Looking to Amen-set, she simply added, "No offence levied upon you, little sister, for I am well aware of your many virtues."
Amen-set bows politely to Rain, but as her gaze moves between Horatio and Rain she seems a bit uncomfortable.
”With respect, my senet and to thee, my hatey-a', I would ask that thy both put aside any misunderstandings that thy have. The last several days have been stressful on us all; yet we are all shipmates as well as family now.”
”I apologize if I have spoken out of turn,” she says to them both and bows again.
Horatio glances at her, then Rain, and nods.
”You’re right, lass,” he says to her.
He turns to Rain.
”Sorry for any issues, Pilot-Major; she’s right, it’s been stressful for all of lately. Anyhow, I hope there’s no hard feelings?” he says, tipping his forelock to her.

Turing to Horatio VAriel tries to explain a bit more to him. I consider hiring new deck hands the least important of the tasks we are accomplishing. While Dhaavan has no peer with his guile and forked tongue of his, well it may not be forked anymore, Amen-set has her own set of skills that compliments nicely for performing multiple tasks at once. We send in Dhaavan to get the primary target and Amen-set and you to get the secondary target. If we don't hire anyone new that is fine as we do not need them at this time. We do need as much information as we can though on the Apothecary.
While Dhaavan, Jiro and Rain may not be the best at healing I know from experience that they are all capable of keeping someone from bleeding out and restoring some vitality to people. Also, no offense to Adular, but he is not the most stealthy of individuals and thus the reason I had him with me. I will let him decide though where he feels he can be of most use.

So who's doing what now? Give me bullet points and I will move along.
Adular
Hoping to stave off some confusion Variel tries another tack with Horatio and amen set, Perhaps Flynn you and Amen set could comb the area and inquire as to information about the apothecary. Rain has much information that she shared with us but things might have changed since she last knew.
Dhaavan can leave with Jiro and Rain as planned to scout the area first while you garner what information you can. I can go with Adular to recruit some more hands for the ship and we all meet back here in a few hours. Make sure you are back before sundown or we will assume the worst and come looking for those missing.
He looks around at the group. Agreed?
"My humble skills at hooking em are yours, captain." Adular chuckles.

"Okay, that's fine," he says.
He motions to Amen-set and prepares to head out, then he pauses and turns a glance to Variel.
"That reminds me; why exactly are we doing this again? What I mean is; weren't we going after some naga at some point? Did that plan stop altogether, or am I missing something?"
Before he gets an answer, he simply holds up his hands and shakes his head.
"Hey, you know what? No worries - it doesn't matter. I was just curious as to why we're doing this is all, but I got it. That's what we're going to do," he says then shrugs and heads out.
Horatio and Amen-set are going into town. They are going to meet with the Halfling that they met with last time to try to get some information from him, first.

Seijiro will go with Rain as backups to Dhaavan. He'll stay in the shadows as much as possible when they get within the vicinity of the shop.

"There is no dispute between us, Flynn. Let us carry on as always."
----------------------------------------
So who's doing what now? Give me bullet points and I will move along.
Rain and Jiro will follow Dhaavan toward the apothecary shop but remain a discreet distance behind him, so they're not seen together. Rain and Jiro will keep out of view mostly - I'm assuming Jiro will utilise his chameleon skin to fade into the background via super stealth and Rain will swiftly kick in her animal focus (OWL: The creature gains a +4 competence bonus on Stealth checks) and move between shadows/cover. Rain will find a place nearby to the apothecary - a hidden/out of the way alcove and wait there covertly within hearing and seeing distance in case she is needed to help Dhaavan. Rain will then change her animal focus swiftly to Falcon (+4 to Perception) to ensure her senses are as keen as possible for this mission.
I'm presuming Rain and Jiro do not hide and wait in the same place, but are close enough to each other and the apothecary.
Stealth not to be seen/noticed by those in shop with animal focus owl: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 11 + 4 = 29
Perception to watch and listen with animal focus falcon: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 14 + 4 = 23
Stealth if Rain needs to move any closer to see or hear but keep to cover/hidden: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
-------------------------------------------
FLYNN, are you still botting Dhaavan? I didn't see an answer when I asked previously. Thanks.

