Chronicles of the Silver Rose Company

Game Master Patrick Curtin

This campaign is my attempt to play a canonical Planescape campaign using the updated Pathfinder ruleset. The game actually predates the release of Pathfinder, but we have managed to update as we have needed.

And I see that they retired the Treefort thread, due to awesome participation! ;P

Do we have a new treefort thread yet?

Now if only we had an archer.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

DMCal is doing something in that vein now Rags, it seems to be doing well. I just felt the need to close up the OTD. I didn’t feel like I had agency over the thread.

I know, right?!? ;P

Oh, ok. Just wondered. :)

By the way, I am getting buried by the usual 'waited too long to shop' and shenanigans (although I did have a nice shopping/lunch date with my wife, courtesy of my boss giving me a bonefish grill gift card) :)

So, apologies in advance if I vanish briefly. I'll try not too though! :)

Happy Holidays in advance!

Archer?

Blayze Female Aasimar Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 2/ Paladin (Holy Gun/Divine Hunter) 8

We've got a whole bunch of magic arrows, and our ranged people have guns.

And spells! ;P

Justin hastily (re)invents the auto-crossbow!
Standard arrow sized for your impaling convenience!
:)

Actually,... THAT sounds kind of insanely-fun.
Something that Justin might actually try.

Oooo!
'Gatling-Gun-Arrow-Launcher'!!!
:D

Does Nari not use a bow?

Well she's no longer an elf so she lost her race ability to use the long bow.

Happy holidays everyone.

Well, my suggestion is to take those ensorcelled arrows to one of the gunsmiths in the Gear Run District and they’ll melt the arrowheads into bullets for you.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

And Haapy holidays to one and all!

I like the sound of that!

Currently having Morrowind flashbacks-- one of the only characters in the whole game not to have a name was an unnamed imperial archer at one of the forts. If you asked him who he was, he would say (via text box), "I am Imperial Archer, Archer."

Brilliant!

Great minds think alike! :)
(Glad it will actually, you know, WORK though. Unlike SOME of Justin's ideas,...) :)

AND, since it IS 11:30pm where this elder Wizzie sits,...

All packages wrapped and under the tree, Just Santa gifts to set up in front of the fireplace.
SO,

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOO,... ZZZZzzzzzz,...

;)

AND thanks for yet another year of allowing me to play with you in this wonderful game, my online friends!

Going to go play Santa to my two teenagers now, one who is 19 yrs old (girl) and still loves it, and one 15 yrs old (boy) who is too 'cool' to ADMIT that he likes it, but obviously enjoys it all the same. :)

THEN I'm going to bed! Cuz THIS Santa aint gettin' any younger! ;P

Merry Christmas, and God bless! :D

Successful Xmas. Young child spoiled, puppies spoiled, happy times all around

Indeed. Ditto here. My (large) children spoiled, too much food eaten, and we have a day to recover and play with our presents, then we go to visit my family in Oklahoma. And do it all over again! :)

(My diet is SO blown,...) ;P

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah I’m avoiding the scale. Went full bacchanalia this year...

Oh, and public service announcement: if you value your sanity never travel I-95.

So does Karrin! over 10 years now and she still hasn't used it once.

I feel this is a fairly common tale for fighter-types. I don't think Eddin ever ended up using his bow either.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah, unless you’re in a combat-heavy scenario you likely won’t need it. I try not to assault you with flying monsters* who you can’t melee

*Not saying I would never do that, but ....

Shadow's Status

Do we know how much Loot we got in value?

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I think I’m going to have to figure that out.

Shadow's Status

Or you could just throw out a number ;-)

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

You know what? At this point that’s not a bad idea. Would everyone be happy if you each got $20K gold to spend? And all the stuff goes ? I’m just not in the mood to math it up

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

Sounds good to me

I am good :-)

Fine with me

Blayze Female Aasimar Gunslinger (Mysterious Stranger) 2/ Paladin (Holy Gun/Divine Hunter) 8

Works for me

I'll be looking to pick up a Seraphic pistol

Between the 20k and what I already have I should be able to swing it. Debating whether to sell my existing +1 distance double-barreled pistol, or take TWF next chance I get.

Sorry for my prolonged absence...

Something majorly screwy has gone on with my home internet, and I now no longer have access to Paizo's website at home... :/
I have no idea what's going on with it, I need to do more investigating.

Christmas rush is over, I'm back to being alone at work, so I can actually post again.

Hello All!

