Chronicles of the Silver Rose Company

Game Master Patrick Curtin

This campaign is my attempt to play a canonical Planescape campaign using the updated Pathfinder ruleset. The game actually predates the release of Pathfinder, but we have managed to update as we have needed.

If anyone can roleplay up a dramafest between two female felines (oooo catfight!) it will be you Kayos. Besides, there is a side adventure I am cooking up that will involve you, Skrint and Merle. It should be fun.

Female Tibbit Rogue 3

*Hiss!* There will be no dramafest because I'm just better than other female felines *nods*

Female catfolk sorceror 11

Merle done here is her gear

1 wand of cure light wounds 1lb, 1 wand of obscuring mist 1lb, 1 wand of mage armour 1lb, masterwork dagger 1lb, Backpack 2lb, belt pouch 0.5lb, silk rope 5lb, bedroll 5lb, Waterskin 4lb, 2 trail rations 2lb

Gold 73
silver 9

total weight 22.5lb

Ive also had a look at the intro and it looks good so as soon as you give me the go ahead I can start posting.

Oh its on now

Kevin/Merle ...you got the go ahead. Feel free to jump in. I spoilered your intro, but you don't have to use spoilers in the thread if we are apart from others. I usually only spoiler foreign languages, we are all mature players here and I've never had a metagaming problem.

Muahahahah!

May I suggest we get everyone together and hear one of Renkar's speeches?

Reel everyone in a bit and get us onto the next step of our salt mission.

Bribes always welcome

Yeah, we have been scattered all over the city ... and now it is time to complete this story arc.

Folks, simple reminder that my posting will be a bit spotty today and tomorrow due to my schedule. I have 10 mins on this morning, but don't despair, I am cooking up a few more things to do after the great salt mine caper.

I would like to get a feeling on how people are thinking about this game. Is the pace too slow? Do people want more action? Are you enjoying the social aspects of it? Let me know and if I get up early enough I will post tomorrow morning, otherwise figure me in for Weds afternoon.

Everything is to my liking thus far. Absolutely no complaints.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Sorry guys, having kid sickness issues here. Will update ASAP.

Family come first- We'll be here when they're better.

And in regards to how the games going, I'm having a good time with Greep. I'm having a great time with the story. We keep splitting up and the individual stories are so good I almost hate to get back together. You're doing fine.

Bribes always welcome

Ok folks, wont be posting a lot until Weds aft. Today is a busy day and Mon/Tues the normal. I will get on maybe in morning. Till then keep on interacting with the various NPCs

<===sick

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Sick as well. Taking weekend off from posting be back Mon.

And if it's not sick, then it's overworked.

I love how Karrin has been calling people clueless burts almost from day one and no one has ever corrected her.

lol.

I can't get a handle on the cant anyway, so Eir doesn't speak it.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

If you ever want to take a gander at the Cant, there is a great dictionary online here

Oh I've seen those. I'm busy enough adding Chinese words to my vocabulary.

=(

Guy, if you could take a moment, I would like you to post up (in a spoiler) what kind of backstory you have in your mind with Karrin. I have devised a fun little scenario in my head about her origins, and I would like to get your input. I can't go into it, as it would spoil the story arc surprise, but I don't want to tread on your toes.

Incidentally the hole was left for a DM to fill as needed.

Sorry folks- I've been discovering a new allergy. (to a blood pressure medicine) Please npc me as necessary. The medication should clear my system soon and I'll be able to catch up. Thanks.

Does anyone know Niel in real life? We haven't heard from him since this post and I'm a little worried.

That kind of stuff can lay you down for a while.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

In my other game his Real Life friend Cro has said he is still recovering, but isn't up to posting just yet.

That's cool, thanks for the update Pat

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

OK. I think everyone has had their fun, and I got to introduce a few plot hook NPCs for later. I'd like to move along and take care of the gobbo salt mine, and move on. Seeing as this will take us probably into late December, we should try and get a move on. I am going to be a bit spotty in postage. My wife was just laid off, and we are going into house renovation mode. Keeping up with posting shouldn't be an issue since I seem to be waking up earlier and earlier these days.

Kill monsters, get experience, level up.

Repeat.

Hehe.

j/k

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah ... this game became more of:

Wander Sigil

Let DM write about the weirdness

Rinse

Repeat

:P

Not that there's anything bad about that. Entertaining to read. But it means more work for the DM. You should try to get us writing again! Some of the best games I've ever DMed were the games where I just sat back and watched the players have at it. It's great watching stories write themselves :D

Yeah, but everyone has a lot of other projects. Plus, my payoff is that this kind of descriptive writing is sharpening my rusty skills as I try to make an endrun on a story I want to write. My writing and editing muscles are a bit flabby, so I enjoy the mental exercise.

Word.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Just a heads up on the twist in game. You shouldn't have to confront the beast if you want to just slink off. It's not manditory to fight, unless you want to.

Bribes always welcome

Hey guys. It seems like Niel is still sick. I was wondering if any of y'all would like to take over NPCing Greep while we wait for him to get better. He is important for spall support, and I stink at running spellcasters.

Bribes always welcome

Bump to bring thread up.

Sovereign Court

I wonder if Neil is still playing? Has he been online?

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I know he was sidelined by a bad allergic reaction to some blood pressure medicine. I've been keeping the two characters he has with me ingame, but I think I am going to have to put them in limbo soon if he doesn't come back. It's a shame really, I enjoyed his play style.

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

maybe you should start recruiting again, this game is awesome and I doubt you'll have any problems filling vacancies.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

I have been giving it some thought. It's too bad this game has kinda been firing on three cylinders for a bit with both Swift and Greep silent. I'll have to make a descision soon. Unfortunately it will involve pounding the game with the Deus ex machina plothammer, which I'm not a big fan of.

Sovereign Court

Male hu-man Paladin

I'm thinking that once we finish this mission Renkar can simply find work for our two missing players, perhaps something that only a tibbit and a robbit can handle. New players can be added then.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Good call. I was expecting to havre a little "hand waive" time at the end of the mission anyway. Kinda like, "You all take a month to train and get to know one another and shop for items." kind of thing ..Oh and give y'all a level. :)

Multiple missing players... this is the biggest challenge for a PBP I guess. I had three guys disappear. One came back before I got rid of his player. The second I possessed by a demon. The third marched off with the band of NPCs that my party had rescued to protect them from the demon.

The demon possession was cool because now the demon is stalking my players, has followed them into a city, and they never know when they'er getting it in the back from some schmoe on the street. Also, one of the players released the demon in the first place (ahh if only he'd known I watched the Prince of Darkness and The Exorcist in the week preceding the 'chamber') so it didn't even seem like I forced the story.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

Yeah three is rough. I guess come Feb I will put out the call for some more heroes.

DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE

gonna put out the call for more players in Appalachee Jihad. I figure the new folk can be in Grenfield

Same thing as Jihad, but with a different look.

I'm trying to find something that people can use easily without having illustrator, photoshop, or my fonts. I have a jpeg posted on the "about kruelaid" page, too. They're transparent in the middle so just add them to the top layer.

Hey Patrick,

I'm running GIMP on my office computer here and they made some serious improvements since I last checked it out. (umm, a long time ago).

I suspect it might kick Photoshop Elements in the ass.

Inkscape is looking a lot better, too, for vector drawings.
