Before you get to the crossbowman.

An axe sweeps out of the wall, taking Korum by surprise!

Axe Trap vs Korum: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

However, the axe misses the half-orc by a smidgen! Taking advantage of his opponent's surprise, Korum lands the head of his own greataxe into his opponent's head. Blood spurts, but it seems that thankfully his opponent managed to shift his head out of the way. The rest of his body, not so much.

On the way by, he shrugs at the crossbow bolts, but will happily bundle up whatever items the group chooses to loot and stuffs them an extra sack inside his backpack. As always, he's happy to carry the loot ... cause, ya know, it makes him useful. :D

Alright! If you could please modify the battle map link to this, that would be all sorts of banana pancakes awesome. It is also the last map we will need!

The Pathfinders begin their descent downwards, leaving the man to his fate.

His Fate:

The stairwell turns and turns and turns, until you find yourself entering a surprisingly open space. Of the floor though you see little, as a perpetual thick gray fog covers the floor of this positively ancient stone room to a height of about six inches, give or take. Four lugubrious alcoves extend from the circular center. If the one you have arrived in is the westwards wing, then the north and south wings are the ones lined with ceremonial slabs upon which rest skeletal bodies garbed in old finery, leaving the east alcove; a rather plain wing of this mausoleum with only a door at it's end and two rather surprised looking mercenaries, who immediately begin brandishing their crossbows. However, they stop short of attacking.

"How in Pharasma's name did civvies like you make it all the way down here?" asks the first, taking careful aim.

Hearing her brother spinning lies, Shaya makes an uncomfortable face It's a little too late to try and stand out of sight.

"Yeah. We're... muscle," she says with a throat clearing. She always feels itchy when she lies even a little bit, but she doesn't want to ruin Korum's play, here. Besides.... if they can get past these men without killing them, that's a greater good, she believes. That lends a bit more credence to her words as she slings the glaive over her back and says earnestly: "We don't want trouble with you. Honest."

Relieved at the apparent bypassing of bloodshed, Shaya finds a tentative smile for the first mercenary they are passing by. The lie sticks in her throat, but better a lie than a death, she thinks...

Klo's spear deflects off of the skeleton's hardened bone structure, while Dulcinea manages to crack one's skull, but without managing to break it completely. Klo's opponent steps on up but doesn't seem to really... know how to fight.

The half orc slides up to surround the skeleton with the blue tabard and brings his weapon down on it's skull.

Then speaking under the sound of combat, the rogue jerks his head toward Jikan and the remaining mercenary. "Aybemay we ouldn'tshay leave our astercay alone near the adguybay."
