Making the first post is taking more time than I thought. Anyways, I will give you several posibles paths to start unravel the plot. However, I let you know now that no all paths go to CR balanced fair encounters, have in mind the posibility of retreating.

- Are the boots of striding and springint a separated item from the boots of soft step?

- Yiu can benefit from a wand of negate aroma. 50 charges are 50 hours.


@ Gark

- I have no problem with permanet enlarge person. BUt a spell can be dispelled, does the items get to medium size if that happen?

When an article of magic clothing or jewelry is discovered, most of the time size shouldn't be an issue. Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer. Size should not keep characters of various kinds from using magic items.

There may be rare exceptions, especially with race-specific items.

Armor and Weapon Sizes: Armor and weapons that are found at random have a 30% chance of being Small (01–30), a 60% chance of being Medium (31–90), and a 10% chance of being any other size (91–100).

I interpret this to mean that everything except armor and weapons automatically resizes. Those two groups are confusing though. Would you allow Erd to count items in her pack as "in possession," as long as she's keeping them in the same square as her?

Otherwise she can just have independently Large gear, and keep some Medium stuff around in case of dispelling.

Oh and I forget, how did you feel about combined items? Like if I wanted to put some Eyes of the Eagle in my Goggles of Night?


Stats are. +1 to 3 stats every 4 levels and an extra +1 (but this is Ehnhacemet by Lemmys rules I think).

Combined items, Uhm, lets say no for now.

Extra +1 being the normal +1/4 levels, or something different?

And I think Erd is ready now. Let me know if she will be able to take off her armor without it reverting to normal size, and I'll adjust her gold. Also if you guys have any more suggestions for magic items I can see what I can fit in . . .

Wait... What? Now I'm confused.

According to Rynjin's rule, we get the normal +2 to one attribute and another +1s to two other attributes. These are untyped bonus. Total: +2/+1/+1. This is what I assumed you meant.

According to my rules, characters get the nromal +1 to one attribute, and other four +1 enhancement bonuses to whatever four attributes they want, essentially getting a +2 and three +1.

Total: +2/+1/+1/+1 or +1/+1/+1+1/+1.


+2 to one and one to two others.

How do you feel about items in other slots than usual? For example, Bracers of Natural Armor +1 or Girdle of Striding and Springing.


It depends on case by case I guess. I suppose you really want that bonus to acrobatic so take the girdle of striding and springing.

Applied stat changes haven't changed the rest of the stat block yet.

Should be about right (+6 Str, +1 Dex, +2 Int, +2 Wis total +2/+1/+1 x 3).

Those were examples, I'm trying to fit the Boots of the Soft Step and Boots of the Cat into Ring, Cloak, or Gloves slot.

Sure, a special ability works. I did a bit of research and also came up with this and this. Something with a flat price that just automatically sizes to fit the wearer's size is all I'd really need, though. Maybe like 2-3k for each item?


3K per item would be Ok. But they only resize if you are already enlarged. deal?

I forgot to mention. BUt the clerics of Ogmah provided the effect of mind blank for Auron and Sun. It will last like 20 more hours.

Well... The guy here never even heard of anything related to what we're looking for, and the other libraries are either expensive or nearly impossible to access.

BEsides, consulting hte library would give you a rerroll to kn cecks with a +10.

There is book about dragons (and books written by dragons). There are also books about constructs, but not the magic part of constructs.

I will need a list of the languages Garren speaks(do note that there are a lot of setting specific oones ) And Erds relevant numbers in its avatar. ANd Sun special defenses and other stuffs that are missing in his avatar (like blindsese, miss chance and the like).

Well Garren was originally in an icewind dale campaign that evolved into a lot of portal hopping.

Ive played around silverymoon fairly often and played some of Baldurs Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights 2 and the Neverwinter Mmo. Ive also read the Drizzt books taking place in Icewind Dale and Mithril Hall.

I also played an artificer in a crazy evil game in Calimshan

I've read a bunch of the 3.5 Dragon magazines with articles about it, and some of the novels. Haven't played a single game in it though and I couldn't say I retained much of what I read.