Sorry for lack of posting. Family over for memorial day weekend so kind of crazy.
Situated at the corner of Fiddler’s Lane and Anchor Way, two streets close to the center of Port Peril, the Jasperleaf Apothecary is a large three-story building among several other shops and businesses. Behind the humble storefront lies the faded grandeur of a decaying manor built a century ago. The first and second floors’ exterior walls are clay brick 1-1/2 feet thick, and the third floor walls are timber 6 inches
thick. Stone tiles 1 inch thick cover the roof, and unless noted otherwise, the windows are shuttered and nailed shut. The building has one large chimney, which narrows at the top to an opening 1 foot square, protected by a reinforced iron grille.
There is a strong wooden door that leads into the apothecary, it appears to always be locked, as if customers must request entry to purchase items.
Horatio Flynn
Well, I guess I'll still bot Dhaavan, then.
Dhaavan peers at the building with narrowed eyes.
He moves closer and casts Detect Magic to seek any wards or magical shields on the building.
If he sees no ward or shield, he shall send Jack aloft to scout the area, specifically looking toward the chimney. If the slots on the grill are narrow enough, Jack shall move inside it. If they are not, he shall seek another opening.
If no opening is present to move through subtly, Dhaavan will turn to his companions and make some glib remark to the effect that force is the long arm of diplomacy...
At which point I believe Dhaavan will look to Rain and Jiro and see if they have any ideas about how to enter the place; short of teleporting through the walls and see what's behind them.
Meanwhile
Horatio has decided to begin his search for more information with the most direct ally he met while here last time. Specifically, he's looking for the Halfling leader of the Warehouse that he met while liberating the slaves and bringing them here.
Of course, until/unless I get more information on that subject formally, I don't believe either Horatio or Amen-set can proceed in their formal Gather Information check.
Once I get that information specifically, I'll be in a better position to RP out that conversation as well as any potential rolls that are asked for.
Rain Taneththir
Rain gestured for the sorcerer to knock on the wooden door. She whsipered to Dhaavan, "Knock on door and request entry - use your charm to convince them you seek to make purchase before you leave port this day. "
Rain wondered if the charm and bluff would work. If none answered or no movement could be heard within the lower floor, they could attempt to pick the lock but she had no talent for such things. Jiro may, she mused silently.
Looking up at the second and third floors, Rain wondered if she could fly up, quietly, and listen discreetly by the shuttered windows to determine if there was movement in the upper rooms of the building. She gestured to her two companions her intent to fly up and then back down. She unfurled her leathery wings and took to the air.
Stealth to fly up unnoticed with Mythic Surge : 1d20 + 11 + 1d6 ⇒ (17) + 11 + (2) = 30
Perception to hear anything through closed windows with animal focus: owl: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 14 + 4 = 26
Once she has completed her task, she will descend and keep out of sight as backup for Dhaavan.
Immortal, can we see smoke coming from the large chimney currently?
Horatio Flynn
Rain gestured for the sorcerer to knock on the wooden door. She whsipered to Dhaavan, "Knock on door and request entry - use your charm to convince them you seek to make purchase before you leave port this day. "
Dhaavan turns to Rain.
"Make sense; all the windows are locked and the the chimney itself is impassible because of the constant smoke belching from the chimney. Not even Jack can fly down that the smokestack," he adds, the last word more of poetic exaggeration for the chimney itself.
Got that information from the GM via IM.
She gestured to her two companions her intent to fly up and then back down. She unfurled her leathery wings and took to the air.
Slight Ret-con before Rain decides to move
Dhaavan instantly tells Rain to stop her action -
"Rain, please don't do that," he said.
"This building is on a busy street and its heavily guarded with all those shutters and the grating over the chimney and everything else. If you fly across the street and up to the window then its a cinch that someone will probably see you flying above the street and being by the window and they'll make noise from the street that will alert whoever is inside when they do."
"Instead - before you try that, we're going to send Jiro."
He looks at the kitsune.
"You have the magical ability to teleport - you are also so sneaky now that you're basically able to move like you're invisible," he says to Jiro.
"Meantime, you are here to assist us in doing some stealthy recon work, so that means we need you to go over there and listen at the windows and - if possible - use your magic to teleport inside the place and continue to use stealth and see what's around, and then let us know what's up," he presses.
"You came on this mission to help; so before Miss Rain goes flying across the street to that building to be stealthy, or before I go over there you are going to be stealthy and check things out, savvy?" he adds with a firm but polite voice.
He turns to Rain and grins.
"We have some kind of master rouge with us, he'll get it done without anyone seeing him and bring the information back to us without problem."
Rain, I think it would be better if we sit tight until Jiro uses his stealth checks, ability to teleport and his Perception check to scout out the area.
Rain Taneththir
Rain was silent as Flynn spoke. She did not fly to the upper storey windows as she had offered to do. Rain was not aware that Jiro could teleport - aye he had the chameleon skin but that did not provide him with more power than to move unseen.
Instead she whispered,
"I took to heart something the assassin, Giles, said earlier, Acting normal is the key to staying invisible. In that case, why don't you walk normally up to the front door and speak the passphrase 'Two pounds of powdered thileu bark' and see if it gets you in."
Rain Taneththir
Botting Jiro
The Kitsune's skin rippled with the colours of the surrounds as he moved along in the shadows toward the apothecary.
Once there, he remained hidden, looking at the multi-storey mansion and hearing Rain advise Dhaavan to act normal and go to the door and call out the password, the kitsune whispered, "Try Rain's suggestion first, and, if that does not work, I will move in."
Jiro waited close by, Rain to his side, his camouflage skin blending in with the shops and pavement making him very hard to see.
Stealth with camo skin advantage when moving: 1d20 + 20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 + 20 = 55
Stealth with camo skin advantage when stationary: 1d20 + 20 + 40 ⇒ (2) + 20 + 40 = 62
Jiro has his shinobi shizoku (+2 to stealth, allows wearer to go incorporeal 5 rounds per day, Blindsight at 10' radius for 5 rounds per day) but he cannot teleport. Is this what you meant, Flynn?
Horatio Flynn
"I took to heart something the assassin, Giles, said earlier, Acting normal is the key to staying invisible. In that case, why don't you walk normally up to the front door and speak the passphrase 'Two pounds of powdered thileu bark' and see if it gets you in."
Botting Dhaavan; Horatio went with Amen-set to find information about the apothecary somewhere else, but here is Dhaavan's response):
Dhaavan nods at Rain.
"Okay, sounds good," he says, favoring her with a grin.
Dhaavan walks up to the door and after a moment he speaks -
"Hello? Anyone there? Hi, I'm an interested buyer."
"Specifically I'm interested in - Two pounds of powdered thileu bark," he says, emphasizing the last point more clearly as he attempts to follow Rain's advice and seem not only normal, but also use the password to produce some results.
Now we wait for the GM :)

