Here is the character with a short simple background and appearance will work more on his personality as he develops.
Background: Mikal was born in Zobeck to a Kariv woman who had been assaulted by a drunken Noble who mistook her for a lady of the Evening, the noble did not live to see the Dawn. Mikal was left in Zobeck when his mother and her caravan departed for he was not wholly of their blood.
He was left on a doorstep as the caravan was leaving Zobeck, the owner of the doorstep was Stigandr Varjo, an elf-marked noble who was not the most honorable of men. But he took this opportunity to well raise someone to work with. With Stigandr Mikal learned how to defend himself and how to survive on the street sometime leaving him out in the ghettos to find his way home. When Mikal was of age Stigandr taught him the way of the Shadowsworn. With this he learn of the true darkside of Zobeck.

Duration Instantaneous
Saving Throw Fortitude negates; Spell Resistance Yes
You create a momentary needle of cold, sharp pain in a target creature. This causes no damage, but it may break a spellcaster’s concentration (DC 13). The target uses its next move action to stand up or fall prone (whichever the DM deems most appropriate). There is a 50% chance the subject will drop a held item.

You channel darkness and shadows into your surroundings. The spell’s
area becomes gloomier, murkier, and more difficult to see in without
actually becoming dark enough to impede movement or combat. Lowlight
vision or darkvision is required to see normally. All Perception
checks within the area suffer a -2 penalty for the duration of the spell.
Silent Sound

You fire a ray of sonic energy too shrill to hear from your fingertips.
Make a ranged touch attack. A hit inflicts 1d6 sonic damage per level
(5d6 maximum).

I was kind of holding off on the backstory for my character till it was determined if she was part of the group. I have the standard orphaned girl living on the fringes with a band of forest bandits in the back pocket, but if the background could be tied to the other PC's that would make it more alive.
Good luck to all....

<Drumroll>
Alrighty...after much contemplation and more than enough agonizing back-and-forth in my already overtaxed mind, I have settled on the final choices.
I will reiterate - this was by no means an easy choosing, and all of the submissions had real potential (at least I think so).
So, without further ado, here are the five characters that will go forward (in no particular order):
Mikal Varjo, Male Human Shadowsworn 1
Iliya Gromovnik, CG Male Human Barbarian 1
Sir Oscar of Khorsburg, Male Human Paladin of Khors 1
Ludicrous Stills, CG Male Human Savant 1
Gierdré, NG Female Human Sorcerer 1
I'd like to ask that all who made it to please post in the OOC thread here, with an up-to-date charaacter profile and the avatar image you want to use for the battlemaps.
For those who didn't get chosen, please accept my thanks for the efforts put forward, and wish you all the best. Having said that, if someone chosen drops out or doesn't show for an extended period, I may PM one of you all to ask to replace a PC.
Thanks again, and I look forward to creating an enjoyable experience for all of us!

I appreciate what you had put together. Only time will tell if I made the right call...
Thanks for the honesty. I'm a fan of the summoner class, and have wanted to try out the drake tamer alternate class for some time. I'll be around should a spot open up.

Hi there DM, I've just noticed this campaign, and I'd be very interested at applying if and when you need another player.
I've had a little bit to do with Midgard canon, and I'm pretty well-versed in the setting, but I've never had a chance to run or play a Midgard game.
I'll keep an eye out for if you ever put out the call, but if I seem to miss the memo, please feel free to message me about it.
Cheers!

We are currently looking for some replacements for the group.
If you look in the Gameplay thread http://paizo.com/campaigns/DMTorillansTalesOfMidgard/gameplay&page=last you can see we aren't too far along.
So, we currently have a Paladin of Khors, a sorceress, and a Shadowsworn. We are looking for a front-liner, and a healer-type if possible. A druid could work (the group is in the Margreve forest currently. If you applied earlier, I'll give priority.
The first post in this thread still stands, except you will start at 2nd level.
Thank you for checking it out
| Narkus Vistar |
Here is Narkus's background ready for review or change as you see fit.
Narkus grew up right next to the kobold ghetto in Zobeck. He lived very close to a family of kobolds and they were only to happy to have somebody who was willing to wake up at night and help them work. They did have some rough spots, but that was usually due to something moving, but they just wrote it off as somebody forgetting where they had put the darn thing. He learned much about kobolds while living there, though he never picked up their language, it was in the ghettos that he first found out about his power.
When one of Narkus's kobold neighbors began to get sick many people avoided the place, but Narkus thought only of helping out his kindly kobold neighbors. He went to their house everyday before finally they were miraculously cured. When word got around that a human was able to heal with just a touch many kobolds were happy about the healing, but others saw an opportunity to profit. One of the "kings" of the ghetto sent his men after Narkus to take his healing powers for himself. The men went out to Narkus's home, but he was at a temple asking about his powers. When he returned home only ash and fire greeted him. Both of his parents had been killed in the fire, and Narkus knew that he had to leave. Asking only for a little help from the temple Narkus gathered up his things and fled north. Knowing that many people feared the Old Margrave Forest he went into it as soon as possible. Of course he didn't know how to navigate around in a dark wood and soon became lost. He is currently looking for a way out, but unknown to him he is about to encounter some people who are going to change his life forever.

Wandrel is done except for Items. I assuming the spending money is 1000 per Character Creation.
