If I am keeping track of things correctly, it looks like I am still waiting on a "ready" from Bobby, Spaz, Klokk, and Voss?

I am going to put up the first bit in the game play forum, and it will just be some RP introductions. So, for those joining late, it won't make a very big difference.

Hope you all have fun, and don't feel bad if you have suggestions or comments to make the game more enjoyable. I have an open door policy and open to constructive criticism.

As you post in the game play forum, try to have a connection to the Wandering Walk, which can be found on the campaigns info page.

It could be that the forum ate their "Ready" as it did with the first time I posted my "Ready".. I think the forum experienced some heavy traffic lately which lead to some problems with posting.

I'm taking the easy way out, following my mentor... Looking for money.
I'm also adopting the moniker 'the Lady' to differentiate a bit from Larsis.

Ayphish, might I recommend a post in the recruitment thread that you've started the campaign, some like me may just watch that thread and not think to check the discussion or gameplay threads ;)

As I am serving as a body guard, I will wait until after the person I am supposed to be protecting arrives to post as ive been busy the past couple of days perfecting the flute I am making.

It's one of the tricky things about the Paizo pbps. Is you don't see new until you've seen posts in that thread at least once.

That is kinda weird, but i can see the logic. They don't want to blow up peoples campaign pages. with a campaign that someone makes a character for then bows out before it starts.

Quick Question: We have alot of Jacks in the group. How do we handle the flex skill? The rules say that it can be done daily. Do we just let you know what skill we are taking for that day at the start of the day?

From similar mechanisms in other games, I've always found that it stays as one thing for most of the time and just announce if it changes.
Of course some people may prefer to just change it up every day.

Edit: Taking my own advice, I've allocated my flex skill to 'Perception' for while she's wandering around.

Not to be all meta and whatever, but it might be fun interesting something if we all kept that 'private' to the gm? It's not like all the jacks get up in the morning and have a planning meeting about it...or do they? :)

I was not sure. I assume this is up to the GM, ultimately. Either way seems like a viable option.

Could just update it on your character sheet, and rely on trust to not change in the middle of an encounter/whatever.
I suppose it's still open, but I don't tend to make a habit of checking other characters profiles.

Sorry if I'm being thick, I haven't had much exposure to the game system...for my flex skill I basically can pick a different skill each day and am trained in it. I cannot pick a skill which I am already trained in. Fine cool.

The lack of 'official' skill list I guess is my problem :) I have the iOS character app, and it helpfully lists some skills I could 'add.' But, for example under Speed, it lists both 'Sneaking' and 'Sneaking tasks while in dim or no light'. Which just leads me to mechanical questions. Obviously I have a strong background in Pathfinder rules, so my brain defaults to that for mechanical understanding. So would taking 'generic' Sneaking, for example, include sneaking in all kinds of lighting conditions, but taking the 'specific' Sneaking mean outside those conditions I'd be out of luck? Meaning taking the 'specific' one is probably more restrictive and only conditionally useful? Or does the 'specific' one mean that I can do the 'generic' Sneaking ok but 'specific' Sneaking even better?

Yes, taking generic sneaking includes all kinds of sneaking. The more restricted variant is in there just for some descriptors or foci. You should really take the skills literally, meaning they do exactly what they say they do, so sneaking in while in dim or no light conditions is exactly that: you get the -1 DR for sneaking while in dim or no light, while under all other circumstances you don't get the trained bonus.

I imagine if the GM thinks you pick something to broad he's perfectly within his rights to either call you up on it, or smack you down with intrusions based on the lack of depth of your skill.

Just to be clear, Sal intends to use her scan esotery when the rider comes close enough.

Just a head's up, I probably won't have time to post much over the weekend again. I sort of put a lot in that last post, so if we need to deal with it in chunks, i'm ok with that. I imagine Larsis in particular will need to take a little slowly.
