Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Vi shakes her head as it seems like a likely story to hear at the moment. She then reaches across the table a firm slap hitting his face. And that is for your comment earlier

to slap: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
non-leathle damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

you are flat-footed Ian since technically you were not expecting that

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

... Sound strike, target, her pants.
Damage: 1d4 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Looks like you be needing a change of clothes, hot head. Or should I call you red a*s?

Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Anger boiling in her she flips him the double bird before pointing the gun at him, she clicks the hammer back but does not fire instead putting it back in the holster turning to her room that she rented for the night to change and sulk to keep herself from blowing the felines brains out of his skull. She instead whacks a villager as she walks by with the butt of her gun.

to hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
damgae: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Alright, we insulted each other, you hit me, and I destroyed your pants. Call it even? Hell, if you want to get one good cut in, we'll be even. Sound good? Ian puts his furry hand out for a shake.

Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Vi returns Fine even, I will take that offer for a good cut, might get what little anger I have left. She pulls out her Scizore just slashing at his hand as it is not vital to his performance. And I did not get my ass tattooed it is only face, arm, tail and thighs.

damgae: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

The bystander never knew what hit him as he went from conversing with his friends to sleeping in his salad. Other commoners swarm the man to keep him from drowning in his dressing.

All at once, a man passes by and drops a note off at the table. He has a hood over his face and he moves by so quickly you didn't get a good look at him. The wax seal on the letter has a very familiar look: a bird with an arrow in its mouth.

Note:

Dear friends,

You're doing pretty good for a bunch of mercenaries. None of the other mercs I hired did this good, but I have another job for you.

An official from the nearby District is visiting Shear Point within a few days. He's been targeted by a radical terrorist group and want him dead. You're gonna stop that.

Be as discreet as possible. The less you show off the better you'll get payed. If he gets killed you'll have failed me. Pray you don't.

Speak with the bartender after you're done. He'll have your payment for your previous mission as well as this one.

Sincerely,
Raven of Blackmoor

PS, If you find the leader of these terrorists and kill him, you'll get payed more. Just saying.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Ian holds his hand up, allowing you to see the cut heal in mere seconds, closing before your eyes. Sorry, I'll be sure to watch your ass closely for any signs of change, just to ensure accuracy Ian accents this by childishly sticking his tongue out at you. He ducks whatever Myali throws at him and take the note to the bar. He waves the envelope at the bartender and says A mutual friend says you have something for us?

The bartender looks up from the mug he was cleaning, raises an eyebrow, then goes back to cleaning, almost as if you weren't there.

"Read it closer. It says 'after,' not 'before.'"

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Gotcha Ian goes back to sit at the table.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 8

Myali watches Ian do all of this while she tried to digest the fact that the man she loves smells like a cheap woman of the night. When we are ready to depart town please come get me. Ill be on he outskirts with my wagon and horses. Myali slams a small wooden box on the table in front of Ian and leaves the inn. She is fighting back tears.

Inside the box lays a pair of platinum rings set with onyx and diamonds. The one band is thicker with an inlay of onyx and a diamond shaped like the symbol for Norgorber. The other one is thinner with a heart shaped diamond flanked by onyx. Inside with the rings is a beautifully hand written note.
The note is written in elven and reads:
My Dearest Ian,
I know of no other way of expressing my love for you than by taking the ultimate sacrifice for you. When we wear these rings together I will always be able to shield you from harm.
With all of my love,
Myali

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Ian takes the box, and places on the thicker ring. He leaves, sitting outside the caravan without saying a word, just calls a cello, leaning on the wagon, and plays something sad and mournful, to try to get Myali to come out.

