I'll get to an in game post later this afternoon, a lot of moving parts for her next action and I'm on my phone. I just wanted to mention I'm recruiting for a second game and wanted to invite you fine folks to it. Link

Changed tactics which is a lot easier to resolve than what I was thinking before.

I originally wrote Mara's background for an Iron Gods game three years ago, and decided that her father was from Katheer (bint al-Katheeri means roughly "daughter of the guy from Katheer"). What a coincidence that Katheer appears in the plot of this AP!

Dervak wrote:

Status lets her know your square but she still lacks line of sight, so any ability that requires line of sight will still fail. If there is a touch effect she can still try to touch you with a 50% miss chance, but will automatically know which square to target. However I feel it's in keeping with the item to waive line of sight when she chooses to end the status effect. So ending the status effect to use healing hex as a swift action does not require her to see her target.

Could Theo spend a move action to touch Mara and eliminate her miss chance if she tries to use her Healing Hex on him?

Planescape Map Treasure SA: Table 1: Map Treasure SA: Table A: Map Treasure

I'll allow it. I was actually thinking along this lines already, but it slipped my mind as I was working through my last in game post.

Edit: I'd even go so far as say Mara can roll her miss chance to see if she hits him before Theo commits the move action.

As I am grateful, Mara, I believe that this is a TPK; unless we slow them down and lessen their numbers soon.

I think a lot of Mara's abilities rely on her being able to target things so blindness frelling hurts. The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is color spray, which is showing it's age at this point.

At least Dervak got a timely crit and stagger so Theo has a chance to be conscious next round.

Dervak is cutting loose in hopes of thinning their numbers. With Rage and Fortune he can do a lot of damage, but that hound seemed the most pressing foe due to its high damage output (and seeming ability to move out of the walls and get a full attack).

He will use his AOO on the first foe that comes within his impressive reach. Next round might use Barroom Brawler to pick up Combat Reflexes.

We also really need Rowan to land a Stunning Fist successfully.

I was floored too when the i found out that a hound of tindalos uses greater teleport and plane shift as a swift action.

Blur would have only helped if there was an attack roll involved.

Once again, will wait until Theo has posted before I post Mara's turn. If he leaves his square and cackles or does something else that makes some noise, she will 5 ft step into the square. She wants to move closer to the action to advance the range of her Fortune Hex, but she doesn't know which spaces are vacant.

Is the druid doing a lot in each round?
It is a standard action to call a bolt with Call Lightning.
And a standard to concentrate on Summon Swarm (though it lasts 2 rounds after concentration ends).
And a standard to cast Produce Flame or attack with it.

Planescape Map Treasure SA: Table 1: Map Treasure SA: Table A: Map Treasure

Oh jeez i read call lightning three times and missed that it was a standard action to call a bolt. So produce flame never happened. If you got hit by it you get those hps back, if you got those already healed you're over healed into temp hp. And swarm is not being concentrated on so that should go away right... now.

I think the comment about casting other spells while call lighting was going is what tripped me up there.

Sorry again a lot of moving parts in this final battle. Thanks for keeping me honest.

If you ever feel like I'm cheating you please mention and I'll let you know if its intentional or not.

Went back through, and if I counted right, he was damaged for 41 total points, and healed for 9, leaving with 8/40. Your healing hex is the only reason he is still up, so thank you!

Also, bramble armor is cool!

I am a bit torn at the moment...I feel like Ellery not only wouldn't trust the druid, but would also stab her after she surrendered. He has no reason to trust her, is paranoid, and she has already attacked the group. However I don't want to create problems with my fellow players. I can justify leaving the druid be, with Ellery assuming the rest of the party wants her alive/unharmed and because he trusts them he will abide by their choice. So I would appreciate some feedback from you all. I do realize players may have different opinions than their characters :D

Rowan does not trust the Druid, and she has not been truthful to him. He got hurt pretty bad in this fight, and he knows he won’t survive another flurry or call lightning.

He has no qualms about her dying today, but can’t do it.

Dervak trusts her to not turn on us. Actions speak louder than words and her fear of us seems genuine.
He does think that she is another crazy cultist, but if she wants to just leave he'll let her.
So I would prefer Ellery focus on Melisenn.
