Mariner, your Iterative attack also gets a second Luck roll. You probably hit with an 18, but you COULD crit with the second luck roll.
You will probably roll lower, but the luck lasts all round and gives you two saves- should you need them.


I would take it but I screwed up on the action anyway. The draw was part of move so no iterative. But he'll move 5' forward and swing two handed, if it hits, then he can greater cleave.

Staying just out of reach, Fearless evades the hedgeman again.

Cats swings his blade, but misses. The Mariner steps into the middle of the battle and brings his sword to bear in a sweeping slash that cleaves through flora and fauna, scattering leaves and spraying blood. @Mariner: not sure what you were rolling so I'm just going to roll the cleaves for you.

Fearless' breathing becomes labored. He hadn't run this long in a while. Looking back he sees the plant still bearing down on him. Crap, I am going to run outta breath before this thing does.

Rounding the corner he sees the group. "There's more coming in behind you!"

Or blame Fearless for this genius move of bringing enemies behind us.

Brother Butterfly is good at one thing.... asking Desna for help.
First off, he needs it a lot. Like ALOT with companions like Mariner. Companions that seem to just wake up, have their coffee, and run into stuff that gives them horrible, bleeding wounds. It's like he works in a hospital tent, but only for select patients. He's a Priest on Retainer. A Concierge Cleric.
He's also good at talking a lot, and internal monologues. But that's just quantity over quality for the "Good meter". Desna knows that if he were actually really good at talking - he wouldn't be here in THIS mess. He'd be a Governor or something.

He makes good use of both of his "good traits" , telling his companions the above pretty much word for word- instead of just think it ---and asking Desna to help! WHICH SHE DOES in glorious fashion.

Desna.... Coffee...they need a hospital tent....I coulda been a governor.
He also moves into position to get slammed by the two hedges and protect Cats from more brutality.

Desna's healing feels like a hot searing poker up his rear, not the metal kind either. Spurred into rage - "Oh yeah Brother! Mow them down!"

I love the WWF/WWE wrestling GIF as both Cats and I had a great revelation that Brother Butterfly looks a lot like King Kong Bundy and Iron Sheik mixed. The Curled mustache is very Iron Sheik.

Fearless rounds the building with a hedgeman on his heels. Cats swings his blade again, but his balance is off from previous misses and mounting injuries.

The Mariner makes another arcing slash with his sword, inflicting wounds on multiple foes and taking down one of the savages.

Brother Butterfly channels energy, healing the Watchmen.

Brother sees Mariner use his greatsword with expert strength and ability. He also sees Cats get a solid blow in with his curved Elven blade. It's time for him to do his primary job, if he did it well, he will have made himself a target- get bludgeoned, and then Desna comes in and heals everyone.

Two of the hedgemen fall, and one of the manbiters too.

The Mariner reverses the swing of the broadsword back upon the madmen, like chaffy grain beneath the thresher's flail.

Now that Fearless has a moment to study the plant he tries to recognize it for what it is.

Mainly I just am looking for if they are intelligent or not to know if Mind Thrust would be effective at all. Other than that weaknesses or special attacks.


Fearless:
These plant creatures are living topiaries.
Part plant and part beast, living topiaries are moving flora that often look like decorative lawn ornaments used to adorn gardens and groves - though they can alter their shape at will.

Traits: A plant creature typically possesses the following traits.
• Low-light vision.
• Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, morale effects, patterns, and phantasms).
• Immunity to paralysis, poison, polymorph, sleep effects, and stunning.
• Plants breathe and eat, but do not sleep.

In short, mind thrust probably won’t work.

Fearless' mind knows that it has little to protect itself as more missiles split through his mind, some shattering it more while others heal and weld certain areas back together. In essence he is evolving into something unseen before.

Contingent, if attacked, immediate action mental barrier will go up giving Fearless an additional +4 Shield AC.

His mind hurts something fierce. Worse than it ever has before as tears well up in his eyes. "Help me." A faint, squeaky voice mumbles from his mouth.

More mental bullets fly from Fearless into the hedgeman, but he is unable to defeat it.

Cats slashes the toothy savage going for Butterfly’s boots and the Mariner sweeps back with his sword, disemboweling the other two and planting his sword in the one Cats’ took down, making sure it’s extra dead.

