Storyteller, it is exactly the type of rp I love doing. Defining my character inside and out within the world is why we come to this place. I have had to decide all sorts of things about Onfroi plunging the very depths of him and his motivations and use his nature and demeanor to guide me in this scene at every twist and turn. Sometimes when we act we find truths of the human condition and surprises about our own selves. What could be better then that for the actor?

Yay! I'm glad others are enjoying it. Ranerius and Onfroi might have some very different political and philosophical views, but Ranerius at least feels the Toreador owe Onfroi for his sacrifice and will try to be a friend.

You'll ending up get substantially les than the well established PCs but that is just due to story circumstance. I prefer in a long campaign to do things that way. For shorter campaigns (1 to 3 years) starting as a Vampire I think is fine.
FYI to , based on what has gone on before and what is yet to come I figure there is about another 3-5 years of real time RP with this set of characters. Thereafter, they will be "retired" and you will either:
1) Run their Childe OR
2) Have a chance to switch clans.
By way of example, Michele here on the boards once played his Grandsire Fatti/Fahdi (depending on how we spelt it at the time), and his current Sire Sadir, as a PC in table top. Assuming he stick with that same Bloodline, this will be the 4th member of that line that he will have roleplayed. So essentially he has been playing the same Bloodline since about 2006.
The next Chronicle will jump forward a century to the early 1400's. As I said. it'll be a few years but it was on my mind so I thought I'd share. ;-)

At this point I don't even think he would embrace a childe. Fortunately there's a lot of game before that's even an issue.
I'm torn as well. I know that when he gets permission, unless something happens to prevent it, Ranerius is very likely to embrace his wife. Now, if I recall, this breaks the blood bond so the marriage might not be so happy after all. Who knows? :)
A lot depends on how much humanity he loses before he can embrace her. I imagine he would use her more ruthlessly at Humanity five than he would at 7 for example.
Then again, so much can happen to ruin that plan.
And if anyone WANTS to play a Toreador, let me know. I will consider a clan swap, though I admit Ranerius has been more fun than I thought he would. I think as an elder in the future he might become the reluctant force, always complaining about how he just wants his place and his music....

I honestly would not be surprised if he gets put in his place. But given how they responded the first time, he certainly would yell a second time. He's almost livid enough to brandish his scalpel he's got up his sleeve for if drunks get hands with him or someone won't pay.
I can't find what the instruments were made of back in the day...but given his occult knowledge would it be safe enough to say silver?
