Ry will transmit the information regarding the Jackal Heads - Anumus - being created by the Anumi Fruit to the rest of her party through their telepathic link via Mister.
Dain GM
What is between the more martial characters and the skiff? I'd like to do something to clear a path.
After Kae and Clari you have nothing between you and the skiff except the stone pier and the water itself lapping around the skiff.
It should be noted that Anuk-su is tied in the bottom of the boat, and 4 are around her - 3 jackal heads and the pink guy. They are all in the same skiff - even as two other jackal guys are sparing with Kae and Clari.
So to Clarify: Down the bottom of the stairs is Isani - beyond them, with their backs to you all, is Kae and Clari - who are fighting 2 jackal headed guys - beyond those 2 villains the others have hopped in the skiff and are making a run for it. If you could hit the two that are with Kae and Clari - it would allow your friends to make a dash for it - though it may injure your friends. If you hit the folks beyond your friends - the ones in the boat - it may sink the boat, and injure Anuk-su, if not outright kill her.

WHen my turn rolls around I'll attack one of the ones that Kae and Clari are attacking. Whichever one looks the most injured.
Scorching ray touch attack 1d20+5-4;4d6 (the -4 is for firing into Melee)
Good times! Though for now I think Kae and Clari are going after the same target - however - when it is your turn, whoever looks the most hurt - you go it...
which reminds me - what is your range on that?

40 feet at this level. I'll probably have to move then fire.

Indeed sir. You are the top of a 50 foot staircase which stretches down a 45 degree angle for 50 feet - granting a total of roughly 70 feet. Then you need to get it to travel roughly 40 feet forward - for a rough net of 110 feet to the nearest guy.
You are hard pressed to do it - but you should be able to get down the majority of the stairs and put yourself into range.

Well….
As the party continues to do what they’re doing – the following shall occur –
1. Brett takes aim – ignoring the Jackal Creatures – instead, he fires at the pink guy.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
IF he hits –
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
2. Meanwhile – Anaitis shall stab at the enemy by Arasmes, who is even now bleeding out –
1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 2 + 2 = 23
IF she hits
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
The Pink guy falls down into the skiff - and the devil lets out a fierce growl...
Clari Miali'ahel
How far out is the skiff, and where are the guys standing on the skiff?
The guy attacking kae rolled a nat 1, so fumble, right? You'll have to go to the previous page to see it, but it there.
Clari takes a 5' step up and full-attacks with spell-combat
Concentration check to cast brand defensively DC 15
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
1d20 + 9 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 9 - 2 + 1 = 27
For 1d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 1 = 9
Iterative
1d20 + 9 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 9 - 2 + 1 = 17
For 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Haste
1d20 + 9 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 9 - 2 + 1 = 28
For 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Clari Miali'ahel
So if the first attack doesn't confirm, and they have dr 10, at least the one point of damage from the spell brand goes through.
Confirmation
1d20 + 9 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 9 - 2 + 1 = 12
For 1d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 1 = 11
Sesond confirmation
1d20 + 9 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 9 - 2 + 1 = 22
For 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Hmm....
Well - let's see:
1. The skiff is now roughly 20 feet from the dock - but two guys are currently on the beach.
2. You negated your set of touch attack spells, and now only have Brand on.
3. I have no clue what "Iterative" is supposed to be in this case - I tried to look it up - and I couldn't find it - and got a headache while looking. Maybe it's recovering from the concussion - maybe it's a latent frustratation from being on pain killers - or maybe it's my general annoyance that when I see people do things that aren't on their sheet and pull answers to questions I don't asked from erratta, I don't know - only I do know that I don't like it. Also - as I don't know that ability is - it's pretty much not going to happen.
By the way - to get to these Jackals - you need to move up through their 10 foot reach weapon - which you are free to do - but they have an AoO against you as you charge up for your damage - as Clari does not have Reach - so, I guess I'll toss that up now.
AoO against Clari -
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
IF he hits -
1d10 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
I should add that though the guy made a fumble - he will now be bare-handed against you and Kae... It may give you an edge... then again; it may not... Time will tell.
Clari Miali'ahel
she can take a 5' step and not provoke an AoO. if they attacked from 10 ft away, she stepped up to attack and got to full attack, so no AoO.
"Iterative" is the normal attack set. when you get to make an attack at +7/+2 once they get bab +7, those are referred to as iterative attacks. I labled it, cause i didn't want to confuse you since i did my spell-combat extra attack first.
With Spell-combat, she gets to take an extra attack to deliver her touch attack. She also gets an extra attack because of haste on a full attack.
She has no set of touch attack spells active right now. If you mean that you want to negate Browgasher, then whatever, its not like any of the jackals should survive 5 turns anyways, so sure, it's gone...

