be out of town for the next four days, give or take a day. I may actually be able to post this time around, but if I seem to be taking too long, please DMPC Joneth as needed so as not to bog down the game.
Paizo site has been like treacle for me tonight which has hampered the ease of posting. I'm out of the office for the full day tomorrow, so shall have next in game post tomorrow night (my time).
Between guests in town, babysitting both of our tots all day while my wife is at a conference and struggling with exercise induced leg pain I've not managed a post today... hopeful for tomorrow.
I also have a couple questions on how you want to work Necromancy in this game.
When an undead is killed, can it's corpse be raised again with another casting of Animate Dead? (does it revert back to a corpse unless disintegrated or something?)
A House Rule I'd like to Request:
The 25 GP per HD Onyx cost causes a huge problem for Necromancers.
It means that every necromancer needs to basically own an Onyx mine, or have access to Polymorph Any Object before they can really create their own undead. It becomes way more cost effective just to hunt down and Command undead rather than making your own. Based on the Gem Tables, there is no way (short of GM Caveat) for any necromancer to create an undead higher than about 5 HD, because Onyx of that value simply doesn't exist.
Deader's basically going to be trying to trade every copper he gets for Onyx, which I'm not a big fan of. If I can't figure out a way to change or reduce the cost, I'm going to have to burn a feat on False Focus just so I can have access to my character's schtick.
So, here are my requests-
Allow Deader to use Scrimshaw instead of Onyx. That way, when he had time to create undead more slowly and ritually, their strength will be directly related to the skill of his own artwork.
-And/Or-
Make the component into Onyx Dust so that smaller values of onyx can be combined together to fuel a more powerful casting.
I'd think that re-raising an undead would be a little harder. Maybe with a little time spent patching it back together afterwards? - a corpse would be pretty battered by the time it's been killed twice.
As to the onyx cost - I'd be happy for you to desecrate anything of similar value to suit. So scrimshaw, or pieces of gold sewn under the tongue, etc.
