Hearing the sounds Bethany lets the red cover her vison and the laugh grow. She walks closer to the central sarcophagus and readies her hammer. With a giggle she whispers.

Seeing Bethany mutter something from the north side of the sarcophagus, Grilnik circles around to the south of the chamber, hoping that at least one of the pair will be able to hammer out the problem causing the creepy whispering.

A few second after the moaning has build up to a extremely loud level a seething black cloudy creature raises out of the stone sarcophagus. It wails loudly.
Grilnik's readied swing goes straight through the creature, without seemingly to get any purchase at all.
The group quickly reacts to the arrival of the new creature.

You know it is a Wraith. Wraiths are undead creatures born of evil and darkness. They hate light and living things, as they have lost much of their connection to their former lives.
You would know that they are only damaged by magic/magic items. Though all corporeal sources are going to take half damage. Except for channels, cure spells, and force magic.
You also don't want this thing touching you. It drains your life away.

After watching his hammer pass through it, Grilnik recognizes the creature with shock clear on his face.
"Wraith!"
"We need magic to hurt it!" dropping his hammer, Grilnik quickly finds the party's wand of Cure Light Wounds that he keeps in his pouch.
"Return to nothing!" He shouts as he steps forward to stab at the cloud with the wand.

Boy people seem to disagree with critting on a damaged cure light.. But pretty sure it would crit.. My ruling at least... BUT it is also immune to crits.. soooo Going to do normal damage.

Grilnik stabs forward with his wand and unleashes a wave of positive energy into the creature. It seems to flair with white light.
Brynn's arrow flies forward and seems to hurt the creature, but not quite as much as she would hope as it slips through it. The second arrow misses the creature.
The creature turns to Grilnik and lashes out with waves of its ghostly hands.

The ghostly creature moves to keep its back against the wall, but alines better with Grilnik. Seemingly focusing his attention on the Dwarf.

Grilnik's attack seems to miss the strange spectral creature. A strange force pushes his hand away just as he tries to deliver the Positive Energy into the creature.
Bethany's swing just misses the creature too, the heavy hammer is deflected just to the side at the last second and it strikes the ground. The small human suddenly out of breath.
The Creature continues its strike against the Dwarf.

"Come around, Beth. I need to concentrate to catch your breath."
Grilnik steps back Behind Vors to get a moments reprieve from dodging the spirit.
BTW, I just checked, and it's 1+1+1+2+1=6 spaces of movement to move around behind the sarcophagus if you're interested...
Also I double checked, fatigue gives -2 Str & -2 Dex but doesn't penalize move speed directly :D
using Calming Touch on Bethany to remove fatigue (and 2 other things she doesn't have) and heal nonlethal damage (which she also lacks)

As the final volly of attacks strikes the ghostly creature it sways in a flashing light.
As Bethany moves quickly around it attacks her with a spectral hand.

The creature strikes at Bethany, but she quickly gets into position and strikes at the creature with the power of her god behind the hammer. As it strikes the ghostly creature, almost seeming solid as it strikes, you can briefly hear the sound of a busy tavern.
The ghostly image starts to quiver and shake. The shadows inside it start to fade. it seems to implode in on itself. The room goes quiet.
As you all collect yourself you can look inside the center Sarcophagus.

As for the others...
- Mnemonic vestments are for spontaneous casters, so none of us can make use of that.
- Maximize metamagic rod... Did Grilnik want it? Might be nice to maximize your healing spells? If not Brynn will take it and let someone else have the slippers.
- Ring of force shield... Brynn doesn't need it.

Grilnik ignores the alcoves for the moment, peering into the sarcophagus. He beckons to Brynn. "Hey Brynn, you've read about stuff. Do you know what these do?"

Brynn, who's halfway through changing her boots into a pair of magical slippers pauses, then smiles. "Yes, of course."
She packs away her old boots and passes a rod to Grilnik. "You might get some use out of this, dear. It will bolster your spell casting. Very handy if you've got the hands to wield it."
She plucks out some clothing and a pair of rings and gestures for Grilnik to turn around, then packs the objects away in his backpack. "These are for selling. Should fetch good coin."
With the goods sorted, Brynn helps Vors look around for any other clues as to how to deal with dragons.

As you all look around the room, hoping for some explanation of who this was, or more information about the place. You find some old engravings. They mention the name Arturic, as well as a few others.
Arturic is the name of Lady Tula's husband. And the other 4 names seem to be her cousins.
As your legs are wet from the floor below Forgot about the water.. oops you go through the items. Unsure about where to go next.
As far as you know there is no other area you missed.. But you feel like you . missed something.. like where Lady Tula is burried