Again - I'm confused. Your BAB is 3.
With Haste you get a second attack.
With your Dex Modifier you have bonuses to your BAB - but you don't get a second attack on TOP of your Haste attack for 3 attacks.
Spell Combat allows you the chance to cast a spell with your off hand - like Two-Weapon Fighting does, and apply that spell to your on hand - the one that holds the sword - and you suffer the appropriate penalties because of it.
In any case - the enemies can attack you with their reach weapons - which they did.
For you to reach them, you need to be close to them.
To get close to them, you need to step up.
To step up, you put yourself into the AoO; they can attack you with a 10 foot reach, but you can't get past their 10 foot reach with a 5 foot step.
Though to be fair - only one of them has a weapon in hand.

I may be misreading the rules - but I am clear on one thing - if you are telling me that a level 4 Magus has so many attacks and damage on level 4 - well, no worries - if that's how they're played, that's how they're played, then.
No worries. Like I said, the concussion and headache are not making this easy for me, sorry for any problems that may be causing.

Clari was attacked from 10' away. she takes a 5'step toward her attacker. this does not provoke an AoO. she is 5' away from her target and she can attack.
if she used a move action to leave the threatened square she would provoke, but she took a 5' step. this is a specific kind of action that does not provoke an AoO.
it's not that it's a huge deal, and the AoO rules are apparently confusing.
Moving out of a threatened square provokes. Taking a 5' step through a threatened square does not provoke.
this means that approaching a creature with reach provokes an AoO because you are moving toward them. If you take a 5' step forward, you don't provoke.

If the pink guy / evil cleric isn't dead yet ...
Round 3
Ariarh will concentrate on the spell and will call down a second lightning bolt (standard action) and direct it at the fallen? pink guy (careful not to hit Anuk-su in its path line). (After this, she has 4 bolts remaining.)
Electricity damage: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4) = 9
Saving throw: Reflex for Half Damage (DC19)
If the Pink Guy is already dead I will retcon this action in my morning.
Using Mister's mind link she sends a message to her griffon Dior (which of course can be "heard" by the others of the party), ::Brett has a bronze knife that can useful with the Jackals if they stay aggressive. If he drops it, fly back, pick it up and drop it by Kae or Clari, whoever you can reach first.::
Dior takes to the air and is flying, ready in case Brett drops the Sai.
Isani Isu
Round 3
Isani who held action earlier, decides to act and runs a little forward and when Clari and General Ka'etil are within 30 feet of her, she takes hold of her ankh (Can she do this with one hand and still be able to hold her scimitar in the other hand?) and begins saying the words and releases a wave of bright, healing energy toward them (this channel will heal Kae, Clari and Isani),
Channel Energy #8 (and with the aid/"boost" of Ry's dragon amulet): 4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 6) = 16
Kae, Clari and Isani each get 16 HP returned to them. Isani is back up to full HP 31/31.
(Isani now has two Channel Energy bursts remaining, 3 Rebuke Death and a CLW spell (level 1 Oracle spell). Her remaining cleric spells are Consecrate (level 2) and Summon Monster I, plus her orisons.)

Okay - so what - you are now close enough to hit them? I have no idea how you moved up past their reach weapons with a 5 foot step - and were able to hit him them.
Also - when did you get Haste cast on you? I honestly don't remember at this time - but it would have had to been recently, because it has been nearly 8 minutes since you guys defeated the boss at the lava.

To be honest - you don't know on either account.
You BELIEVE the pink guy is dead - as for the Devil? You know enough about those creatures to know that they have Greater Teleport and Invisibiilty at will... He may have teleported, or left to his home plane... you don't know at this time.

Sigh. I thought that might be the case with water and lightning but wasn't sure as sometimes things work differently in game than fiction/imagination. Clarifying question: There's only two jackal-heads left on the beach: the two by the dock right? The rest are in the skiff with the fallen? pink guy?

