I have many an Excel Spreadsheet and/or Word Doc full of lists about absolutely nothing!
Yeah I have an Excel of Sigilian places/NPCs I yoinked off Planewalker.com, plus a sweet large-scale map that blows the included one away. I need to get my excel out and spend some down time with this thread.
Hey, if you want to write up a short description for each I can be persuaded to draw some pencil head shots, maybe a full body thing for the important NPCs. I don't know much about layout, but we could look into making a pdf or something.
That. would. be. so. SWEET! (fanboi squee) OK, now I gotta get cracking on that info list.

Lady Bethany's Background is up.
I should have the rest of the Stats & Equipment in before I go to bed tonight (or at worst tomorrow morning).
Pat:
After Statting up the rest of the Races for Conchord I made a few minor adjustments to the .pdf I sent you. I'll sent you the revised version along with the .pdf containing the stats for all of the races of Conchord.
The actual World Background will follow, but it might not make it until the end of the week. I have most of it plotted out in my head, but have only committed a small amount to words. Typing out the Races consumed most of my night last night (3am bedtime anyone) and I have to put the finishing touches on them either tonight or tomorrow night so I can get them to you.
Man I am loving this World I am creating! Your call for Characters sparked my creative juices again and I have created Conchord in it's entirety since then!

Hey Pat,
TRYing to update the character. But way busy at work this weekend. I'll get it soon. I have a few ideas for NPC's as well.
Maybe laying out the NPC's will give me an idea of what I want to do until we get rolling,... Or maybe the erstwhile 'problem solver' can try to help out someone,... ;P But as he's supposed to have spent his last coins, there's not he can do shopping wise. (Once I finalize what he had bought while he had money!)

Spoiler:
I didn't get your email. Did it go thru?
Heh, heh.
That should have said:
"I'll send you the revised version along with the .pdf containing the stats for all of the races of Conchord."
not I'll sent you... stupid typo (t and d are two letters apart and on different lines as well!)
I just have the Ssintex to finish and some tidying up to do.
Man I can't wait to show you!!!

No worries. I am having a time getting everyone corralled together, as Issac is fighting in the Lower Ward, Karrin and Naridre are heading to the Bleaker's Gatehouse, Merle and Swift are dining at the Fortune's Wheel, and Lady Bethany has just touched down. If you want to jump in and visit some old friends, feel free! If you want to sit back, that's fine as well.

OK, STILL have to finalize shopping though I think I have the basics figured out. (3,000 is very easy for a 4th lvl guy to spend!)
HAve updated the character sheet, and added NPc's They are very lovingly ripped off,... er,... INFLUENCED by a certain set of books, so feel free to use them, or not, or modify as you see fit! Thx

I think Pat said we should start with 3000, that's what I did.

I am flexible, I just want everone to feel like they got the same shake. Let's go with the 6K. It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other, if you have more junk, it's more stuff to steal ...errr ...liberate from you!
err ...nothing to see here ..move along ...
;)
Pat:
Bethany created some of her own Magical Items. I hope this is alright (please let me know if it isn't and I'll fix it).
I didn't include any Artisan's Tools for two reasons:
1) I thought about it and decided that she would have used the workshop available to her at the Auralis Harmonium
2) I ran out of money ;)
I am sending you something now via e-mail. Enjoy and there are more to come later. =D
I think you will get a kick out of one race in particular (one of the two I created from scratch for the Setting).

First,
THANK YOU for the GP! :)
Second, just a thought, but it is my understanding that the "GP per character lvl" list is for General comparison.
In other words, if you started at 1st lvl, between the gold you 'liberate', get paid, etc, and the Value of any magic items you 'liberate' from previous owners, should be 'about' 6,000GP at 4th lvl. This does not mean that you should still HAVE all 6,000 GP when you become 4th lvl. You may have used your potions or scrolls, or burnt up your wand, or your masterwork sword may have been nibbled on by a rust monster.
This is just my impression based on chatter on these boards, and talking to my friends. Another generally accepted impression is that you SHOULD have the GP value in items listed available to you at each lvl (give or take, depends on the DM obviously) But not all will be permanent magic items. Somewhere there is a list (DMG, 3.0 or 3.5 maybe?) of what magic items you can easily give NPC's of a certain lvl to 'keep it balanced'. It ended up being a little less powerful than if you actually spent the GP value yourself, but it was a quick reference. I remember at 4th lvl (for example) you could reasonably be expected to have masterwork armor, a masterwork or +1 sword, a couple of potions/scrolls, Or a wand of a 1st lvl spell instead of a weapon if a caster.
I'm not trying to talk myself out of the extra GP! just pointing out that maybe some of your treasure found may be added to the 3,000 and may end up being pretty close? Or not, math is probably my weakest link,...
Otherwise, like I said, I'm good either way !
Thx PAt!

However we are jumping forward in time. Perhaps the Silver Rose completed a couple of mundane easy jobs in that time.
Kruelaid and me both have magical weapons so arguably we don't really need more money, however some of the other PCs aren't as lucky with accumulating wealth.

No problem. If you want, I can write in something to preserve the versimilitude. I am a big believer in immersive continutiy as well. Perhaps if you have an item that you wanted Merle to have I could find a way to storytell it into your hands...

Fair enough I'll have a look see if anything catches my eye. It is 3000 gold right?

Patrick Curtin wrote:They all started off with 2,700 GP,Haha, I had problems spending all of that 2,700. Swift is just happy with 'pretty things' I have real problems picking specifics beyond that after the basic equipment is bought.
Well, I will extend the offer I gave to Kevin to you as well, Kayos. If you want me to write in something, I can easily enough. Your roll on the gambling D100 just now made old Nye quite a bit of loot, perhaps he will gift you with something ...

Swift will happily take anything cool and shiny if it's offered to her (and often even if it isn't), hence her keeping hold of "Heartseeker". Looking at her equipment there is an awful lot of masterworking there, perhaps the easiest thing would be replacing some of it with something magical..
..or of course those lovely boots of elvenkind all feline types love the look of (because y'know Swift needs more sneaking ability)

Speaking of shinys, you might want to retreive your box from the storage place ...

Was planning on it, I didn't forget the box! :)
Was just wanting to get back into the swing of things and wanting to go through with fallout from things and get back into the swing of writing Swift before mentioning it.

Thx,
"Plenty going on" indeed!
Your brain must be much better organized than mine, cuz' I'm not sure that I could keep track of <counts fingers> is it 4 different character activities now?!?
Good work everybody! Enjoying the reading immensely!
LUnchtime, time to go shopping for some goodies for Justin!
Oh, when you get the chance Pat, I've added some NPC's, tell me if you think they're a bit much. I was just having fun and got carried away.

No worries, I am enjoying writing this game, it allows me to explore one of my all-time favorite settings. Plus, it has the added effect of tightening up my writing skills, something I'd like to do in anticipation of writng some stories. And as for NPCs too many is never enough...
I am now trolling through the whole game thread compliling all the places and people I have mentioned (groan) I am a wordy bastard sometimes ..