As the manbiters fall to the Watchmen’s blades more of the savages can be seen crossing the courtyard, while others begin to emerge from the building. One shouts a challenge in a strange foreign tongue.

”Chtenff c’ha!”

For Desna brings the thrill of the chase, the travel and the exploration. Especially the travel and exploration of places dark and dangerous.
With that, he says one of his most fervent and powerful prayers. Emitting a ring of pure energy that touches his companions. knitting wounds. and warming the heart.
Some don't like their heart warmed but BB won't hear complaints from his friends right now.

@ GM, while I like your HP chart, it's off a bit. PC's are pretty wounded. Channel 5/8

BB moves to block the door where others might come from. He doesn't want to be the one plugging the wall, as he'd best serve giving luck and healing, but he can be if Cats feels better at shooting these guys with arrows.
Fearless, bring it closer so Mariner can dispatch the plant, then we need to make a wall against the manbiters. Watch this arrowslit also!

Brother Butterfly heals his companions and moves to block the door with his girth. It’s a good thing too because a half-dozen more savages have descended from a second floor, and they look hangry.

Contingent on the rest of the party springing into action.
I'll hold the door as best I can take a couple hits. Cats, take out the Living Topiary and Fearless, use the cure wand you own on Mariner. Mariner, watch out for the two heading our way. Let them come to us, and then split them in two. You may need to calm down - and I know it'll make you tired, but if I can just hold this door.

BB is preparing to go fully defensive and hold the door.

Fearless’ dagger flies past the topiary, missing completely as Cats moves in with his blade.

”Ni!” The hedgeman screeches as it tries to dodge, but ends up moving right into the attack and is promptly cut into two small shrubberies.

The Mariner shoulders Brother Butterfly aside and engages the savages at the door. His sword slashes the manbiter across the stomach then impales it, taking it from the fight.

Grabbing his wand Brother Butterfly switches back to damage control and heals the Mariner.

The savage near Brother Butterfly grunts in surprise when a dagger flies out of nowhere and lodged in its shoulder. It’s eyes go wide when the dagger pulls free and spins back into Fearless’ hand. It’s still gawping when Cats steps up and slashes it across the stomach. It stumbles back, badly injured, but still in the fight.

The Mariner wounds a savage in the doorway, but his second strike almost becomes embedded in the doorframe after a wild miss.

Brother Butterfly uses his wand again and the Mariner feels not quite half-bad.

The dagger returns to Fearless's hand. "Clear a path! He is getting away." He gives chase, his mind protecting him.

Provoke AoO from Pink. Contingent, if attacked, immediate action mental barrier will go up giving Fearless an additional +4 Shield AC.

Seeing the man running, intent on opening more doors to overwhelm them Fearless concentrates on causing the man to stop running. His mind overloads and the halfling nearly collapses as he builds a quick mental link to shut down the towner's mind.

Uhh, Cats, I think you misread something. Did you want to change your action? Or at least my moniker? Laughing!

Half expecting Cats to grab the bow that he has in hand- but instead, Cats moves gracefully next to and behind an enemy. Slipping between the two attackers and getting into a surprisingly good attack position.

Left holding the bow in hand, Brother gives a threatening move to the dainty "fanger" in pink next to him. Making a move like he's going to club the bugger with it. Possible retribution against the one that clubbed BB not 6-10 seconds ago.
Knowing that he still needs to maintain attack position, and continue to heal Mariner and the rest, He releases another of Desna's healing and refreshing waves.

He smiles, displaying his sharp teeth. ”Be not afraid. Fear spoils the meat.”

Fearless sends forth psychic missiles. One blasts the savage facing Cats right off his feet, but some sort of magical shield shimmers in front of the tall man. Shield spell

Cats cuts deep into the prone biter at his feet.

Pressing into the building to the north the Mariner cleaves into the savages there, reducing their number by one and leaving the other two bloody.

Brother Butterfly summons a spiritual blade that cuts the tall savage badly. He growls in anger and focuses his gaze on the hefty cleric.

A spiritual weapon can not provide a flanking bonus because it does not threaten squares around it (because it is tiny and has no mind of its own). Because it does not threaten adjacent squares it cannot make attacks of opportunity.
