DM DoctorEvil |

I have all your updates loaded in my profiles and am ready to move on. I will, based on your comments, open a re-recruitment thread. I will specifically ask for a damage dealer, and then want your assistance in selecting the right person to fit the group.
Please post comments or questions in the thread, but don;'t vote there. You can vote here, or by PM. I reserve the right to break ties or veto choices.
I will post also in Gameplay to get us started again.

Cadas |

it will be my pleasure to help.
on another note I see that some people are using Wayfinder to respond to the lists. It saddens me that its not available for iPhones. Someone say something if it becomes available.

Tinuviel Surana |

If we go with someone who has experience with PbP, then I'd like someone with a track record of good communication and persistence. Life happens and sometimes a player has to leave, but it would be lovely to get notice about it.

DM DoctorEvil |

Thank you to all 4 of you for responding to favorites at the recruit thread. I closed recruitment and narrowed the field from 8 original to 4 (you all chose someone different for your recommendation).
The four are listed here:
1) Bjorn Arinbjornson - druid bear shaman
2) Korvek - dwarf fighter
3) Ro'kun - half-orc 2 handed fighter
4) Davorik - human 2 weapon fighter
I have tasked them with how they would interact with each player in the game so far, and will see what they come up with.
If you would be so kind as to look at these 4 and then rank them in your order of preference with any comments in a PM, it'll make my job easier.
The will of the group will likely be the deciding factor.

Cadas |

PM sent. I do not mind if you share my comments with the others.
And I have to add that if you allow the dire wolf mount for Ro'kun, Cadas will buy a dire bear mount. That is sooo much cheese. Sorry if you are reading this Ro'kun and take it wrong but I have never seen someone try to by an exotic mount that even a Cavalier is not allowed to ride.

DM DoctorEvil |

I haven't heard from Rogar, but the rest of you agree on Korvek and Davorik as your two choices just in different orders. I will narrow it down to those two and decide myself on them.
As far as the game goes -- you have been in the Catacombs a long long time in RL. It might be time to go back and re-review why you went down there and what happened before, so you have some idea where to pick the game back up. If you need a refresher post, just tell me.

Synopsis
You all arrived in Sandpoint for the Festival of Desna which was interrupted by Goblin attacks. You discovered that the goblins also took the body of the old priest Father Tobyn and suspected that the attack was merely a ruse for that theft. Some of the goblins had a strange 7 pointed star token on them.
You learned a little about Tobyn and his daughter Nualia who had "died" in the fire at the church. When Ameiko was captured you rescued her from more goblins and from her half-elf half=brother Tsuto. Reading Tsuto's journal (it's links are in the campaign tab) you found some disturbing facts:
1) another raid is planned with the quasit's aid and with much more force
2) Nualia is alive and used her father's bones in some strange ritual
3) Tsuto and Nualia are allied with Ripnugget, chief of the Thistletop tribe of goblins
4) Nualia is obsessed with the lower levels and Malfeshnekor, whatever that means.
Also below the Glassworks you found an old smugglers tunnel which ran under the city, perhaps the way the goblins were able to get up into the Glassworks undetected. Exploring the tunnels, you stumbled upon an ancient ruin with horrible creatures who seemed to spawn out of an icy cold orange pool. The quasit referenced in the journal was also found here and dispatched. Further investigation confirmed her alliance with Tsuto and Nualia.
Ok - that's a quick version of the last several months campaigning. There is also links to all the relevant NPC's you've met so far on the Campaign Info tab.

Korvek |

Aha! Astounding success! ^_^
Well met, ladies 'n gents, it looks like I'll be your new meatbag! Thanks to all of you for giving me the opportunity, and in particular to the DM for being open to 'fresh meat' so to speak. I look forward to joining the fray, and I hope to be of service. :)

Korvek |

Alright, finances adjusted (My precious axe. T.T That's okay though I'll get a new one. A better one. >:D). Thankfully I had difficulty spending my allotment, so it wasn't difficult to stick to the new budget.
Traits:
-Muscle of the Society (+2 Strength vs Doors/Portcullises, and +2 Strength for carrying capacity)
-Defender of the Society (+1 AC while wearing medium/heavy armor)
-Steel Skin (Don/Remove heavy armor in half the time. +2 Intimidate checks while geared up)
Flaws:
-Ruined Eye (Korvek lost his left eye some time ago and I figure it would make for a reasonable flaw. My first suggestion for the 'math' penalty would be a penalty to ranged attacks due to lack of depth perception. Alternatively perhaps a penalty to perception involving sight.)
ROTRL Trait:
-Hagfish Hopeful (+2 Fort vs disease/poison)

Korvek |

Come to think of it, the bulk of Korveks wealth went towards his armor, but all in all it suits the character really. My reasoning would be that his father had prepared him a suit of armor, knowing full well his son would once again set out, in hopes of keeping him safe. Also as a memento, a reminder that he's the son of a wallwarden. And of course the rest of the gold being spent on gear/provisions/pocket change about makes sense for a young adventurer just starting out. :P

Cadas |

Hey Korvek, since you cannot have two traits of the same type (social, combat, etc) I suspect you cannot have two "of the society traits." One is generous by my thinking as we are not really pathfinder society. I guess since the society exists in the world you can be a member though.
Looked it up. All three of these are combat traits. Sorry but officially you can only have 1 combat trait.

Cadas |

"of the Society" is officially for PFS but most judges are good with you taking one. But its a rule as far as I understand that traits have to be from different sources. So no two (or three) combat traits.

