Sure, you can join. Now we don't even have to go looking for people. A Sorceror is fine, but the group probably needs a healer. Post a character here when you get around to making one.

I am a cleric unless you are saying one cleric is not enough. :)

GM, what about the Gods in this world ? Are they the same as the Golarion Gods ? Do they have equivalents. If equivalent, who's Pharasma in this world ?

The Gods of this world are the same ones as in regular Pathfinder (Calistria, Pharasma, Andoletta, ect.).

Actually, I've been playing on these forums for about a month, and that's all the pathfinder I've done. I owned the pdf rulebooks since they first came out as a hobbyist, but I haven't actually played until now. I'm GMing a couple games here, too. What about you?

eh, this is my first pbp game (and it probably shows). I have been playing and dmíng in real life, although lately not at all.

By the way, we seem to be down to four, and my personal preference is for a party of five. Connor, what do you think ?

I like 4-5 people, so we're right in where I want it. Too big a group is too much of a hassle, but you can't even play with too small of one.

Is readying an attack visible "in game" to an npc ? (e.g. do you literally assume a combat stance, draw an arrow etc. ?)

That is up to the GM. There are not rules for it.

Unless you make a slight of hand or a stealth check to hide it, i'd say it is visible.

Before we get into actual combat I have a rules question. By RAW a buckler can be use and still allow someone to cast spells.

According to James Jacobs it is a free action to switch a weapon to your shield hand so you can cast if you are using a light shield.

I know many GM's ignore shields, or at least light ones so cleric can cast.

I would like your ruling on the matter so that I might either go with a buckler or go without a shield at all.

I think i'll let it be a swift action if you're switching a weapon from one hand to the other, and a free action if you where holding it in two hands.

Does this world have different countries than Golarion. What country are we in now, and what is its alignment ?

Yes it does. I have not thought of a country name, and I didn't think they, as a whole, had alignments.

I have to apologize to everyone. What was intended to be a week's hiatus has developed into more than that, and my priorities have developed quite a bit as well. I won't be able to participate in these games for a while yet. A may be back later on, but I don't want to promise what I don't know. For now, I'll say that I am on leave for an unknown amount of time. Thank you all for playing with me. I've enjoyed your company very much.

This re-opens the debate about recruitment, especially when we're about to take on a caravan.

I say we recruit someone. I am willing to stall the game a little if needed.

I've got a guy or two who might be interested. I'll private message them.

I would be against stalling the campaign. Can two npc's help us take on the caravan if the new guys don't join fast enough ?