(Since Shae is standing right beside Ras and Ry's player remembers Shae mentioning something about buying potions off Selendria and Patty before they left Saravale? Ry does not know this but she is hoping someone else in her party is carrying some healing potions.)
She then starts moving down the stairs, 30 ft.
Dior has collected the Sai and next round will try to fly it down to Clari/Kae.
Dain GM
Okay, as it seems that Ras is out - Ry has moved down the stairs, Clari made her attacks, Ry has made her move - and Isani has made her move - and the others are upstairs trying to deal with Ras -
Then it looks like the bad guys -
Jackal 1 and 2 will move to flank Clari and attack -
1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 2 + 1 = 23
IF he hits
1d10 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Jackal 2 makes his move
1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 2 + 1 = 26
IF he hits
1d10 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Brett Rowan
Brett shall also attempt a Knowledge: Nature check to aid Ariarh -
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
IF he succeeds - Brett Ariarh may gain a +2 to Knowledge Nature Check -
Brett would have had to get a Natural 25 on his own - not bloody likely!
As it is - since no one in the party was able to "aid" Ariarh with her Knowledge Nature check via the creatures - he attempted to.
Brett would have to roll pretty high to even help her, though... we'll see how he did!
Well - what a strange surprise - the following details will be shared with Brett and Ariarh -
To save time and expedite things - this was done via Skype.
Isani Isu
Isani had been pondering the various bits of information they had discovered since entering the cave/tunnel and encountering Anaitis and learning she understood Osirion, her Master's tongue. If their leaders were Osirion, then it made logical sense that all the creatures created by them would know the Master's language. It was a theory she could put to the test with the Anumus -- Jackal Heads.
Using Ghost Sound to elevate her voice so to be heard by the Jackals, she begins in Osiriani,
"Asalaam alaikum! I ask for Peace as enough bloodshed has been perpetrated this day. We come only to retrieve that which was taken from us -- namely the young Princess -- wrapped and chained, possibly injured, in the water vessel there. She had a silver-skinned guard with her also. My name is Isani Isu and I am Osirion. Can we stop and discuss this in a logical fashion, without weapons and brute force? I seek calm and peaceful discussion." And with that she bows before them all, scimitar loosely by her side to demonstrate the sincerity of her words.
Diplomacy with Jackal Heads/Anumus: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Ariarh Kane
Ariarh scanning the scene before her and hearing Isani speak in her native tongue, wonders at the Priestess' plan. Yet it seems reasonable to explore speaking to the Anumus in Osiriani since Amun haled from Osirion. If we get back to Saravale alive, I will ask Isani to teach me her language, she thinks.
Remembering something, she looks up at the sky and makes her own quiet plea upon the air, "Qwykee, where are you? Are you near? Arasmes is unconscious and we need more aid! Help us!"
Qwykee
"Oh - Help me, Qwykee-wan-Kenobi, you're our only hope!", yeah, yeah - been there, done that... Still - if you chowder-heads had given me a call sooner, rather then later - this all may have been neatly averted! Oh, did I forget to say - bamf!"
Suddenly you see a familiar figure pop up on Ras's fallen shoulder. She is chewing something gummy and pink, and twirling a long black braid with disinterest. Seeing your predicament- she lets out an aggravated sigh, and suddenly teleports onto Kae's shoulder.
"How's trick, tall, broad and raging?" she asks, casting "Mage Hand" to swat Kae's buttocks soundly as she sits on his shoulder. She tosses a sour glance at Clari -
"Huh! Looks like you must'a got all the good looks in this family, eh gorgeous? Oh well - never mind - anywho - time to put my talented tongue to work, right?" she says with a grin and a leer at Kae.
Looking over at the roaring Jackal Headed creature, she stands up on Kae's shoulder and roars back - then begins a "quick" speech in the words of the Osriani folk. In short order - she rolls her "diplomacy" check (not seeking to aid anyone, she decides to do this roll on her own) -
1d20 + 25 ⇒ (11) + 25 = 36 - Hey - not bad for starters, eh? Too bad I don't have "ranks" in that skill - for now, it's going completely off of my wittle-bitty Charisma modifier - pretty darn good, am I right?
The creatures seem very shocked by her words, and her speech, and they lower their weapons a bit - looking confused. She repeats the words - and continues to speak again, gesturing between her, and the party a few times, making explosive gestures, and wild dancing motions on Kae's shoulders.
After a few minutes the creatures look at each other - throw down their weapons, kneel in the dirt, and fold their hands over their breasts.
In the distance you see the skiff returning - and the creatures on board it are eagerly wading to shore, they also are kneeling.
"Whew! That was quick - well - at least, quick for me! Meantime - they'll listen to you - so long as you don't have them do something stupid, like threaten their life... But they only speak the desert lingo - so you need folk who can talk that language - but, as for me - I need to head home now - I guess... But don't worry hot-stuff - I'll be thinking of you all night long... Oh - wait - would that be evil, or good - nuts! It probably would be very evil - considering what I was thinking... on the other hand - since I was only thinking it - and not letting myself do it - even though I could do it - it would be like sort of self-torture - and that would be very painful, which would be like self-denial from a pleasure - which is generally a good act... I think... so; yeah - I guess by not doing it, and thinking about it - that is even more good - which is great - because I got a lot of thinking to do, eh big boy?" she adds with a wink, then a hop off Kae's shoulder - and - like that bamf - she was gone...
The only evidence you have of her appearance is the remaining Jackal Headed warriors kneeling in the dirt; the skiff which has been dragged up onto the beach - and the lingering smell of sulfur in the air...
Ariarh Kane
Ariarh is amused and surprised at the sudden turn of events -- not having expected Qwykee to have done what she did and succeed so swiftly! "Thank you, Qwykee", she whispers on the wind after the "good" demon girl disappears back to her home plane.
She turns on the stairs and looks back at Brett, Shaezon, Anaitis and the ape men, instructing them loudly, "Please bring Arasmes down. He requires healing."
Looking up she watches her griffon, Dior, descend toward her.
Isani Isu
In Osiriani, Isani turns to the Amunus in the skiff and directs them, "Carefully remove the wrapped/chained Princess from the boat and bring her to us." She is hopeful that the Amunus will comply now the strange girl Qwykee had spoken to them. Unusual but useful creature, she muses privately. Hurrying over to Clari and Kae, who look as perplexed at the turn of events as she, she entreats in the Common tongue, "I need to examine Anuk-su and determine the extent of her injury. Once the other companions bring Arasmes down from the mouth of the cave, I would ask all of you to congregate around me and I shall undertake another channeling. Clari, your injuries look serious -- you need my help. Perhaps Anaitis nes-Ma'at can speak with the Anumus in Osiriani to discover where the silver kobold guard are being held."
Then speaking to the half-elf councilman directly, "General Kae'til, the enemy leader who fell in the boat, we need to check to ensure he is indeed dead or whether we have a problem that requires immediate attention. I cannot draw too close to him for he seems to have a particular hatred of good, faithful people like myself. The ape men or Councilman Rowan may be able to assist you. It would not be wise to undertake it alone in the event the enemy leader is not dead."

