The five armed people focused on Nigrum at his demands. Something in those awful eyes flickered for a moment, but only for a moment. The five of them announced, in one voice that crackled with flames, "It. Is. Too. COLD!"

At Mihara's comments, one turned to her. With an obvious act of will the woman pulled herself away from whatever was controlling them. "It...is in our souls. It...BURNS...them. Please...save us!" Then her gaze clouded over once again. "They. Are. Ours."

Moving in a disturbing way as a group, the five moved forwards, weapons raised.

Azri focused, and magical energy swirled around her fist before she hurled a spell through the air. She wasn't quite convinced that she wanted to kill these people - even if she didn't have a very good understanding of death to begin with - and so she'd chosen an alternate route. Hopefully, though, this would be enough to drop at least one or two of them down for long enough to save them...

Nigrum jumps atop the bench before him, making his towering form seem akin to a giant with the added height. Only his massive blade seems less strange with the change in perception.

"Whining of the cold. Then get out and go to hell. Denying me even the right to face a skilled swordsman intact. Disgraceful!"

He brings his blade down on the enemy before him. Were they not in such a state or fellow swordsman, he would not have used the back of his blade. But there was no honor in felling a puppet, who could only play at the shadow of a true practitioner of the art.

Apologies, my sleep pattern is a mess right now. I keep sleeping when I should be GMing.

Temple Guard Stats:
Guards - AC 18, Touch 15, Flat Footed 13.

Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

The Temple Guard within range of the Sleep spell totter for a moment before surging forwards. Nigrum's heavy blow catches one on the shoulder, causing the man to stagger.but not fall.

The first Temple Guard moves up to Azri, lashing out with the curved scimitar.

Temple Guard 1 To Hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Temple Guard 1 Crit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Temple Guard 1 Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 = 12 total

The infamously curved blades of the Dervishes sliced it's way past Azri's defences, puncturing her side with a cruel blow.

At the same time, two more approached Nigrum.

Working in tandem they managed to land an equally sickening blow to the Slayer, the lightning fast scimitars leaving trails in the evening's light.

The fourth temple guard stayed back, instead pulling out a long flute from there robes and began to play a fast paced tempo. The other guards instantly changed there movement, there flowing movements becoming an intricate dance under the effects of the Bard's song.

The final member, the woman, chanted for a moment in Celestial beforoe a sharp burst of magic roared into life.

Ow. Also, I think her DR would kick in there, dropping the damage to 10. Also, ow. XD

Azri hissed in pain as she took a five-foot step backwards in an attempt to get away from the warrior. She was resistant to damage, not immune to it, and her body had clearly been quite damaged by that attack.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 Pfft. XD

"Beware - that spell's going to make their bard even more effective!" Azri called out - before raising one hand and hurling a ball of webbing through the air and towards their supporter. Losing this body would be inconvenient, but no worse for her than that - allowing that bard to continue playing could be a much bigger threat to everyone else. Be nice if one of the martial types could step in front of her and ward off any advances, though...

Her hands disappear into her sleeves and she dashes to the front, spreading her arms wide and unleashing a heavy dusting of glittering powder on the temple guards.

Glitterdust. The 10 ft radius is definitely large enough to hit T2, T3, and both T5s (?). I don't see T1. Will save DC 13 negates. The affected templars will be blinded for 3 rounds.

"Oh, come on: a lady as pretty as you shouldn't hide in the back!" Selena shouts to the female priest as she closes in, circling around the battlefield. After a strike with the Dan Bong to open her guard, Selena tries to grab the cleric.

Nigrum takes the strike in stride, was not the first nor would it be the last time he would after all. The pain was just part of the work and reward of both being a swordsman and bounty hunter. He presses the attack on the same target, it had nearly crumbled before. He would be interested to see if it took a second blow from him, even if it was a back bladed one.

