Black Tom's Dragon's Delve
Game Master
Black Tom
Our heroes delve the mysterious dungeon known as Dragon's Delve.
Kaduk approaches the scroll, reading it without touching. He wonders at the stories of trapped scrolls that explode when read.
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
Kaduk can't read the runes on the scroll. It seems it's some kind of magic. At least it's not the exploding kind.
Female Elf Clerc 2
Valynie will look a little surprised at Kaduk
Sorry , I tend to overestimate your attributes.
She will then cast read magic and look at the scroll
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
It's an arcane scroll of Summon Monster II. It's a little tattered and yellowed, but it looks still useable.
Don't rely too much on me really, I'm just a thug who really knows how to swing his big sword and pulling out when things get dicey.
Makedonia moves closer to the pedestals, gesturing towards them after reading the inscriptions. "Does anyone have an idea what this means?"
Female Elf Clerc 2
Valynie sidles close to Kaduk almost purring
A big sword, really ? And you know when to go in and go out ! My My ! Any chance for a private lesson ?
She totally ignores Makedonia words ...
Mainly because she has no idea there . And, Kaduk you asked for this one
Ah, anytime my lady, but it'd best if the situation's calmer and more private than this. You see, I'd prefer to demonstrate and with too many spectators it tends to end early. But better to focus to the task at hand eh?
Kaduk senses a prickling sensation down his spine, wary of any new arcane magicks abound with the arrival of Makedonia.

Kwin waits nervously in the hall, wondering how long it has been, sure it has been a lot longer than it actually has been.
Female Elf Clerc 2
Ok ; let's get out of here and check the other door
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
The other door leads back to the corridor on the other side of the room with the statues.
I updated the map under Campaign info.
There is a door to your left that seems to lead to a room adjacent to the lion den.
If that doesn't appeal to you there is a door and a passage that remain unexplored in the lower righthand corner of the map.
Female Elf Clerc 2
your first suggestion sounds good to me
Turning to Kaduk
I believe we are near the lioness . Can you go check if we could bypass her by going this way . And take care , if you are going to succomb to a male-eater female , let it be me
Makedonia overhears the conversation, and adds her own thought: "Is that so? You 'eat' males? I've heard a lot, but this *is* quite pretentious, isn't it?"
Hah! I would be very careful then, I've never been ravished by an elf before. Lets continue to the Northern passage from the room with the statues.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
One hero point to Valynie, whose blatant innuendos cracks me up.
Kaduk thinks the door looks safe enough, so he decides to take a peek. Beyond it is a large and roughly triangular room.
Dim light fills this odd-shaped chamber. In the middle of it, floating over a dark pit, you see a gray-brown creature of unique and bizarre appearance. Spherical, it sports a massive central eye, with a number of eyes on long stalks on top, and long tendrils dangling from beneath it. The whole being stretches approximately five feet across. It glares at you as you peer in.
After that initial shock you realizes that the beast is contained in a massive glass cylinder, 20 feet across that girds the perimeter of the pit.
There are two doors visible, apart from the passage leading into the lion's den, one immediately to your right and one on the other side of the room.
Knowledge(Dungeoneering):1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Describing what he has seen to his comrades behind, Kaduk pushes the door slowly open and gingerly steps in, hoping the cylinder is a barrier of sorts. Holding his falchion ready, he moves towards the door on the right.
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
You've never ever seen anything like that before, and you are glad about that. The door is locked and cold to the touch and strangely you can hear winds blowing beyond it.
Female Elf Clerc 2
I make my move on Kaduk and there is a 'voyeur'
Kaduk continues to keep his eye on the eye monster while picking the door's lock open. He doesn't open the door yet once its unlocked.
Disable device: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 2 = 16
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
The eye monster looks at you with what could optimistically be described as interest while you struggle with the lock. You fail to get it open, though, and what's more, the door seems to relock itself unless you open it.
Drat!
Kaduk backtracks and creeps skirting the walls to the other side of the room with the door.
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
The door across the room is the door to the long gallery northeast of the lion's den.
Male Dwarf Fighter 1
"I've got a bigger lock pick if you want me to give it a try",Yurggen intones hefting his weapon.
Oh well. Let's just open this annoying door. Yurggen, get ready.
Kaduk opens the door with the blowing wind beyond, after picking it open.
He tries and tries again until he succeeds.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
After a few false starts Kaduk finally gets the door open.
As a reward a blast of cold air greets him, as, impossible as it seems, a blizzard engulfs this chamber. You can’t see at all through the storm, the howling wind is deafening, and you suspect that entering the room will be a frigid experience.
The monster in the glass tube looks like it is laughing at you.
Female Elf Clerc 2
Valynie yells Close the door , it's cold !
Makedonia stays outside of the blizzard room, and keeps an eye on the strange creature in the glass tube.
What? You don't like the cold?
Kaduk closes the door. Eying the one eye monster, Kaduk adds.
Where else should we go? How about the are east of the map?
room east of the lion's den?

East sounds good. Without some sort of special protection, I think we may not be able to handle the environment in there. I'll start considering if perhaps there's a spell I can develop or purchase that would help with it.
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
Updated the map for you. Basically what remains are the lion's den and the door and corridor in the lower right corner of the map.
Makedonia offers to clear the lion's den before proceeding.
Let's check if the lions have not relocated yet. There are passages still not explored there.
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
As a matter of fact they haven't so let's roll for initiative. I'll get a map up.

Updated battle map with an improvised marching order. Selina may or may not have left the party.
Kaduk and Kwin go first, then the lioness.

Before he even realizes what he's doing Kwin finds himself out in front of everyone else, fingers fumbling in his pouch for grains of sand and unintelligible words tumbling from his lips.
Kwin moves to J32 and casts Color Spray at the lioness, praying his companions follow, and praying there aren't other lions in pouncing range.

Last minute business trip out of town. Feel free to DMPC me if needed. SHould be able to post, but sporadically.
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
Kwin unleashes a swirl of colors at the lioness, who is momentarily dazzled but then only enraged. One of the cubs is knocked out.
Kaduk and Makedonia to go, then you're in trouble.
Kaduk moves in to engage the lioness, hoping to put it out of commission.

Makedonia stays back and mumbles a few strange words, thudding her staff on the floor and then points it at the lioness.
Slumber Hex on the Lioness.
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
Kaduk takes a large chunk out of the lioness, and then Makedonia works her magic. The lioness blinks and folds neatly, soon fast asleep. The cubs are trying to wake her up though, so you may have to act fast.
You are up, with the lioness awake but prone.

Yurggen moves to J31, and attempts to pound the snot out of the Lioness.

Female Elf Clerc 2
Valynie stands waiting sad to see the fight she did not want to happen is.
Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat
The lioness falls to Kaduk's sword. At least you get 160 xp each for the battle.
The cubs aren't old enough to pose any danger to you. What will you do with them?
My suggestion is to let Selina leave with them to try to find someone capable of raising them.
There is only one unexplored exit, a strange triangular room with a door at the other side.
Female Elf Clerc 2
We'll let Selina depart with the cubs and go explore the triangular room