Perform(string): 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (18) + 23 = 41

Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Vi blinks in slight shock, Well that was unexpected...I think I might go console the girl...since her heart seems to be broken. She stands up heading to the door of the tavern, upon hearing what she knows to be Ians music however she backs down instead heading back to the table.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 8

Myali sits inside and listens to Ian play while she cries. Ian I can hear you out there an I'm still not letting you in. I hope you've got a good reason as to why you smell and look like you do. I love you, damn it. I'm in love with you so much that I'm willing to die protecting you. Myali finished before breaking down and sobbing again.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Ian begins to sings as well, a song about a man who had to do difficult things to pay for what his loved ones deserve.
Perform(sing): 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (9) + 18 = 27
Perform(string): 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (10) + 23 = 33

Female Half-Elf Cleric 8

The caravan door opens and Myali stands there in a simple emerald green dress. Her face is tear stained and she's holding a silk hankerchief. Ian please stop with the sarenading and come talk to me. Please, Ian. She sits on the top step and waits for Ian

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Ian sits on the ground near the steps. He looks up and says Sex has always been meaningless for me. Something to offer, something to trade. Coinage. I have a gift planned, and to fund it, more than I have is required. I, for lack of sweeter terms, f!%#ed my way into owning a bordello, the funds from which I am using to make something for you. And me. I asked nito to front some money with me to insure profit, decent workers, decent housing, a nice building. Ian points to the mark on his forehead. This is the ackward residue of a magical spell which energizes me with the ambient magics of the First World. Nothing to be ashamed of. But I realize now that the other things I have done are to be ashamed of. You do not view sex the way I do, and I forgot that. I spent the longest time being unaccountable, alone with the sickness of my mind that you have rid me of, and only recently are the thoughts and feelings of others, namely you, factoring into my life, my thoughts. This is why I did what I did: I used what I had to be able to make us a place to go, to escape when this is all over.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (8) + 23 = 31

Female Half-Elf Cleric 8

OH, Ian. Why didn't you just as me to help you? Why? I know you only meant to give us a place to live and I still feel guilty about you loosing Null but at that moment all I cared about was having you by my side. Myali walks down and sits next to Ian. She mumbles something in tongue and in front of them food and drink appear.

Elf Hungry Ghost Monk 8

Dobbs comes to the rest of the group whistling. He is cherishing the feel of whistling for as long as he can, not knowing if the curse will end or not. He is now wearing blue monk robes, and is revealing his face. His black hair is glossy, and his eyes continue to glow a slight green color. As he walks in to see people being shot, sarenading, slapping, and other words that begin with S, Dobbs decides to leave and grab a bite to eat elsewhere.

Yeah, not having a part in that. I'm going to save for Monk Robes. I need another 4000 for that. Can't have Gaias make it for me yet.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Ian does the same, and a violin appears in the air, playing a not so much happy as uplifting tune. Think makar's awakening.

Ever had another sentience living jnside your head? It kindof spoils you for communication with others when the only person you talk to already knows what you're thinking before you say it. Ian nibbles meekly at a biscuit.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36

Female Half-Elf Cleric 8

Myali reaches up and touches Ian's arm. No I haven't and why don't you put that way. As much as I love to listen to you play Id rather sit here and listen to the world with you.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

The music hitches and turn sad. My dear, I would put the music away, but it's a comfort to me. Music has always been like a child's blanket to me, soothing, warm. Did I ever tell you that I attended a bards college before I discovered Null, and before Sara?

Female Half-Elf Cleric 8

No you did not. With all of the craziness that has been going on its been a little hard to sit down and enjoy each others company. Why don't we go inside and continue this chat. I've grown cold sitting out here. Myali stands up after cleaning up the food and beverage.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

That would be nice. Ian pauses for a moment, sighs, and dismisses the floating violin before entering the wagon and lying on the bedding, sprawling out and stretching like a cat.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 8

Myali shoos Ian over so that she may curls up next to him. Tell me about you Ian. The before Null part, the child good part. I know growing up a half breed was not easy.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

For a little it was. My mother died in child-birth, so my elven father took me in. His clan accepted me, and even liked me, but he blamed me for the loss of my mother, and made sure that I knew I was the cause for her loss. He was often violent. Eventually, the elders took me from him. Under one of them, I discovered a taste for music, so they shipped me off to the college of bards. Those days at the college were my happiest, at least, until I met Sara. Ian's furry ears droop as he mention her, and he stops speaking.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 8

Myali sits and listens to Ian. She does not interrupt him until he stops.

Skipping ahead to keep things going.

You still have a few days before this official arrives.

What you do is up to you, we already have buy lists, now what do you do to prepare?

Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Vi spends the night in her room peacefully, The next day if she sees the man she bonked with will give him a small grin. She decided to gather information from some people in the bar to learn about the man they are to protect.

diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

The man she hit nods with a smile, then one of the people sitting next to his whispers something to him and he quickly goes back to eating breakfast.

No one really has anything to say until she pulls out her revolver, at which point she learns that the official will be arriving in about a week from today. No one can recall his name for you though.

Elf Hungry Ghost Monk 8

"I do find it quite interesting that in order for you to get information you have to hold your gun." Dobbs comments on Vi when she tells the group what she found out.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Ian says Perhaps a more...endearing approach. Ian goes around the town, asking and gathering information, being sure to check with his girls/guys at his new Bordello, the Violet Room.

Diplomacy (Gather Info): 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (17) + 23 = 40

That's a great name for a bordello.

Being much, much more successful than Vi, Ian is able to find out that the visitor is Baron Rufio Snowrush, 14th Baron of the District of Northrun, the furthest settlement north in the Golden Rule.

Snowrush is on business to speak with the Council of Shear Point that the annual Red Rose Tournament continue as scheduled, as the Council wanted to have the Tournament be postponed due to the death of Deep Thought. The Tournament is still accepting applicants, just so you know.

As for who may want Snowrush dead, no one is quite sure. The name Talon seems to stand out, but no one is sure who or what Talon is.

Snowrush will be arriving in Shear Point by convoy, along with decoys to confuse any would-be assassins. He will travel down the main road where a parade in his honor will be held.

Ian also learns that because he bought the Violet Room, he'd have to buy a license for sexual solicitation or he'd be fined 1000 Round. Each nation has it's own currency, but it all revolves around gold. You'd have to have your money changed over from nation to nation, but that's easy to do. As of now, all your money is in Rounds. Some towns don't accept another nation's currency, so it's a good idea to change over just in case.

Currency Equivalent:
Pathfinder
1 Gold
10 Silver
100 Copper

Golden Rule
1 Round
10 Half-Rounds
100 Quart-Rounds

Grey Kingdom
1 Tile
10 Reeds
100 Chips

The easiest place to get a license is the Administration of Commerce, located in the middle of the city. It'll cost 200 Rounds and a waiting period of 10 days, during which no activities may be conducted on the premise or a penalty of fines, prison time, or both may be issued.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

I inform my girls, and guys of this if they don't already know. I go to the Administration, purchase and order the License, and return to the bar to inform my allies, and to solicit Nito's half of the front money as payment.

While in line at the Administration, Ian needs to make a perception check.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

Ughhhh, godd*mn civil service

Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33

Trust me, you'll want to make this.

The man ahead of you in line is holding a pair of gloves, which you recognize as the gauntlets you pilfered from the Scale Rippers. All magical items must be registered before they can be sold, which is his reason for behing here.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

I say nothing, and wait in line. Huh, guess someone already bought them. Wonder what they do? Ah well, who gives a damn, their not mine anymore.

Ian waits in line for another few minutes, gets to the teller, and receives a notice that the license will be delivered via courier in approximately 2 weeks.

Ian finds himself outside the Administration building in the middle of the city. What to do...

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

I try to grease the wheels on the delivery date:

10 rounds +
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (20) + 23 = 43
Bluff: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (11) + 23 = 34
+ Prestidigitation to make the gold dissappear and reappear in the teller's hands

The teller, an elderly woman, speaks frankly to you after listening to your debate. "I'm sorry sir, but it is against regulation to change the delivery date or means of transportation. I'll can see what I can do to have it pushed forward on the agenda, but I can't guarantee anything."

After you get your notice, you find yourself out in the middle of the city.

Male P'Tan [Self-appointed party mule][AC: 23 | TAC: 14 | FFAC: 19 | HP 46/66 | Regen: 2 | Init: +11 | Performances: 25/30 | Fort:+4 | Ref:+10 | Will:+6 ]

I thank the woman and head back to the bar, to share what I learned, and to solicit Nito's half of the business expense

Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Interesting...interesting Indeed, I might go talk to the town guard, see if perhaps they can aid us as well. She heads off attempting to use her girlish charm to get the guards to agree without bringing out her revolver.

diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Of the two guards you speak to, only one of them actually takes what you're saying seriously.

