DM RichD |
Klorak really doesn't like Neltji. Something about her reminds him of Malikanda and he feels she would be pleased at this one's death!
He can't see her due to Ndombe so he will try to eliminate him.

Tactical Map has been updated.
Neltji |
Neltji targets Klorak again with an evil compounding his issues. Not only can he not swing effectively but he can’t seem to get both his left feet and both his right feet from entangling himself. To make matters worse even when he does seem to pull through and focus on his multiple disfunctional limbs reality warps and he has to do immediately again.
Standard for evil eye ac. Cackle to extend evil eye (ac, to hit) and misfortune
She looks to the others as well. He is as debilitated as I can get him. Please subdue him for questioning.

Neltji |
I healed Ndombe for 9 hp this round but can go again.
Neltji continues the mental assault upon Klorak (cackle) seeing that the others are finally able to put some hurt on him. She then worries about her own health as she pulls on the healing wand to use next chance she gets.
Munkustrap |
As long as the chief is still up
Once again Munkustrp advances burnishing his knives. With at crisscross he tries to drop the chief.

Still wanting to get at Neltji, the chief continues to attack Ndombe!
Attack: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 - 2 = 8
Attack: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 6 - 2 = 17
Thanks to Neltji, he misses.
Munk stabs the Chief on one of his swings, but misses on the other.
Up Next: Everyone except Neltji and Munk
Nothus Adalis |
Nothus growls and swings his enhanced staff again.
Shillelagh: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 17 for 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 1) + 7 = 14
Neltji |
Seeing the group become more coordinated as they gang up on the leader Neltji prepares to stabilize him so they can interrogate their captive.
Use healing touch to stabilize and bring awake once he is disarmed and bound.
Nothus Adalis |
Nothus wouldn't attack him if he's down.
Neltji |
Thanks for the healing hex bot.
Neltji has no skill in interrogations but is willing to aid whomever wishes to try to get the information from the leader. We need answers as to why we were brought here! Tell us what you know and perhaps we can find a way off this island.
Aid another using guidance on whomever
Munkustrap |
Munkustrap, still brandishing hid dagger, walks up to the chieftain. He kneels in the dust and blood to look the man in the eye. "Odd that you would look at me in disgust, me who has never taste the flesh of men. You can thank my friend over there." he points to Neltji, For what is left of your life. Honestly, I am a bit tired and cranky. I have almost died more times today than I care to count, so let us make this easy, you devil worshiping cannibal.
"We want off this island - tell me how we can do that." he takes a breathe. "And we also want to know if anyone new has approached our camp in the last week or two. Talk fast." he drive his point home he begins to sharpen one of his knives.
Nothus Adalis |
Nothus shakes his head, "No idea. Sure as heck ain't Druidic."
DM RichD |
The chief blinks and looks inquiringly at everyone that spoke. He let's out a frustrated sigh and says,
The Chief giggles.
Neltji |
While they are trying to understand the leader Neltji taps the wand of cure mod on herself to heal the damage that he dealt her.
2d8 + 3 ⇒ (1, 8) + 3 = 12 back to full
If no one can understand him we should just put him out of his misery. Before that happens though she tries to speak to him in all of the languages she knows hoping he understands something.
Based on last update
Healing for Ndombe...2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1) + 3 = 8
Munk...2d8 + 3 ⇒ (1, 5) + 3 = 9
DM RichD |
The chief looks at Neltji with a bored expression and seeing that what we got here is a failure to communicate, the chief is put out of his misery.
Anyone want to RP this, feel free to do so...
Continuing up the stairs, you come to the unfinished light.
Neltji |
Seeing the mechanism of the lighthouse Neltji studies it for a bit. I have some rudimentary knowledge of construction so I can try to figure out how to reassemble the lighthouse. If I can get it working order it will be a beacon that will be seen for quite a distance at night. This would almost guarantee us off this island!!
Anyone else have it that I could aid?
Neltji |
Looks like just me going through character sheets.
Know engineering 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
After casting guidance upon herself and studying the construction of the lighthouse Neltji feels she has a decent grasp upon what is needed. I do think that if I spent all day on the lighthouse tomorrow I should be able to get hit up and running. If that is the case then we should have light tomorrow! Then we just need to be here when a ship arrives. This lighthouse will definitely draw someone here! I think we have a chance to get off the island!!!
Nothus Adalis |
Nothus pauses for a moment, "Do we think they deliberately broke it to get ships to crash here -- basically setting up a food source?"
He does his best to not get wrapped up in Nelthi's excitement, Let'sget ahead of ourselves.... Given our luck, no boat would come -- and if one did.. it'd probably be a boatload of pirates or killers or cannibals. However, he can't fully resist, and he asks, "Would a bit of magic help? Mending, for instance?"
Munkustrap |
Munkustrap sits cross-legged in the dark staring up at the lighthouse. The beacon shines blindingly into the darkness. A silent tear rolls down his face as looks across the rolling waves of the water.
Someone is coming for us. Someone to kill us. Someone to save us. Who will reach us first? he thinks as he scrapes a sharpening stone across his blade. Thumbing the razor sharp edge of the knife, it disappears up his sleeve in a flourish that would make any street entertainer in Absalom stare in wonderment. He takes another blade out and repeats the process.
Come quickly. I'm ready.
Neltji |
AS the group finishes up fixing the lighthouse Neltji stands back in wonder. They had accomplished the first part and second parts of this terrible ordeal. First they survived and thrived and now they had a real chance of being rescued. All that was left was to bring their base camp here and set up a rotation to guard the lighthouse and be on look out. Eventually someone would arrive. They could find nourishment from the fish of the ocean, tubers and roots on the island, meat from birds of the air, and water from springs inland. It was too much for her and she found herself sitting on the ground sobbing. She would have a chance to make it back home and see her family. She wanted to see the world and explore a bit but now she realized just how much she longed to see her parents again.
As she looked out through blurred eyes at the see she felt Anthony crawl on her leg and sit there. Her constant friend and companion his presence brought her some solace. Smiling at him she lost herself in their connection feeling it grow stronger and stronger. That feeling overwhelmed everything else till she stopped crying and felt peace within her. Placing him on her shoulder she went back to the huts to clean and organize the items of the deceased witch. She removed the body and threw it out to the ocean. Until they were rescued would would claim this as her home. The first thing she planned on doing though was adding more light and getting a window in here so it wasn't so dark, damp, and depressing.
Ready to be rescued