Korvek |

Hmm...
Traits:
-Muscle of the Society(Combat)
-Contagious Mettle(Social)
-Called(Faith)
-Hagfish Hopeful
Flaws:
-Ruined Eye
That should work out better. I actually really like the "called" trait, it gives Korvek a good reason to be so restless. To go out on adventures 'n such.
Thanks for the help Cadas. :)

DM DoctorEvil |

Here are the items left unappraised, or not appraised correctly so far:
1) 8 pouches of silver dust
2) leather flask of liquid
3) silver earrings
4) tiara
5) silk gown
6) obsidian jackal holy symbol
You may also post here what, from the Loot Tracker, you want to sell. I will want at least two people to agree to the plan before accepting it.
Then I'll tell you the value and you can buy any upgrades to weapons armor or gear at your leisure.

Cadas |

Using guidance from her deity Cadas considers the value of these items. She will also cast Detect Magic to make sure she understands their magical natures, if any.
Appraise Silver dust: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Appraise leather flask of liquid: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Appraise silver earrings: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Appraise tiara: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Appraise silk gown: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Appraise obsidian jackal holy symbol: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
She will share her opinion with her party and look for consensus.

Robin the Jester |
Looking at the loot tracker, seems like we would want to sell the following at a minimum:
Goblin Leather Armor x10
Goblin Light Wood Shieldx10
Dogslicers x10
8 pouches of silver dust
Silver Earrings
MW Handaxe
cold iron Dagger, returning +1
tiara
Silk gown
Obsidian Jackal symbol of Lamashtu
We also might want to sell the +1 Longsword; but on the other hand, we might want it in case of DR/magic.

Cadas |

Ditto. Sell everything, with the exception of what we can use now. Can anyone else try to appraise the items remaining? We do not have a sale price for a few items so can not get a total yet. Which means we cannot calculate a split, which means we cannot shop.
Spellcraft on potion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Close but still unknown. Tinuviel? Robin?

Cadas |

Split 4 ways, selling what Robin suggests plus the sword we end up with 1655.25 each, not counting the gown.
That leaves the party with the following that I know about
+1 Ring - Cadas is wearing
MW Thieves Tools - Robin
Silver Dagger - ?
Scroll of Flaming Sphere - Tin
leather flask - Rogar should carry this once we know what it is

Tinuviel Surana |

Bunch of appraise/spellcraft rolls
Tinuviel looks over the accumulated goods and calls upon her inner merchant.
Silver dust 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Liquid 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Spellcraft on same 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
Earrings 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Tiara 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Silk gown (pretty!) 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
Holy symbol 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Tinuviel proudly points at the liquid and says, with absolute certainty, "This is a potion of cure light wounds. We may want to keep it."

Robin the Jester |
Silver dust: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Silver earrings: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Tiara: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Silk Gown: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Holy Symbol: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Robin has no idea what any of these items are worth. "What're we worried about? Savah is nice - she even gives us a discount!"

DM DoctorEvil |

The leather flask is indeed a potion of CLW which is in Rogar's possession now. The silver dagger I had Cadas carrying, but that can change. If you sell off all the things you can beside those above, the total is 6631. Split 4 ways, that's 6631 each.
Savah can only come up with about 3600 gp in coin and that's with raiding her rainy day fund. She offers the rest (3000gp) to you in store credit. She will have MW items of most any kind and can work out deals for basic wands or potions with Varshali Voon at the magic shop.
So, in essence, you all take 900gp in coin and the rest (750 each) in credit to use at the store with the 10% discount. I am updating your loot tracker to reflect such.
Late EDIT: Savah will NOT buy the Lamashtu holy symbol and makes a warding gesture and seriously urges you to put it away, when you show her.

I had already done the math above. Did you miss that? And you forgot to divide it up, unless you really want each of us to have 6631 each.
I still need to know what the gown sells for and can do a final tally. I had through the same thing about the Lamashtu statue. Would it be worth anything broken up as semi-precious stone?

DM DoctorEvil |

I did see the math above, but since you had only estimated values for some items, the subtraction of the holy symbol, and the value of the silk gown (25gp) added in, I was just confirming her actual buy price.
I did split it up below, but the actual split is 1657.75 per person (without a share for Smoke) and I just rounded that down to 900gp in coin and 750 in credit for a total of 1650 each. If that 7.75 per person (31gp total) is critical to you, you can squeeze that out of Savah, I bet.
Remember her 10% discount on items in her store, you don't get the discoun in the Feathered Serpent. Uncommon items may take ordering from Magnimar etc.
The Lamashtu symbol is obsidian and you could probably break it up into chunks and get another 1-2gp for it.
List your buys here. Once we get into a next fight, you'll need to be geared up or just be carrying the coin/credits.

Robin the Jester |
Robin is interested in the following (applying 10% discount to the armor, if that's possible):
Mithral Chain Shirt (990gp)
Wand of cure light wounds (750gp)
Spring-Loaded Wrist Sheath (for the wand) (5gp)
Total spent: 1745gp
Robin starts to pour all his coin onto Savah's counter. "Wait, there's more!" He reaches into his sleeve and pulls out more coin. Then he takes off his hat and more coins appear underneath. "Okay, time for the super-secret stash." He takes off a shoe and shake them over the counter, as coins clatter on the table. "Hm, I guess I'm just a little -- short! Get it?" Robin climbs onto the counter, reaches behind Savah's ear, and appears with a gold coin in his hand. He sets it into Savah's palm. "Okay, that oughta cover it!" He smiles brightly at Savah.
Robin is completely broke after all those purchases!

Rogar Stefanssen |

I'm going to masterwork and +1 my shield and buy an Masterwork Agile Breastplate.
So 1165 for the shield, 650 for the Masterwork Agile Breastplate. 1815 total
-10% = 181.5
So 1815-181.5= 1633.5 total. if she has those things, if not I'll work something out with the smith.
