Playing in 20+ games and running 26 (soon to be 27) is time consuming. Outside of the boards I have a fairly busy work schedule and of course a life!
Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another.
To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to my status. So if I am missing for a time, just go ahead and click on the link in my Avatar and you will be able to ascertain my board status.
My sincerest apologies if this is a bit of an inconvenience where you are waiting on me for an action but posting "I will be away for the next 3 days" 47 times (or more) is just not working for me any longer. Thank you for your understanding!
Yeah, sorry about that. I've been trying to give people a chance to post to respond, but it seems that it won't be sustainible. Hopefully I can get to a faster rate of posting soon. Unlike with most of my games, I have to be at my computer to ensure everything goes properly.
Not really, but you will find some supplies (including a barrel of water) if you look in Roldare's room.
Also, you have a caster (Athromar) with Create Water on-hand. That might help some.

I forget the rule but with rest we only get 1 point of ability damage back per day correct?
Strength is not the worst thing for our particular PCs to lose as we are a ranged attack/spellcasting group anyhow BUT, if we lose muhc more strength we'll be shadows too!

Here is the excerpt from PRD:
Healing Ability Damage: Temporary ability damage returns at the rate of 1 point per night of rest (8 hours) for each affected ability score. Complete bed rest restores 2 points per day (24 hours) for each affected ability score.
I think we can wait the 8 hours and then take it from there, but will defer if someone else has a strong opinion. We may be swimming later (a STR-based skill).
Blacklock was a wacky attempt at a strength rogue knowing high levels wouldn't be reached, so it hurts as far as character mechanics goes.
But its alright, character mechanics isn't everything. It's silly to wait around until the ability damage is restored fully. Low levels are more about the d20 roll anyways. Let's just move on after rest.

Just an aside, and I know this is just part of the module, but those guys having Nirmathan coin shouldn't really be mysterious/surprising since like...we are in Nirmathas. Right? Wouldn't be more surprising if it came from some other territory or am I missing something...
I think the point of the coins is to show that these aren't random countryside explorers- they came from a big city, with newly-minted coins. It also serves to show the two bodies are connected. Or that's my understanding, at least.
Hehe, that must be it. Just saying if I find a corpse in America with American dollars I'm not going to raise any eyebrows (other than being shocked by the body, ofc). I suppose if I found 2 corpses, and each had a stack of nice crisp bills there could be a connection, sure.
Sorry, I forgot to mention it: Phineas, while looking for magic in the room, you spotted two magical auras on your companions- with further investigation, you discover that it is the dagger from the Shadow's room and the ring you just found.

Phineas adds a level in Ranger, which increases BAB to +2. He chooses Archery combat style, which grants the precise shot feat and then takes Two-Weapon Fighting feat for Ranger level - which allows him to make double attacks with quarterstaff without severe penalties.
I did add a rank in Spellcraft so will take some stabs at identifying the magic items now as well. Profile and headline updated for new stats etc.

Hmm, glancing through our spells/inventories I'm not seeing a path forward here. We might need to retreat and get some splash weapons and torches etc, maybe Rold has some. Or maybe just scare them out with fire, could light some barrels/wood.
Yeah, sorry for the delay. Life happened. I'll get a post out soon enough, but I do have a way for you to deal with the swarm. Because they are diminutive, weapons can't harm them.

Phineas will pray for some different spells for this day. He will add Protection from Evil as his domain spell, and replace Detect Evil with Shield of Faith. His other first level slot will still hold Bless.

I am traveling for work tomorrow and Wednesday, so run me if I am holding things up. Typically channel vs skeletons, quarterstaff if they close in, since bow is likely ineffective against skels.