Shrouded in shadow, Aibek was quietly and slowly skirting around the the group of enslaved Dervishes of Sarenrae in the dimmer parts of the room, watching their movements with concern. The witchwolf felt a knot rising from the stomach as there was little the witchwolf could see to do in this moment to help at all, let alone save them, and the damage these could do meant they couldn't be left alone. Knocking them out seemed the most merciful choice to Aibek...and still an inadequately slow option even while still the best one. Aibek launched clawed hand first towards the nearest one T5?, hoping to knock them out as quickly as possible. Aibek could feel that it was not enough and stepping back searched for a better option...

The Temple Guard struck by Nigrum collapsed in a heap as the flat of the blade cracked him in the skull.

Despite attempting to dodge away, Selena is just able to grab the spellcaster and lock her into position.

However, she is unable to do so.

The first Temple Guard moved to try and free his ally, lashing out wit his Scimitar against Selena, using his Moment of Greatness to aid him.

Temple Guard 1 attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Temple Guard 1 damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Thanks to her skills the blow does not land, however.

The third Temple Guard ignored his comrade's defeat and used his own Moment of Greatness to lash out at Nigrum.

Temple Guard 3 damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

However the blow was blocked by Nigrum's armour, failing to do any damage.

The Bard weeved out of the way of Aibek's assault, playing a hideous note on his flute. To all but Nigrum the note was a simple mistake - Nigrum, however, took the full force of the spell.

Ear Piercing Scream: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7Sonic Damage, a DC 16 to half damage and avoid being Dazed for one turn.

Azri focused power into her eyes, then stared at the second guard (T2) and simply willed him to suffer before cackling at him. There was a tinge of honest amusement to this, though - here she was, an undead lich using a type of powerful curse to cause a guardian of a temple to Sarenrae to weaken... and she was the good one. How often did that happen?

"Oh, you're so impatient, honey!" Selena giggles as she dodges the dervish's slash. "Ok, let's do it like this: I'll be done with your lady friend here in a second and come play with you, ok?". Grinning mischievously, Selena retrieves a portion of bloodvine rope from her bag, binding the priest. With a fluid motion, she stands up again, leaning towards the Dervish "Here I am! If you can catch me, I'm all yours." she taunts the enemy, ready to dodge the attack and restrain his movements.

Last round of Intimidate. Ayreth, the spell won't count as cast until you actually cast it, so don't worry about it being lost for a cool character moment.

Temple Guard 1 Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

As the third guard crumbled to the floor and the first staggers under the Hex, the remaining concious guards suddenly develope a far off look for a moment before dropping any remaining weapons. Those not already grappled, bound or knocked out drop to there knees in surrender.

However, the same look remains on there faces, and there eyes still flicker with an eerie inner light.

He does not put away his sword or drop his guard.

"Oh is that it? Changed your tune did you? Want to talk now?"

Seemed even spirits or whatever they were knew better, still it left a bad taste in his mouth. No resolve, such a disgrace to the bodies they had taken.

"There is a forth choice. I beat each and everyone one of your puppets to a pulp. I won't kill them but they will be so broken that nothing sort of a few dozen healing spells or weeks of natural healing each will see them back in fighting shape. Your tools will be locked away or your resources drained by restoring them. For you can not heal without end, my sword on the other hand can cut without end."

He locked eyes with the thing hiding behind the oracles own.

"You can bluff, boast, or threaten all you want. It will do nothing. Ponder and scheme, that too will do nothing. I will come for you. Fight yourself or send more puppets, only the time of your defeat is in question. Ether way I think once we reactivate the cooling system, you may just find things less to your liking from there if not already."

He had not slipped, he wanted the thing to know why they had been in that room, or at least confirm it to the creature. Let the bait dangle, force a reaction. After all the thing hated the cold, or it's interpretation of it.

As Nigrum scans the courtyard, he notices Selena frowning slightly at one particular spot. Concentrating his attentions there, he realizes there are scuff marks on the light coating of sand in the South East corner. An area no one was in when the fight began...and they seem to lead to the East door, when it appears the Temple Guard followed up behind you.

He quickly moves to the east door and shuts it.

"Block the exits! Does anyone have any way to detect hidden enemies?"

His tracking skills could be of help but he wanted to make sure the enemy was gone before trying his hand at it.