I have returned from the depths of the netherworld!
AKA- Oklahoma, where my family and a few friends still live. :)

(To be fair, I usually refer to Lousy-anna, where I reside, as the Underworld,... soo,.....) ;P

Lets see, in a nutshell, visited a lot, played a couple of interesting games, (my 'lil' Bro has the most eclectic collection of games.) Saw a friend who is still fighting stomach cancer for 2 years now, (His new house is SO close to being finished, and he has the coolest Dragon figures for lamps, etc), saw the new Spider man (cartoon) movie, (it was good) and ate WAY. TOO. MUCH. (Even if I did manage to almost stay completely Keto) ;P

THEN I just completed a 9+ hour drive in the friggin rain. (Most of it fairly nasty) So yes, I have a headache. ;P

Car is unloaded, we have had dinner, I think I shall self-medicate wioth a nice Rum and Cola, and GO . TO. BED. ;)

In short, sorry for the absence, but I'm back now! :)

Oh yeah, and a belated HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!
:)

Ok, Im good with that Pat, Thanks! :)

Time for the wizard to get to scribin' scrolls and craftin'! :)

Justin does have the craft magical doo-dads feat, which includes clothes, so he can help anyone who wants to enchant those nifty new cloaks! :)
(Presuming that Pat is OK with that of course?) :)

Um,... is anyone else having trouble accessing their Paizo account recently?

I mean, I keep my PC's signed in, so getting to the threads is no trouble, BUT when I try to access my actual account, like orders and such, I cant seem to get past the login screen?

Just curious,... O_o

No but I only post in PbP these days.

Shadow your proposal seems fine

Folks, I apologize for my absence. I’ve been dealing with a lot of issues with the shutdown/ furlough and just haven’t been in a very gaming mood. I am going to spend some time updating tomorrow (that includes finishing those new characters for your vampire games Shadow) and utilizing my forced unemployment a bit better

If there is anything you would like to do I’ll write out a bunch of scenarios, then we can do Rhiannon’s funeral

Shadow's Status

No worries Pat, understood its a tough position to be in.

Great. Thank you on both accounts :-)

Prayers and well-wishes for you and your situation Pat. As Shadow said, that's tough no matter how you slice it. :P

You know the drill, When YOUR ready, we'll be here! :)

And thank you, as always, for letting us play in your world. :)

Something in Paizo's website coding has a tendency to trigger weird issues with different ISP's

No offence to my American friends but your government is f%#ked up. I hope they get things sorted so you can get back to normal Patrick.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Well, governments in general are f%+$ed up. They all have their quirks. You Canadians are going through a nice period, but I seem to remember quite a bit of angst during the Harper years. These things go through cycles

well not to get into politics, I do agree that governments go in cycles and we Canadians have had bad governments and civil unrest in the past, but shutting down the government, telling all government workers (except the essential workers) that they don't have a job until things get resolved, that's something that seems pretty unique to the US system. Every time there's an argument in Washington the civil service across the country get turned into hostages in the weird sort of hostage negotiation scenario. I don't want to put you in a place where you have to defend your government though Pat, I was just trying to express how frustrating that situation sounds, and my hopes that it gets resolved soon.

Pat already defended the Country for several years I am sure he's tired of continuing to do that job! :-)

I agree it’s not a great scenario, but I am dealing with it. I’m sorry if sound defensive, but it’s a leap to say ‘your government is f*%~ed up’ because of a political donnybrook. I’m sure you wouldn’t appreciate if I indicated Canada ‘s government was f&%&ed up because every generation a huge province tries to secede and become its own nation.

Anyway, this is trending towards politics, and my mood has appreciably soured, so I will have to excuse myself for the evening and start fresh tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll get those updates up then.

Ironically both times Quebec tried to succeed it was a Prime Minister from Quebec in power. The only reason I say your government is f&%ked up is because they're putting the lives of their employees on hold or at risk every couple of years now. It'd be nice if they could keep the lights on and pay people while they're going through these political fights. I don't even understand why they're even going through this one. As I understand it Trump just doesn't have the support for his border wall anywhere but maybe I'm missing something.

There's a lot of great things about America, don't get me wrong, but politics seem to have been pretty broken for a while now. It seems incredibly divisive from up here, and we had a Provence that tried to leave Canada twice now. All I'm hoping for is for things to settle down and return to normal. I very much doubt there are many people that welcome a government shutdown and I feel this should be a more extreme thing, something that happens once or twice in a lifetime rather than something that seems to happen every few years.
