Jarrek, the text for the haste spell says that you only get an extra attack with a full attack action, not a standard action to attack. Is there something I've missed that gives you the second attack?

For the first time in centuries, Gorum's Thorn is unsheathed in battle. Its long idleness has not diminished its lethal power, though. Kronug lands a mighty blow on the giant and sweeps its feet out from under it. The sound of its fall echoes through the forest. But giants are not so easily slain as that...it still moves.

Meanwhile, Seamus puts his pyromaniacal proclivities to work. He neatly drops a bomb on the blue-clad orc, splashing burning liquid over most of the others and the giant. All three of the incidental targets manage to avoid the worst of it, though.

Rise of the Runelords Pt2|RotRL Pt 3| Giantslayer|Emerald Spire| CORE Emerald Spire

This round, the ones who were in combat moved 60', so the folks with 30' normal movement could keep up with them and attack (as long as the haste spell lasts). Those with 20' normal movement couldn't, though. Also remember that haste can only double your movement rate. The one who wasn't in combat ran 120', and started some distance from the party. Anyone could run after him and catch up with him, but would lose their DEX bonus to AC if he stopped and attacked.

How dos this sound? I'll take the orc to the north. The rest of you chase down the ones to the south. We should be able to catch them while we're hasted. Then we head to the fort and try to cut off the last guy, or maybe track him? We can play it on the fly.

No captives, hm?

Seamus, given the lay of the land and where you started in Round 2, you couldn't have run after the fleeing orc--running has to be in a straight line without obstacles, and there are trees in the way until you get roughly on a line with where he fled. So you'll get to run on your Round 3 action; unfortunately, that's after he moves. Your movement rate running while hasted is 160'/round.

Jarrek misses a fleeing orc, and the three remaining orcs continue to try to escape.

Seamus, Kronug, Haftor, and Trianne are up!
