Marcello starts to look around while Fate assumes the throne and Crystal examines the ancient rulers of The City, lost to legends and rumors centuries ago, yet remarkably preserved in this forsaken chamber. Though Crystal and Marcello suddenly find it more difficult to see, as it seems the day is beginning to revoke what meager light pours through the windows in the distant walls of the grand hall.
I assume some people are going to magic some light into existence, or else fumble around to light some braziers? Or just continue sleeping maybe?

Crystal Shalhoume |

Staying quiet, Crystal will whisper an incantation and a light appears on an empty sconce in the room, providing an artificial glow to the room as she uneasily winds her way towards the thrones. That missing occupant and crown occupy her thoughts, and she keeps an eye open for trouble.

DM-Kal |

Oh yeah, I remember that.
As Crystal and Victor illuminate nearby candelabras, the party becomes aware of something looming behind the 12-foot high great throne, towering above Fate. The skull of a giant, jaw hanging open and green vines laced throughout, bearing a mail coif and a nasal helm, sits atop shoulders girded in plated steel and stares down at Fate in silent judgment. And then it moves.
Initiative!

Crystal Shalhoume |

My invisibility lasts for 3 minutes, so don't know if I'm still invisible or not.
If invisible - Crystal will move up to Sarcon, drawing on the power of Asmodeus to strengthen the brute's blows even further! Bull's Strength
If visible - Crystal will call upon the power of Asmodeus to stifle the enemy's effectiveness. Cast Bane She will then call upon her innate powers granted by the Devil God to create a dual image of herself. Activate Copycat

![]() |

So I have like... One and a half minute left of Bull strength from Victor then? Seeing as it was casted after Crystal's invisibility.
Spotting the dead king's movement, Marcello quickly drew out his sword once more. "Fate! Behind you!" he yells and gestures with the sword toward the former ruler.
Having no obvious way of getting to it, Marcello instead moves to a more defensive point between the former king and Victor.

Victoria Fate |

"Vhile the varning is appreciated, Fate foresaw this occurrence."
Fate jumps up from the throne and moves to Marcello and Victor and draws a scroll of Bless.
Knowledge (religion) to identify creatures: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
I'm assuming they are undead and that's the right knowledge skill

Victor Ravenport |

Victor doesn't seem surprised at all by the sudden change of events and resigns himself to reaching a hand out towards Marcello and pumping him gently on the back of the head. An actions which seems to stimulate growth.
enlarge person.

Crystal Shalhoume |

Crystal again calls upon the powers of Asmodeus, asking her patron to throw the aim of the enemies' attacks off. She then draws her longbow, preparing to enter the combat.
Cast Bane, draw longbow.

Oh look! Flanking!
Sarcon gets into a more advantageous position and attacks the giant.
attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33
damage: 2d4 + 13 ⇒ (3, 2) + 13 = 18
Seeming to have lost all sence of reason, Sarcon also attempts to bite the skellie
bite!: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
double crits!!!
Confirmations!
attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
damage: 2d4 + 13 ⇒ (2, 4) + 13 = 19
bite!: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
I hope so, so that totals
37 damage from the sword
And
16 damage from the bite
So 53 damage that he should only get to apply his DR against once.

Victoria Fate |

Fate uses the scroll of Bless she pulled out last turn, and five-foots over behind Victor.
"You shall all feel the blessing of Fate." Through the eye slots in her mask, you see one of her eyebrows raise at Sarcon's display. "Though it may be nothing but a formality at this point."

Sry, had to do some celebrations.
As the King moves toward Marcello, he smirks in joy and swings his sword over his head.
AoO: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
Damage AoO: 3d6 + 17 ⇒ (4, 3, 4) + 17 = 28
Taking the hit from the longsword makes a sickening crunch from Marcello as he curse his luck in chelixian.
After Sarcon moves into the position behind the King, Marcello only grins before letting another attack hit the undead opponnent. Serves him right for hitting him with his sword.
Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32
Damage: 3d6 + 17 ⇒ (2, 5, 2) + 17 = 26
It is a +2 to hit from flanking, right?
WAIT! Doesn't my greatword do another die of damage because it is large?

Grunting from the impact from the longsword, Marcello gives the dead king a look of malice. The look turns to a slightly surprised grin as Sarcon proceeds to... Bite the undead to... What ever the skeleton turned into when it stopped walking.
Looking at the other skeletons on his side, he decided to give them a good cut with his blade.
Moving over he swung his blade in a wide arc, trying to hit as many as possible.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
And proceeding to hitting not even the first skeleton and instead cut into the stone throne behind the first skeleton. (Upper left one).

DM-Kal |

The four dead rulers close in around the dangerous fighters, attacking with mindless ferocity.
Vs Marcello

Vs Sarcon
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21, Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Slam: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12, Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Crystal Shalhoume |

Seeing Sarcon take a light hit, and Marcello completely evading injury, Crystal holds her few remaining spells for now, sidestepping and firing upon the undead lord directly in front of her, thus ending her spell of invisibility.
Bow: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 = 10

Swinging his greatsword at the skeleton after evading their feeble attempts to attack, Marcello decides to cut them down as viciously as he would have with their king...
No reason not to take them seriously.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29
Damage : 3d6 + 17 ⇒ (4, 4, 5) + 17 = 30
Well... this is awkward... it won't let me post as Marcello so... I'll just fix that...

Forgot to add the other attack, in case I am allowed to cleave...
Following the swing through, Marcello dragged the cleaving the strike through to hit the other skeleton ruler.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Damage: 3d6 + 17 ⇒ (3, 6, 6) + 17 = 32
Crit Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13
Crit Damage: 3d6 + 17 ⇒ (3, 2, 5) + 17 = 27
This is only if the skeletons can be seen as adjacent, so if not, just diregard this.

Grunting slightly uncharacteristic, Marcello checked his greatsword for any chinks that might have appeared from the encounter with the stone throne.
Satisfied that it is not in a broken condition, he gave a look around. "You guys think there might be more?" He said as a wave of energy flew out of his body. The spell Victor had casted earlier must have gone off... He shrugged to himself, *such is magic*, he reflected.
Giving a look on the corpses, he rummage through the bones to see for valuables.
Just t10 on Perception.

Victor Ravenport |

The familiar, at least among these circles, sound of someone clapping himself on the shoulder resounds in the hollow throne room. Victor, shining with pride and a slight hint of joy, taking a seat in the throne directly to the right of the supreme-ruler throne.
He judges the silver crown, the crown he pried off the skull of the former occupant. For a moment he merely caress the gemstones embedded into it, then lifts it and places it, prying back his hood and places it onto his brow.
"And now we see who gets supreme rulership.

![]() |

Looking up from his rummaging, Marcello simply shrugs at Victor's statement.
"I have no wish to be ruler. That is the job for someone not willing to go into battle... So I will be fine with being responsible for something like the militia or guard..."
His voice trails off into a mumble as he rummages a bit more in it before it comes back into audible voice again. "Or maybe if I start the wing of Hellknights when I get the recognition from the order to do so..."
He got up from looting and had the longsword in his hands. Throwing a lazy look around to see if any had a problem with his statement of opening an order of Hellknights in the City.
