Guy I hope all went well with Earl. It was a dud here, didn't even knock the tomatos off my plants.
As an aside, I will begin my re-employment phase Monday, InShah Allah, and I am not sure how this will affect my posting. I will keep y'all posted as to any shifts in the schedules.
Ragadolf |
PAt- Gratz on the re-employment!
Sorry, been busy, had to paint my stage, clean my house (THAT was not fun!) drain, clean, reset up the pool,... all for a party for the now-11 yr old.
Tomorrow, I BBQ! :)
So If I'm slow on the responses,... sorry, but,... BBQ! :D
Glad Earl seems to be a miss for you Pat!
ANd yeah, that was fun, although I wonder if Justin should have done as well as I did. I had some funny posting problems. (Apparently they worked in my favor!)
Anyway, that could EASILY have gone south VERY quickly! What if none.,or only 1 had made a will save? VERY different story!
In other words, I think your doing just fine PAt! Just because it was (relatively) easy THIS time doesn't mean another run-through would be!
Will level up by/on Monday. Justin will be happy to take teh Figurine. Will try to not be greedy next treasure trove! ;P Lvl up,... COOL!
See ya all, and happy Labor day! (WHich means we get a day off, and did I mention BBQ?!?)
:D

Pat would you be willing to overlook the 1st level requirement of this feat? I figure he fulfills the planetouched aspect pretty well.
Dreadful Wrath
[Regional]
You are terrible to behold in battle, and few foes have the heart to face you without quailing.
Prerequisite: Human ( Rashemen), k uo-toa (Underdark [ Sloopdilmonpolop]), or planetouched (Impiltur, the Silver Marches, Thay, or Western Heartlands)
Benefit: When you charge, make a full attack, or cast a spell that either targets an enemy or includes an enemy in its area, you gain the frightful presence ability for that round. Each enemy within a 20-foot radius of you must succeed on a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 your character level + your Cha modifi er) or be shaken for 1 minute. Regardless of its success or failure on the saving throw, any creature exposed to this effect is immune to your frightful presence for the next 24 hours. This is an extraordinary morale effect.
Special: You may select this feat only as a 1st-level character. You may have only one regional feat.

Hmmm. Well, that's a corker. Where did you dig up that bit o'splat? =P
I would say conditionally yes, just because I am a big believer in 'give the people what they want', but I would perhaps modify the length. 1 minute is 10 combat rounds. Maybe 1d4 rds? I'm gonna have to think on it, because that feat is a real gamechanger.

He hasn't prepared it yet, since we haven't rested since leveling up, but Isaac's ranger spell is Lead Blades from the APG. I'm assuming it's okay, but I just want to double check with you. I thought it fit his theme pretty well, being a Godsman and a blacksmith and would let him pack a little more punch in melee.

Not a problemo. You guys are getting hard to design encounters for, but I relish a challenge =P
Besides, I was cruising Green Ronin's Book of Fiends and there is some sweet CR15-20 stuff in there ... >=)

Heh, not until I can take that feat that makes even fire-resistant/ immune creature take dmg from my fire spells! hehehe,... :D
FINALLY lvl'd up Justin (and Elgan, but that's another thread, no relation) I just need to add his 2 new spells into his spellbook, and add his new spells to his mem of the day list!
Anything interesting in the APG for a firey caster? Or part-time summoner?
(Looking for new spells/ ideas)

Heh. Brings back memories of my old 1E days. We used to use a critical hit and fumble tables that we wrote ourselves. I believe 00 (100) was "Decapitated, instant death"
Try figuring out how THAT happens when your holding a staff! ;P
I'm a bit ambivalent about using them, I haven't looked at these new decks. I'll go with the majority on it though. It might be fun! (If I hate them later, I can always change my mind, right? Right?!?) ;)
Davi The Eccentric |
Sure, why not? I mean, I already nearly broke one of my daggers an adventure or two ago from a few bad rolls, why not spread the minor penalties around.
"Decapitated, instant death"
Well, as long as it doesn't have this sort of stuff on it. Minor penalties from critical misses? Fine. Disembowling yourself with your own sword by accident? That's just a bad parody of Hackmaster.

Hm,... Isn't that statement is a bit redundant? ;P (heheh)
Actually my favorite memory involved my PC, using a lightsabre, (don't ask, I'm still not sure how that happened as it was WAY before Star Wars D20) and I kept rolling 'take dmg, roll again' on the fumble chart! The DM ruled that I tripped, and rolled over my own lightsabre several times! I think I took out half my own HP that time! :(
Patrick Curtin |
OK, so so far:
1. Abstain
3. For it
2 Will go for whatever the majority wants
So no real 'no ways' yet, so I am thinking NEXT battle we can institute them. Unless anyone has a major issue.
Oh, and I have read through the fumble/crit decks and the penalties have no 'instadeaths' or the like. They do call out areas of damage and the like, but I usually try to do that anyway...
Patrick Curtin |
Sounds good to me. I always did like trying new things in the game!
Like I said, If I hate it I can always change my vote later! ;)
(And seriously, how many things have i ever 'hated' in any game I've ever played? ) ;)
Well, I run a participative game. If you are not happy, I want that to change. Unhappy players = bad game IMO
Patrick Curtin |
Heh, well ease your mind young-Jedi-Game-Master,
I am about the farthest thing you'll ever see from an unhappy player at the moment!Edit- Just went back and re-read that, did it make any sense to you? It did when I wrote it, now I'm not sure,... Blah, Mondays,... :P
Nope made perfect sense, and I'm happy you are happy =)
Patrick Curtin |
Hey; Pat; do you like them fumbcrit decks? Thinking about looking for them one of these days...
I've only gotten to use them a few times. I find they are fairly mellow, nothing like the old 1e ones that really could ruin someone's day, LOL. I like having a real interesting effect for a crit/fumble.
Ragadolf |
James Keegan wrote:Wow, you guys are monsters.I know right? Poor khaasta never knew what hit them. What's next Rags? Napalmball? =P
Don't. Tease. Me.
(Where are those rules for making your own spells?!?)
:D
Anyone else read Nodwick? My favorite is the one where Artax (crazy old wizard FYI) took all of his old wands with only 1 or 2 charges left, and wizard-glued them together in a big bundle, then gave them all the same command word. The command word? ABRACAPOCALYPSE! ;)
It didn't kill the demon, but it DID take it a while to climb out of the hole he made,... ;D
Patrick Curtin |
LOL, yeah I remember that one. It looked like he was toting about a wizard's version of a minigun, LMAO
For those who never saw it: Thanks Internet!

Okay I'll just explain Merle's plan here. Long story short it is a variation of the clawboy plan. Merle plans to use the scroll of Alter self and Tongues to disguise herself as one of the Khassta (using some of the captured Khassta's uniform if needed) She will then pretend to be one of the survivors from earlier Khassta assault and pretend to be using Pounce (if she agrees)as a human shield as protection till she gets to the door and they hopefully let her in. Once the dooris open Isaac and Ekuur both Invisable rush in and secure the door.

Sounds like a plan. Which building, the tower or three story structure?

Brash, spur-of-the-moment, reckless, dangerous, outside the box,...I LIKE it! :D

Sounds like a plan. Just keep in mind I'd be invisible, but Ekuur is anything but silent ...

Guys, I better take an official hiatus from this game for now. No reason, just need a bit of a break. Just have Swire show these berks their proper place until I get back and everything will be fine and dandy.
No worries Davi, we all have our times when we need a break. Hope to see you back soon.
