You are passengers on a cargo ship called the Jenivere, headed south to Sargava. The voyage promises not only to bring you and your fellow passengers together as you face adversity, but also to set you on a path into the very heart of one of Golarion’s most feared regions in search of wealth, fame, and ancient secrets.

Someone in the group has Survival, right? We could lash together a pole and tie the lizards to it, and have me and Dereje carry the pole on our shoulders. Easy to drop if we run into something on the way back, makes the burden manageable.

"Ah, thank you," Dereje says to Adara gratefully once his grievous wound has closed up. He rolls his shoulder around, feeling only a twinge of discomfort from the motion.

"Anything that we don't take might very likely be eaten by other wild beasts. It will be a bit of work, but I don't think we should have any trouble dragging them back to camp."

Mizu dutifully cuts down some branches and tries to lash them together to help carry the dimorphodons, but she doesn't seem to have the right set of skills. She settles for simply gathering their wings up and hauling a pair of them over her shoulder. She grunts slightly at the weight but otherwise makes no complaints.

The party makes slow progress as they drag the dimorphodon carcasses back to the camp, arriving just as the sun sets. Seeing the spoils of the party's excursion into the Shiv's interior, Sasha's eyes widen. "Dimorphodons! There are dimorphodons on this island!"

Sidling up next Lawdrak she purrs, "I know that you are good with these saurian types...I would be very appreciative if you could bring me a young one, should you run across one."

Much more pragmatic than the red-haired woman, Ishirou begins off loading the carcasses. "Anyone have any idea of how to butcher and preserve this? If not, we should eat what we can and get the rest of it far away. We don't want to draw preditors."

As you look around the "finished" campsite, you see that the canvas material recovered from the shipwreck has been fashioned into a series of crude tents, not overly stylish but the tents should be sufficient to keep you out of the worst of the weather and perhaps curtail a bit of the insect activity that has picked up significantly as the sun has begun to set.

Please see the Campsite Rules at the bottom of the campaign tab and tell me what roles you would like to try to establish. Jask is already more than willing to be a medic.

"I see you, Sasha. How are you." Adara's voice does not inflect in the way these words typically are said. She shakes her head. "I know we have not been as...drawn to social niceties while we sailed as perhaps others. But I recognize the need for a partnership among all of us who have survived. The rest of us have determined ways to make this possible, and I... Adara takes a breath and corrects herself, "We hope you will be willing to provide skills to assist in the larger effort."

Adara seems to frown slightly as if expecting resistance from the woman. She may not even be conscious of her slightly disapproving expression.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

"I understand you to be interested in young dimorphodons. As you can see by the carcasses, we encountered several adults who may have been protecting their nests. Young Lawdrak indicated he heard their cries as we left the area to return. Perhaps in exchange for your help, we could see if what he heard is correct."

Adara raises her chin, her eyes challenging and ready to argue. Once again her expression and tone may not in fact be something of which she is aware.

"Well? What do you have to say?" Adara says authoritatively having barely given the woman a chance to speak.

A little bit of meta-game, I suppose. But I figure having spent some weeks on a ship together, this conversation may very well be an indicator of what kind of social interactions a former associate of the Red Mantis (an LE organization) would have with a NG woman who believes she has been divinely touched to destroy evil and lead society. ;-D

I'm uncertain if her past association would be common knowledge, so I tried to make Adara's behavior indicate uncertainty of Sasha. If that creates any negative modifiers to her Diplomacy roll, feel free to add those in to her total.

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

After splashing some water on her face the next morning, Mizu has a quiet bite to eat, then extracts her biwa from her waterproof pouch. Her lips tighten slightly as she tunes it, and she says, "I expect the salt water and humidity will have an unfortunate effect upon the body of my instrument." Then she takes the opportunity to play a short, haunting melody.

Perform (string instruments): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Once finished she carefully replaces the instrument in her waterproof bag and says, "We have survived a day... let us next turn that into a week. We've found food and staved off attacks. Given the opportunity we may well master this island and turn it into our own sanctuary."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Lawdrak wakes with a barely suppressed groan. Though he feels a bit stronger, his muscles still protest the damage done by the dimorphodons' venom.

After a brief morning tussle with Sharpmaw, the Kellid youth sits, cross-legged, listening to Mizu play. He nods his appreciation when she finishes.

"I thought we might follow the coast eastward again, expand our work there and work towards the goal on Ishirou's map." he proposes.[/b]

Mum joins the group after communing with her familiar, Kainey.
"Ooo the temperature is an early riser, is it not?"

With a wan smile, her mind drifts off as Mizu plays... "That was lovely, dear."

She nods in response to Lawdrak's proposal...
"Seems a fine suggestion to me. Any step forward is progress."

Dereje spends the morning offering his usual prayers to Abadar, in the hopes that with some hard work, they would soon be returned to civilization proper. He also prays that justice would be swift for the one responsible for their dilemma.

"I concur," he says in response to the Kellid's idea. "If there is indeed treasure here, perhaps we could make up for the loss of our cargo. We must think ahead, after all. We will not be on this island forever."

"While it would be delightful to receive one of the little darlings, I really don't see it as the price for my help. I believe we are all quite marooned on this rather unpleasant island and if we are to get off of this damned island, or at the very least survive, we all need to do our part." Sasha says with a pleasant smile.

"Hmmph, well yes...that's good to hear," Adara seems surprised by the lack of resistance. She tosses her hair and seems to fuss for a moment with her outfit. Then her eyes happen onto Sasha's missing finger and her features soften. "Thank you, Sasha. I will keep my eyes open for your dimorphodons nonetheless."

Sasha was one of the few NPCs that started off as indifferent as none of you were from Ilizmagorti. She is currently friendly and can serve as a Hunter or Guard.

Better to have everyone friendly though!

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Adara looks wearily at the others, but tries to put on a brave face. She shudders then looks at the young druid far from home.

"Lawdrak, do you think we could find our way back to the dimorphodon nest? I imagine any of their young will not live long without them. If we are to assist Sasha with her request, we will need to move quickly."

Edited in Fort save.

Grand Lodge

Are you heading back to the dimorphodon nest before heading east or are you heading out right away? If it helps, there are more dimorphodon nests on the island.