Dior has collected the Sai and next round will try to fly it down to Clari/Kae.
"Unfortunately, I don't." Shae says mid action
I remembered to buy other potions, but in my stupidity I forgot the cure potions.

Shaezon does as directed and attemepts to get the others, including ape-men to help.

It takes a moment for Ka'etil to move, after Qwykee's spanking. Standing stock-still he looks out of the corner of his eye at his shoulder, simultaneously trying to turn his head away from the Demon-girl, grimacing. Shaking his head, he moves toward the boat in a slight daze, shaking his head.
"Right, I shall check on the foe in the boat," he says drawing his Greatsword. Kae will examine the condition of the pink guys to see if they are still threats, ready to attack if either is alive and takes any action other than to surrender.

Clari is aghast at the summoning of this tiny Succubus!
She stares at the party members trying to determine who summoned it. As the Jackals seem to stand down, Clari watches with wide-eyed horror at the dancing creature on Malas'rae's shoulder. She backs away from the scene, silent and quivering.
She winces visibly once the creatures Kneel down as Keravel begins to rant, rave, and rage at her tolerating all of these fiendish creatures! Ka'etil transformed into a Demon, Arasmes is a Tiefling, this tiny Deus Ex Succubus shows up and everyone's alright with it! WHat the hell is wrong with this party, etc. etc. etc.
One thing I like about the Bladebound magus is that the blade does have a mind of its own. As such it is noted that the GM may play the weapon as it may come into conflict with the player, such as in this situation. That said, I'll play Keravel's fiend-hating aspect and hopefully you will find it in character enough to fit the purpose of the blade.
As they are in conflict, in that Keravel kinda wants to make with the violence, Clari gets a will-save DC = Keravel's ego, which is 5
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
With a pass, she gets to keep control of herself, and unless she rolls a 1, she'll be fine.
Clari manages to sheath the blade and massages her temples as though she suddenly got a headache.
Looking down at her rather grievous wounds, she does approach Isani in order to benefit from healing, but clearly wants to stay as far away from all of the rest of these people as elvenly possible.
"I appreciate the offer of healing, wit-... Priestess" she says with nod to Isani, recalling that the changeling did not appreciate Khromm calling her a witch.

Clari –
Excellent! I am well pleased – I shall play the blade much like I do Galen – or possibly Anuk-su – giving it the personality I need to have for purposes of driving the story in a particular direction. If you discover the personality is overshadowing how you would play it normally – roll with it – but let me know via private message, and we can go from there, and – if necessary – I’ll tone it down a bit.

