Olbod
Olbod hurries after Armand and Sybille, gritting his teeth as he sees the Woman in bad shape. Rushing upstairs he makes no attempt to be stealthy. "Armand! Sybille! The tattoo'd man from the bridge. Did you catch him? Did you see him?"
GM JC Spooks
The Huntsman jumps in shock when Olbod comes barging in and scrambles for his rifle but stops when he realizes that the hunter is not, in fact, some horrible beast looking to devour him.
The rest of the hunters make space and Olbod leads them up the stairs. He motions for them to stop once they reach the open door. It's dark on the other side, making it impossible to see anything beyond shifting shadows. You strain your other senses and pick up on the sounds of sickening crunches and panting from within.
Armand the Elder
Armand darts in the wake of Sybille's shot, dashing through the stinking black powder cloud of the weapon's discharge.
He keeps his pistol raised to unload it into any attacking beast.
Olbod
Olbod pushes to the head of the pack, Axe clutched firmly in both hands. "Let's finish the hunt for the night my friends, we've slain many beasts and transgresors!" Side by side with Sybille, he raises his axe and exclaims. "THE ONE TO KILL IT DRINKS FOR FREE TONIGHT!"
GM JC Spooks
The three hunters rush into the apartment. It's small, with the door immediately opening into a living room/dining room. In the center there's a well-dressed sprawling on the floor, bleeding from a huge bute wound in his neck and several small gunshot wounds on his lower body. Watching him gurgle and spit up blood you'd guess he's not much longer for this world. There's a large window in this room leading to the outside. Chunks of broken glass lie on the floor and you catch sight of a huge wolf-like shape crawling through the opening just as you enter.
Olbod
Olbod rushes to the window as quick as his legs can carry him, he lunges most of his body out and reaches in the direction he saw the beast crawling in an attempt to grab and pull the beast back into the room.

Armand the Elder
Armand kneels by the man, checking the wound one last time as the victim expires. He shakes his head.
Does the man have any blood vials on him? It might be possible to save him.
GM JC Spooks
Olbod does his best to grab the beast, who he can now see is had fully succumbed to the scourge, but the thing is ferociously powerful and tears away from his grip immediately. It scrambles onto the roofs adjacent to the apartment and turns back to the window and snarls at the hunters. During all this Sybille isn't able to get an opening for her hammer.
The man doesn't have any bloodvials on him but there could be some around the apartment. There's also the medical tubing downstairs, and even the living donor. Certainly enough for an impromptu transfusion.
GM JC Spooks
The beast shrugs off the hammer strike and slowly rises up on its hind legs. At full height it is nearly twice the size of the hunters and it lunges forwards with frightening speed. Its jaws clamp tightly around Sybilles arms and with terrifying strength it starts dragging her towards its claws. Sybille is grappled by the scourge beast

Sybille Rally: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) = 8
The beast reels back, releasing Sybille as the hunters pound away at it. Its hind leg slips off a portion of the roof causing it to stumble momentarily before turning back and lunging at Sybille again. Claws shred her hunter armor and tear gashes in her flesh and she knows that the beast nearly has her...

"No... I wont lose... I WONT LOSE! Raaaagh!" Olbod clenches his fists and teeth as he hunches over. Wire thick strands of hair sprout from all over his body through his clothes, his mouth and nose elongating and fusing together. Eye's filling with blood until all other color is gone, a bewitching glow takes them over as drool drips down both sides of his mouth and he rises to his full height once again.
With a roar that sound's exactly like that of a beast, Olbod shouts at the creature. "BEAST BLOOD!" In an exited gravely voice that rumbles the chest of any near enough to hear it. Raising his axe with newfound strength, the beast that was once Olbod smiles the wicked grin of a hound on the hunt.
Taking on my beast form to gain +2 strength, +2 con, +4 Nat. armor(Rune bonus is here). This leaves me with a net +13 to hit (Since it puts me over 19 strength I lose the -2 penalty on my axe and the beast is my favored enemy) +7 damage, 40hp (+4 to my current), and 28 AC.
Sybille
Sybille growls and sidesteps the beast's attack, transforming her weapon and striking the beast with the massive flaming hammer.
Using Hunter's Grace. I also have DR 2/-, if it helps.
Atk: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 Dmg: 2d6 + 7 + 1d6 + 2d4 ⇒ (6, 1) + 7 + (2) + (3, 2) = 21

It does actually, I thought it was DR 1/-. Anyways, Hunter's Grace gives you plus 4 AC against the first attack which still goes through,
but it also moves you 5 feet which means the second claw and the rake both miss automatically.
Olbod's gruesome transformation excites something within the other beast who loses all interest in Sybille. The scourge beast moves first, pouncing on Olbod in a mass of flailing limbs and gnashing teeth. This provides the perfect opportunity for Sybille to transform her weapon and pound the flaming instrument into the beast's flank.
The scourge beast bowls into Olbod, practically knocking him over. With new found vigor it sinks its teeth into his shoulder and tears away at his chest with its clawed hands. In the midst of all this carnage blood spills across the roof and the beast becomes emboldened by this. Olbod you have been grappled. You won't be able to use your axe next turn unless you can escape (the scourge beast has a CMD of 31)
Sybille you can take an AoO from the scourge beast moving past you

Olbod grapples with the beast, each struggling against the raw strength of each other in a pile of blood-matted fur and claws. Sybille leaps in and pounds away with her hammer causing the beast to reel and giving Olbod the chance to tear into its stomach with his claws. Intestines spill across the roof and the beast seizes and shudders before collapsing forward, lifeless.
Combat Over
With the beast dead an eerie silence falls on Yharnam. Only the faint scent of blood still lingers.
Olbod
Olbod rolls the beast over, crouching over top of it slashing the body with claws and gnashing teeth against flesh. All the while half cackling half roaring. After a moment his bestial features begin to recede and he slowly stops tearing into the creature. He gathers his ax, dusts himself off and clears his throat before speaking. "I'm no beast, Sybille. This is too stay between us. Let us begone, I've had my fill for the night." He gives Sybille a stern, but not unkind glare. It seems as if the fight had released something that had been pent up.
GM JC Spooks
"Christoffenson" he says with a grunt as he lifts the women up. The look on his face says that he wants to ask you questions - who are you, what happened here, that sort of the thing, but decides against it and instead leads you to the church of Oedon in silence.
It is fortunate that the Oedon chapel is open day and night to whoever needs it. The building itself is only three stories tall, nestled away near the commercial quarter. It was the first church built in Yharnam and it has history stretching all the way back to the cities founding. Now it does little more than mark the border between Yharnam and the growing cathedral ward, where dozens of churches and cathedrals many times its size are all being built at a feverish pace.
You are greeted by a lanky chapel keeper. His eyes are clouded over and his back is hunched, as if the weight of living alone would be enough to drive him to his knees. When he sees the bloody woman he rushes to tend to her, ignoring the rest of you.
You know that the chapel houses a workshop outpost in its upper floors so you could report in now, or you could disperse and wait to report back until later.
Olbod
As the pair ride the elevator too the outpost above the church Olbod grasps Sybille's arm. Squeezing it tightly and reminding her with not even a glance in her direction. "Not. A. Word."
GM JC Spooks
In the workshop their is the custodian, the man charged with overseeing and maintaining the facility, and another hunter you don't recognize. Following your report the custodian commends you on you thorough handling of the refugees. Though the appearance of the scourge beast was concerning you dealt with it immediately.
The custodian notes that you've both received a stipend of 3000gp after your mission. You've also gotten enough experience to go up a level
You'll have a week of downtime before the next task from the workshop. Would anyone like to do anything?
