Kamal of Zenj
Flame wreathing his hands, from the inborn power of nature, Kamal launches another bolt of flame towards the unnatural creatures in the hopes of felling one.

Aerys stands opposite Torch, the wight sandwiched between them, She distracts the creature as she flourishes her sword. Aiming to strike the head from its shoulders.
Longsword power attack 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 2 + 2 = 11 flanking
Longsword power damage 1d8 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 4 = 8
Aerys D Mavato
Shocked that she missed the evil undead creature, Aerys redoubles her efforts to try and smash the creature to bits once more. She watches the damage done, trying to see if she is really hurting and injuring the thing the way she thinks she should, for the strength she is using to hurt it.
Longsword power attack 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 - 2 + 2 = 15 flanking
Longsword power damage 1d8 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 4 = 8
Maestro Gelikugel Aberwhinge
Well, this is more like it. More loot, less undead horrors, that's what this place needs.
Gelik slings the satchel over his shoulder. I'll start a loot count in the discussion section.
He turns to Torch, looking up at the much taller man. I don't just hand out my powerful magics like so many jellybeans! Timing is everything, you see. Allow me to choose when your vanishing will have the most impact, like when we know there are more soul-sucking monsters around.
Gelik moves into position behind Torch, ready to cast should the need arise. Although I probably should have come up with a plan that didn't involve staring at your stinky arse the whole time.
Black Tom
A short bit further along the wider passage small island rises out of the shallow water in the center of the drift. Part of a large, translucent blue orb protrudes from the surrounding earth, pulsing with a pale blue glow. The globe is cracked in several places and shards of the strange, glass-like substance lie scattered across the islet’s surface. A sizable hole is smashed into one side, revealing a hollow interior.
Maestro Gelikugel Aberwhinge
So, I'm getting a bad vibe from the pulsing blue globe. I think we should either try to fix it, or finish breaking it.
He watches it pulse for a bit, then decides, Break it, for sure. Since I don't think we have any way to fix it, I say we break it. Whose got a hammer?
Aerys D Mavato
"Blue's not my favorite color underground, unless its an opening to the sky, and this definitely isn't. You stay here Gelik, we'll wait for Ralf to finish his communing, you know how he knows lots of 'interesting' stuff." Aerys looks down on Gelik sternly but with warmth. However she does seem edgy in the presence of some unknown power, as her hands fidget between her bow and sword.
Ralf Pennywhistle
"Well, here's your problem!" Ralf points at the globe. "I remember hearing a story once about a thingamajig made out of negative energy called the Blue Warrior that was shut up in a big egg like this. I bet this is it! Looks like something cracked it and now all kinds o' undead energy is leaking out. Anyone got some glue or a hammer or something to fix it up? Or maybe we can put the kibosh on the Blue Warrior instead, or even talk him into moving away." He scratches his chin thoughtfully.
Aerys D Mavato
"I could write an epic poem about us defeating the Blue Warrior and his giant orb. I doubt it would be as good if we just fixed it." mused Aerys. "And what good ever came from negative energy, if it can make the dead rise. I say we destroy it, unless Ralf has a better idea?"
Maestro Gelikugel Aberwhinge
Gelik folds his arms defensively. When I said 'we', I didn't mean 'me'. I'm really not equipped to break things. Not my style. I can stand guard while someone else does the breaking.
Whoever moves forward to break the globe, Gelik will stay behind them, within 20-30', ready to blast any negative energy boogeymen that spring up. If anyone wants to be vanished, he can do that, too.
Black Tom
Map updated.
As Torch tries to smash the blue globe, two figures emerge, one man armed with a miner's pick and one unarmed woman, both blue-skinned and desiccated just like the wights you've fought until now.
Torch is up, then the wights.
Sam "Torch" McQuarry
Guessing the man with the pick to be the Blue Warrior, Torch decides to focus all his attention on him.
5 ft step to L23, then swift action for ranger's focus on the guy with the pick and two-weapon full attack.
Scimitar with ranger's focus: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16, damage 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 plus 1d6 ⇒ 4 sneak attack.
Cestus with ranger's focus: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18, damage 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 plus 1d6 ⇒ 1 sneak attack.
Ouch. Here's hoping his flat-footed AC ain't that great.
Black Tom
Torch manages to catch the Blue Warrior off-guard and both his blows connect, sending the undead menace reeling. But then he retaliates, moving out to let his wife (or whatever she is, but they to work well together) at him. The Blue Warrior hits hard and almost finds a deadly chink in Torch's armor, and his wife packs a punch too. He rolled a nat 20 but failed to confirm. Torch is hit for 14 points of damage, a negative level and a Fort 15 save.
Then you are all up.
Maestro Gelikugel Aberwhinge
These things look like they need to be set on fire.
Gelik casts a spell, attempting to do just that.
Spontaneous Immolation on the injured one 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3) = 9
Spontaneous Immolation (100 ft. + 10 ft./level, one creature, Fortitude half and Reflex) You point your finger at a creature, causing it to spontaneously burst into flame. The target takes 3d6 points of fire damage and catches on fire. A successful Fortitude save reduces this damage by half and prevents the target from catching on fire. Each round on your turn, a burning target can attempt a new save to extinguish the flames (DC equal to the DC of the spell); otherwise it takes another 1d6 fire damage.
Sam "Torch" McQuarry
Fort save, including the neg level penalty: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Incidentally, Torch is down to 13 hit points.
Torch is hammered by the unearthly claws and weapons of the two wights - one even draining the very essence of his being with its deadly potency. He falls back, bleeding and pale, feeling something settle into his flesh and bones with the chill of death.
Lacking any better options at this point, Torch is going to full attack again. No sneak this time.
Scimitar attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17, damage 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Cestus attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16, damage 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Sam "Torch" McQuarry
Fort save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11. Ending alignment shield to reroll the save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Bloody hells. If Aerys would step to J25 please? Assuming she does...
Torch feels more weakness tear through him at the wight-woman's touch, but maintains his focus on the Blue Warrior, hoping to end the thing's unlife before he is dragged down to the same state.
Scimitar attack, with negative level, flank and ranger's focus: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12, damage 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 plus 1d6 ⇒ 2 sneak.
Cestus attack, with negative level, flank and ranger's focus: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17, damage 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 plus 1d6 ⇒ 1 sneak.
...
Just for the record, that is 9 rolls in a row that have not broken 10 on the die.
Maestro Gelikugel Aberwhinge
I feel for you. That's why I usually play spellcasters. You don't want to depend on me rolling to hit.
Gelik casts with a flourish, pointing again at the recently extinguished wight. Unless it's down, in which case he'll hit the other one.
[ooc]Firing off my last spontaneous immolation. 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3) = 5 If that doesn't do it, we're in big trouble.
Right. More crap rolls.
Aerys D Mavato
Aerys steps round to aid Torch in his fight, and strikes at the Blue Warrior, if he still lives.
Longsword power attack 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 7 - 2 + 2 = 10 flanking
Longsword power damage 1d8 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 4 = 12
She's bought her rubber sword again....
Black Tom
The blue warrior still clings to unlife and turns around to face his new foe, striking her for 5 points of damage and inflicting a negative level. His wife hits Torch for 3 points and another Fort save or take 3 Con damage. Kamal delays.
Then you are up again.
I feel for you, but it would help if Kamal would post too.
