Iolana presses on against the nearest foe, the ghoul surrounded by Gorba and Fleet, since the incoming waves make her current target harder to hit.
But since she must be careful not to harm the strange man's companions she misses the ghouls by few inches.

The other ghoul claws and bites... barely hanging on..
It manages to catch both Fleek and Garborn with its flailing wild claw strikes.

Gatherine was engaged in a frenetic dance with the black dagger-- ducking and weaving while swiping at it with Sneezy Dragon ineffectually.It dogged her like a persistent hornet,jabbing at her head,neck,and shoulders.
Already smarting from her previous nicks from the floating knife,she made a frustrated noise.Chanting,she repeated her earlier mantra and shot flame at the miasma.

With this blast of flame, the darkness around the priestess burns completely away.
She herself looks much like the ghouls, but with a pale greenish hue to her skin. A simple frock hangs loosely from her withered frame. Around one wrist is a coiled snake... around her waist is another. Searching eyes within the scaly skin of her belt, squirm around her waist. The serpent around her wrist slithers to her fist, and straightens its tail along her palm... protruding through her closed fist like a cestus.
She lifts her empty hand as before, but with more desperation... ready to mend dead flesh again as Syndlara prepares to strike...

Still in the steps of her sword-dance, Syndlara weaves her blade through the air as she twirls to face away from the miasma-woman. She arches her back until one hand is resting on the cavern floor, then kicks her feet up into a back walkover, past the miasma-priestess and blocking her means of escape. Stepping forward, she continues weaving her blade, cutting at the woman's back with force that belies the finesse of her swordsmanship.

Round 4 (dark priestess)
After slugged by Gorba and shredded by Fleek, the surrounded ghoul falls into the water in torn lifeless chunks.
Syndlara does cut into the hunched and knobby spine of the priestess, but fails to bring her down.
"ANCIENT POWER... HEAL DEAD FLESH!!"
The black smoky tendrils flare out from her again, but do not reach her ghouls in time... Iolana's foe falls splashing into the water before the priestess finishes her desperate words...

As the darkness around the priestess disperses completely, her eyes lock on the half-orc posturing in the center of the chamber. Mugambi's morningstar cracks against the side of her skull. She lets her head loll with the blow, but maintains her gaze. If she weren't a zombie, you might think she was "checking him out" by her leering look...
"You... shall replace-sss Dignin by my sss-side... as-sss my pet."

Eve looks at her hand as it starts to dry and turn grey... you hear a rumble, and a few loose stones fall from the ceiling a couple splash into the surf.
You see panic in the Priestess's face as her skull crumbles at the wound.
"Do not abandon me now Ydersssiusss!... "
The corpse of the zombie silverback starts to shrivel and shed...
"I still command death!"

"What's goin' on?" he roars over the chaos.

As the priestess reaches out, she turns to dust.. which falls to the chamber floor in a pile. The rumbling gets intense for just a moment.. then subsides.
You look over and see Eve now flat on the ground looking over.
"Mmm... good end to long life.", and then stops breathing... within seconds she withers to the point of looking like she had been dead for decades.
After enough stone falls to crumble the serpent carvings headless... the tremors stop completely.

Iolana looks around in a mixture of excitement and fright.She hasn't lowered her blade during the tremors,and even if she relaxes a bit when it stops,she still doesn't put the scimitar away.

The threat ended, Syndlara ends her battle dance with a final pirouette, leg raised at the knee. Smiling in exhiliration, she sheathes her scimitar with a flourish. "It would seem that our friend was linked to our foe," she observes, spotting Eve's simultaneous death throes. "And that she desired an end as much as our foe desired to live."
She glances around. "So...who or what is Ydersius?"

Belt of Mother's Eyes - three large serpent eyes open when commanded, and circle around the snakeskin belt. They stop and close their eyes after a few seconds - +3 saves vs poison +1 insight bonus to dodge AC, 1/day all-around vision for 10 rounds CL6
Ring of the Cave Whisperer - This silver ring is set with a crystal in which a glowing, bound spirit constantly swirls. +2 competence bonus wild empathy checks with serpents and vermin, and a wearer with the woodland stride ability can move effortlessly, without harm or impediment, even through magically created or manipulated plants. This does not allow the wearer to move through solid objects or creatures.
Furthermore, the wearer can speak with serpents and vermin... as the spell speak with animals once per day. CL3
The snake cestus is particularly creepy and odd. It attempts to coil around wrist as you inspect it. It is made from some sort of magical dark grey/green stone material. (not ID'd, but you know to be cautious with this one..)

He feels tired, very tired and older than his years. Getting close to her body he retrives the skull mask and closes her eyes on what is left of her face.
After a minute he joins the girls in silence checking the magic itens.

Brindle fur bodysuit - this soft brown fur body suit fits neatly beneath armor. As a free action, the wearer can compress herself to fit through tight spaces as though affected by a squeeze spell for up to 10 rounds per day. While using the bodysuit's magic, she gains a +5 bonus on Escape Artist checks.
belt of tumbling This thin and flexible silk cord has a tightly wrapped springiness. The belt's wearer gains a +4 competence bonus on Acrobatics checks made to move through a threatened square or through an enemy's space.

The act of examining the amulet seems to have calmed Garborn down considerably, his normal tics and stuttering is at least momentarily repressed.

this is the last room... to the east of the chamber in which you just fought, is a tunnel back to the intersection chamber with the pool of water on the ground.
There is a "W" shaped serpent at the base of the crumbling throne, which looks like a pull handle