"I'll let the Captain know. He should do something by the time the official arrives."

Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Thank you very much kind sir After the conversation she goes and informs the party that the city guard is also aware of the situation and can aid if something should happen.

Elf Hungry Ghost Monk 8

The first thing that Dobbs does after obtaining his skin is go to the local monastery. As he enters the building, he see what he can find out amoung his fellow monks what all is happening that requires a balanced opinion. He also tries to avoid any sparring, because his particular fighting style of rearranging life forces is generally seen as evil, and Dobbs wishes to keep himself in good light amoung his peers.

Among his peers, Dobbs finds out exactly the same things that Ian learns. As for an issue of balance, it ways as follows:

The Red Rose Tournament is a contest held every ten years in Shear Point. Citizens from all over the Golden Rule and the Grey Kingdom come to watch the events from archery to jousting, dueling to wrestling. Recently special events have been added for the use of Black Powder.

The reason the Tournament is so big is it promotes peace between the kingdoms and prosperity between the peoples of Anduur. Everyone's mind would be at ease, as the event has been looked forward to for years.

With the death of Deep Thought on everyone's mind, the Tournament was going to be delayed until the killer was caught.

Baron Snowrush plans to keep the Tournament going, as the people need something to calm themselves.

As for Talon, no one in the monastery knows about what the name means.

With the tavern in flames...again...you find the barkeeper from before who leads you to another tavern to convene and to split the loot from the mission as well as the rewards.

You find on the Talon Bounty Hunter:

1 Wand of cure light wounds (CL 1, 50 charges)
Wand of speak with animals (CL 1, 50 charges)
tanglefoot bags (2)
+1 chain shirt
+1 buckler
+1 merciful composite longbow (+2 Str) with 30 arrows
masterwork rapier
masterwork sap
belt of incredible dexterity +2
cloak of elvenkind
blue whinnis (6 doses)
purple worm poison (1 dose)
Exotic Saddle (Large Tiger, Broken)
11 gp

On his cohorts and the dead decoy you find at total of:

2 +1 Chained Whips
2 Smoke Sticks
2 Thieves' tools
2 Disquise Kits
1 Dagger
1 Broach (200)

And as for the reward for both killing the Talon Bounty Hunter and killing the Scale Ripppers:

6,000 Rounds to split and a note.

Note:
Dear companions,

Good work with both the Scale Rippers and the threat on Baron Rufio Snowrush's life. I will say though, that was a little bit less quiet than I expected.

In return, I have a trade for you. I have in my service a man of great power and ability. His name is Constantine, and he has a little shop set up in town. Pay him a visit and you'll be properly rewarded. Mention my name and he'll know what to do.

Again, thank you for your assistance.

Signed,
The Raven of Blackmoor

PS. See you at the Tournament.

The barkeep gives you food and beverage on the house as well as housing for the night.

Level up your character, get your stuff updated, then we'll continue.

Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Vi gathers the 1000 Rounds that are hers before standing up, I will be off for some personal business.

She goes first to a curiour shop with a note in her hand, Can you send this She give him the information.

note:
Mother, I am glad to finally write to you, I am safe and sound but please be warned, I am doing errands for a man...a very evil man. If a group of soldires is seen heading your way that seem hostile...run and do not look back for I have failed and he looks to kill you.

Many love, Vi

She then goes to the shop that the Raven meantioned in the note, Afternoon sir, I am Vi, a man named the Raven sent me here, said you had a little something something for me?

The courier takes the note, determines the distance, then takes the payment of 10 Rounds and heads out.

When you enter the shop, you see books, books, more books, a single chair, and more books. Behind what could possibly be a count is an elderly elven man with large glasses and a simple robe. As he lifts his head to see who entered the room, he hits his head on a hanging lamp.

"OW!!...oh, that smarts..." He adjusts his glasses, looks over at you, then smiles. "Ah yes, you must be uh....um....wait wait, let me guess...Vi! That's it! Yes, I do have something for you, but I must ask you for your weapon."

Female Gevet Gun Slinger 9 5/5 Girt

Vi blinks for a second as she pulls out her revolver and the rounds from her belt reluctantly handing her most prized weapon over, she trust the Raven however when it comes to this. Why do you need it?