Jiro has his shinobi shizoku (+2 to stealth, allows wearer to go incorporeal 5 rounds per day, Blindsight at 10' radius for 5 rounds per day) but he cannot teleport. Is this what you meant, Flynn?
Yes! Thanks, Rain. I forgot the specifics; but yes - in this case, my assumption was that if there was no magical shield or ward that (possibly) Jiro could hide across the street and then go incorporeal (Round 1) and (theoretically) use his Move Action to move across the street and through the wall (unless it was more than 30 feet away). Round 2 he could be past the wall, use Perception as a Standard Action and then his Move Action to move back where he started. Then, theoretically, he could pick another point of "entry" (like the other side of the building) and do the same thing again (I think that would be only 4 Rounds total, depending on the distance). Then, after he got the data, he could report back to Rain and Dhaavan and let them know how many "threats" were on the first floor at least, and where they were generally located (in case Rain needed to break through a window; knowing where the threats were located could help Rain pick the best window to choose from, maybe?). Finally, if Dhaavan went in and things went south, Jiro could use the last Round and then take a Move Action to charge into the building even if the doors were shut and Dhaavan was inside.
Anyhow, that's what "Dhaavan" meant, but I guess we'll see what happens next :)

A slide opens on the door at eye level and looks out at Dhaavan carefully for a moment. When Dhaavan says the password however, he hear several chains and locks unlatch before the door opens noiselessly. This neatly ordered shop has a long counter with a tall stool behind it, and display shelves stocked with containers and jars. Samples of plants, tubers, and roots hang from hooks up on the walls and the scented fragrance of herbs suffuses the store. The guards are all outfitted with the same gear, bearing the design of the Jasperleaf Apothecary, a caduceus over a golden leaf. They carry bows, cutlasses and bucklers and are wearing chain shirts over black leather jerkins.
Two guards are stationed by the door, the one who opened the door says nothing but merely leads Dhaavan down a hallway to a plush meeting room. Two padded reclining chairs and a well-upholstered divan are set around a low table here. To one side, a cabinet holds crystal glasses and wine bottles. The large mantled fireplace set with a bronze fire screen in the corner and the wooden paneling on the walls add to the room’s cozy atmosphere.
The guard pours Dhaavan a glass of wine before leaving the room. A few minutes later, a tall mwangi woman enters the room. Zarskia Galembar, she says pleasantly, How may I help you? Zarskia wears a chain shirt of some shimmering silvery metal and has a pair of well made if strange looking, short heavy swords at her hips. Contrasting with her dark skin beautifully, she has multiple pieces of jewelry in gold and silver, rings, bangles, necklaces, and anklets adorn her. Pouring herself a glass of wine, she sits in the other chair and waits for your reply.

When Dhaavan makes to move in, not sure what Rain can see other than the door slot and the two guards by the door...?
The password had gained the sorcerer access to the apothecary and that was a fair start. Rain watched as Dhaavan was ushered into the establishment. Did the guards close the door behind Dhaavan?
Rain settled in and began the wait. Her senses were actively engaged as she listened for sounds within the shop and also noted any patrons coming and going from the apothecary - and if any seemed known/familiar to her. Also, she was on the lookout for any other threats as she remained in her hiding place.

The wall quickly evaporates to your eyes Seijiro and you are able to see into the front room. There are two guards there, one of them speaking to someone in a hallway out of sight.

Seijiro breaks contact with the wall and tells Rain "We've got trouble... they are talking about strapping Dhaavan down gagged and blindfolded in a laboratory... I think we need to intervene. I can go through the wall, but I've never tried to take anyone with me... or I can try the locks but if they are on the inside, I don't know how I'd get through them from the outside. I suppose I could go in invisible next to the front door, unlock the locks for you from the inside, and let you in."

"Or I could walk to the door, speak the passphrase and be on the ready to attack if they open the door? You will be invisible and already inside. How many people in the shop? Or I can go now, fly to Variel, and return with him and the others? I am not certain where Flynn and Amen got to." Rain's whispered as she contemplated an effective plan of action before it was too late for Dhaavan.

"Can you not simply let Neko know we need the others and have her let them know, or is the distance too great?"