Very good…
The body of the “pink guy” is still in the boat – it is scarred heavily – and smoking with the burns from the lightening bolt, as well as multiple slashes on its flesh. Clearly – it has the same physiology as the girl Anaitis – mostly human, but not quite – with some clear presence of reptilian nature; most especially in the eyes, and a close examination of the flesh reveals that instead of fine hair, present on a mammal – it has a more reptilian scales – even as the creature has hair on its head, and eye-lashes; despite the reptilian eyes.
This is no mutation – nor is it an anomaly – what you are looking at is a being of a race of creatures, however – it is dead. The only one that you have observed alive to talk to is the girl Anaitis herself – and she said very little to anyone, except Brett and recently Isani and Ariarh – and only after they questioned her directly.
Currently she is standing near Brett, somewhat behind and a little apart – for all intents and purposes – you think she looks a lot like a bodyguard – almost as if she is following him around like he is her master – you recall vaguely that when party was getting stuff done by the volcano – Brett alone moved to heal her from her wounds and cover her nakedness – it is possible she feels she “owes” him something – though Brett seems a bit uncomfortable at being followed around by her.
The boat is now on the beach – the water is still choppy from where the waves are being kicked up by the rain outside – and Anuk-su is laying in dragon form unconscious (but still alive) on the bottom of the boat, wrapped in thick chains. The “Jackal Headed” warriors are still kneeling in the dirt with their arms folded over their breasts; but they say nothing at this time.
You can all see that the Ape Men have a strong tension and nervousness around the choppy water – and are currently avoiding the beach, staying further back – if they can…
Knowledge: Nature for anyone who is curious as to why that is – or you could just like – ask them…
Anaitis is saying nothing at this time – currently scanning the water intently – watching it with unease – but in a different way then the apes do – as if she is searching it for something. The apes themselves just seem edgy – and would prefer to “get back” away from the water.
The “pink guy” is clearly dead – the Jackal Men are awaiting orders – Brett is chewing some tobacco – his eyes flicking from Anaitis – who watches the water intently – and the apes – and you can tell he is eager to do something – rather then simply waiting…
Games to you – gentlemen – I took off my tutoring job today – bad weather and painful neck muscles make turning your head to see/driving tricky and dangerous. I am home now – and will be posting frequently – this is your chance for some social RP – and unless you do something… unexpected… you are not likely to get into another combat any time soon – and can probably wrap this up with good social RP – which, inevitably – means we’ll be in combat at any time ;)

Ka'etil gently lifts Anuk-Su out of the boat and brings her to Isani, face hard and dark, saying "Someone that can speak the language, ask these Jackal-headed creatures where the Kobold that came are being held, so that we may retrieve them post-haste."
"Priestess, have you much healing power left?" Making ample use of Rebuke Death on Ras and Anuk su to get them closer to 0 hp before the Channeling could be a good use or resources, but i don't know how much of that you have left.
"Brett, can you help me with these chains?" Kae implores.

As the General and Councilman Rowan work at removing the chains that have the drgaon girl tightly bound, she moves to the Foreign Ambassador's side. He is unconscious but is breathing and his bleeding had been stemmed by the Lady Druid's spell. She lays her hands carefully upon Arasmes' chest and speaks the words to her spell Rebuke Death, hoping to revive her friend, so at least he is able to stand until more healing can be administered to the entire party.
Rebuke Death on Arasmes: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
This brings Arasmes' HP to 1 HP.
Turning her face to the Lady Druid, "Lady Ariarh, may I have one of the healing potions you carry? I will be undertaking a more comprehensive healing as soon as we know more on Princess Anuk-su's condition."
Upon receiving the potion from Ariarh, she helps Arasmes drink the CLW potion.
CLW potion on Arasmes: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Arasmes' HP now is 5.
Isani now has 2 channel energy remaining, 2 rebuke deaths and a CLW spell.
Ariarh Kane
Looking back and forth between the Priestess and Kae, "Once we can remove Anuk-su from her chains and wrappings, I will examine her to determine the extent of her injuries and then we can attempt to heal her and the others of the party who require it."
"Clari, I can give you a healing potion until Priestess Isani can undertake her channeling. This should help until we can examine Anuk-su and gain information about her kobold guard."
CLW potion on Clari: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Clari has 9 HP returned to her.
Ry now has 3 CLW potions remaining, after administering one each to Arasmes and Clari.
