I tried asking Uriah's player if there really wasn't anything his character would like to do during the time Cressida doesn't contact the party for a new mission. As there will be more of these free moments, I figured just sitting around and waiting for the others to finish may be a bit boring. I was hoping we could come up with something fun for Uriah to do.
Uriah's player let me know this kind of free roleplaying doesn't suit him, which can of course happen. For this reason he then decided to withdraw from the game. I was sorry to read this, but can understand his choice.
As for finding a new player: it was already planned to add an additional player at the start of your next mission. So far only Denario was aware of this, because I know both Denario and the new player personally and we happened to talk about it. Depending on several factors, this may or may not have resulted in a permanent or temporary leave for Allyph. Now the new player will replace Uriah instead.
You may or may not encounter the new player a bit earlier than originally planned, depending on some of the choices your characters make in the personal stories they're currently involved in. I'll let you know that multiple things that'll influence Korvosa in the near or far in-game future will be set in motion through your actions.

Thanks for the update, GM StephNyan. I'm sorry to see Uriah go and this holiday season was twerked our game/timing/rhythm a bit. I think it's been weird.
I look forward to welcoming the new yahoo and seeing what happens next.

The city map's been updated, allowing for locations to be added with more ease.
Baer, to get a better idea of the locations you're definitely aware of within Korvosa, could you pick a spot for your house? If a mission ever brings you close to that area, you may just have some extra knowledge about it.
Baer Mytr
Ooh! Not sure how I missed the above post, but Baer's house is on Baker Street, not far from the Academae and the Avenue of Arms.
Also, what was the status of getting another yahoo for the game? I have a PbP GM who could use a game. The good side is that's he's experienced and fun (and a former PFS VO), the bad side is that he's Canadian...so yeah...
Thought I would ask.
StephNyan
Haha, maybe you missed it because this discussion thread's always very calm xD
I didn't expect Baer to have a house so close to all the nobles in The Heights district. Though Baker street is on the northern edge of The Heights, one street away from having a view on Old Korvosa. (No noble would want to look at that.)
Anyway, Baer's house has been placed ;)
The new player is ready to jump in when the current party's done killing those who want to kill them and the party's loved ones.
If the party would like another player, I think we could add one more. I trust the experienced and fun part to outweigh the Canadian part of the player you suggest, Baer ;)
You're from one of the states, aren't you, Baer? At least you'll have someone from your continent join you. The other person who's going to join is Dutch, like every other player in this game :P

I am in the states, which is why I'm usually first/last to post so often.
As for the extra player(s), I'd excited about the extra voice. Allyph is fine, but I recognize that she can't push things the way other characters can. And to me, pushing the action and making things happen is essential to keeping the game moving.
I would hear what Den and Mav prefer as well.

I don't mind bringing the party up to six players, though I'm advocating for not more than 6, it might get confusing/cluttered at times I've seen that before.
Also nice hit there Baer, you think we got him already?

Only things I can see for so far as being handy are the potions of CMW, Inivisiblity and the Ring of feather Falling. What do you guys think of keeping those?
Mavor Asku
Most of them are circumstantial, Ring of Feather Falling certainly is, the potion of Invisibility could be worthwhile if we need an infiltration mission, but the potion of CMW seems good, ah well it's probably better to have a wand...
Ah well, sell them all...
665,06 gp + 1624,63 gp = 2289,69 gp left.
What to buy with 2k gold?
Could I upgrade my mwrk Greatxe to a +1 Greataxe?

Hey folks, I will be in travel status tomorrow (Friday), heading to Texas. Will have access while I'm there, but likely only once a day in the evening (GMT-6 time zone). If for some reason I drop off, feel free to robot me.
StephNyan
@Tural:
I completely forgot the target of Enlarge Person has to be "one humanoid creature", and you're not humanoid. You're a native outsider and that means Enlarge Person doesn't work on you, together with several other spells. If you had great plans for your character involving Enlarge Person and/or other spells that require you to be humanoid, I'm still fine with it if you take the following alternate racial trait for aasimars:
Just keep in mind that not being a humanoid can be both a blessing and a curse. Now you can't cast Enlarge Person on yourself, but enemies can't cast Charm Person and similar spells on you either.
Give both the good and bad sides some thought! I'll let you stay large during this combat phase, because I don't want to rush your decision.
Mavor Asku
I've actually had this discussion with my own table-top group 2 weeks ago. It's quite troublesome when you look at it, my aasimar eventually decided he could live with the inability to grow larger and the party has been buffing the monk ever since.
Mavor Asku
Actually we also had about the same question about Raise dead concerning the same Aasimar. Basically you need Resurrection to bring him back, that or a wish or Divine Intervention.
Also some classes also make you no longer a humanoid, monk for example, sorcerer with bloodlines as well. Shouldn't there be a Feat on high levels with which to still get beneficial spells despite being outsiders and not the negative ones?
Tural Ardas
I will keep Tural as he is :) It is an extra spell I got from my mystery. That said it is a really good one. I only used it on myself to give me the intimidating look, nothing else. In the future I want to use it on the melee party members. Which I am totally not xD
Sorry for the confusion!
Mavor Asku
Also don't forget you also get a +4 bonus to Intimidate while you're bigger, so it's not just for the look of being larger.
Tural Ardas
I did it for that reason actually. But my intimidate isn't the best... Would be better on one of you :)

@Mavor: I think that'd be quite a broken feat, if it gives an outsider all the benefits that come from the huge list of spells that exists while all the bad effects can't affect him. I can't remember a monk archetype or bloodlines that take the humanoid type away. Could you post them, if you remember the names? I do know the orc bloodline adds orc to your subtypes, which it seems makes you a humanoid if you weren't already.
@Tural: Okaydokay! In that case, enjoy Tural's unusual situation as long as this combat lasts :P
