This is the out-of-character discussion thread.
One thing I'd like to point out is that a play-by-post formatting thread worth taking a look at is DH's Guide to Play By Post gaming.
Also worth note is that if you want auditable dice rolls, you could try Invisible Castle, but I'm not too worried about you guys doing so.

Well, I dunno if Riken and Gorgowzowa have actually been played together or not; I stopped session tracking a while back. I want to say yes, since you've opted to play him after our new First Steps characters were created, and cwmjr has preferred Gorgowzowa.
Aside from that, what's to say that they haven't met at the Lodge in Absolom between scenarios anyway?
Now, if they get along... that's another RP issue altogether. ;)

Since Rilendo's going for the Spanish translation text, I'd like to point out that Google Translate offers a better translation of Pathfinders than "pioneros" ("pioneers"):
"los Conquistadores". It's both forward and reverse translatable, according to Google Translate. And it fits quite well.

Tiers and math time. I am referencing the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play (version 4.3, page 33 under "Determining Subtiers").
So, looking at the level totals, we have Gorgowzowa at 4; Rilendo at 5; Riken Utherson at 5; and Dae-Lhach Nestaron at 5. This would average out to (4 + 5 + 5 + 5) = 19; at four characters, 19 ÷ 4 = 4.75; rounding this APL to the nearest whole number per the algorithm, we're at 5, neatly between tiers.
So... play up to 6-7 or play down to 3-4? This decision has to be unanimous. I'm supposed to point out dangers of higher tier than you're leveled for, harder DCs, more lethal encounters, blah blah blah.

If you combine the dice and the IC url, it tries to roll the text of the link, but it parses out the =, so mine was like 1d20+822, for like 828 when I tried it. It seemed to keep the roll even if you previewed and changed text, etc, as I was testing it, so it might work vs. IC. I just never got an email from IC.
I say we play down, since none of us are even in the upper tier, but I'm open for discussion.

I'll point out that this is probably your last chance to play up for the higher tier's gold due to rule change.
But, yeah, playing with the dice tag was neat. You can't do division in it though (I tried parentheses with the tier and division):
"(4 + 5 + 5 + 5) / 4"
Average Party Level: 4 + 5 + 5 + 54 = 68
and "(4 + 5 + 5 + 5) ÷ 4"
Average Party Level: 4 + 5 + 5 + 54 = 68
But the post previewing the roll, editing the post and so on retaining the value is neat, but you can still force rerolls. But that's no different from using IC to roll 100 times and just posting the roll you actually like.

Ok, so, Debt of the Kirin from First Steps. I recall the jade katana had the Debt of the Kirin documents, correct? In our group's play through, as I recall (as does cwmjr), pebcakerror was kind enough for the BBEG to drop the katana (or maybe Gorgowzowa disarmed him?). And then we had the choice: Give them to Qadira (we didn't), give them to Amara Li (we did) or keep them ourselves (we didn't), correct? I swear that we gave them to Amara Li...
This scenario also wraps up the Debt of the Kirin boon. Now, if I'm correct and we gave them to Amara Li, I am going to play this a certain way in which she includes the PCs as holders of the debt. If, on the other hand, we completely bombed it (but why would cwmjr and I both recall having given them to Amara Li?), then no one has it and oh, well.
I'm just trying to jog everyone's memory on that scenario...
EDIT: Apparently Stryder vaguely recalls this as well. It seems to me that 'yeah, we got it, then gave it to Amara Li' is what happened, but, I want to make sure there's a consensus as to that between the matching set between those that played our First Steps game and those that didn't.

OK, so Rilendo's attack are odd. There's a masterwork longsword, 18 STR, 5 levels of fighter and a (maybe) masterwork shield.
Longsword attack should be at +10, which he has (+5 BAB, +4 STR, +1 masterwork). The damage should be +4 (+4 STR). The shield should be an attack at +9 (+5 BAB, +4 STR)*. The damage for the shield should also be at +4 (+4 STR). Am I missing something on the math, here? Are there other variables at play that I don't see?
* Why even a masterwork shield probably doesn't get +1 to attack: Unless you bought the shield as a masterwork shield and as a masterwork weapon, in which case it would have cost +450 gp for masterwork. Pathfinder treats weapon-and-shield items like double weapons, where you have to enchant each quality separately. So you could have a +5 shield with no enchantment on it, or a +2 shield and a +7 weapon, really. That's part of what I found out when trying to get tekko-kagi priced out for PFS play.
