I was not planning two groups. I think the plot hook will lend itself well to merging the two groups if we lose players which seems to happen more often than not in PbP.

The flu has put me behind so give me a couple of days to go through things here and get the rest of my life back in order.

Any chance of getting a little more info on the opening hook/situation? It would help immensely with knowing what our characters would have with them. My initial thought when I made/lost equipment buy during the recruitment thread was that Mornar would be travelling with a small retinue with pack animals and such since he is royalty, but if he's waking up kidnapped in a jail cell or magically whisked away to some strange plane with nothing but the clothes on his back then that changes what it makes sense to buy/spend time doing virtual accounting for.

Also as an idea...knowledge nobility as a class skill for everyone. I’ve got it as a background skill, but that’s but only because I’m lucky enough to have it as a class skill. Logically we should all have it.

Since the Spider is crawling across the ceiling, how high up is it? With the longspear I have Reach, can I/do I need to hit it from directly below, 'adjacent' square or a full 5ft between?

If the spider is just defending it's territory, and we can't reach it...we should just leave it alone. Everyone go total defense for the +4 AC and go up to level 2.

That would mean leaving it behind us, so if we were to need to run we would need to cross back through it's territory.

The ceiling is 15 feet high but the spider is hanging off of the webs that it has build so that drops it down a couple of feet. The body is about 3 feet round so that means the spider is only about 10-11 feet in the air. Sharp pointy objects should be able to reach it.

Raikdar moved to avoid the soft cover (Kol-Relden, and Godric), but I don't know if the spider counts as being in melee or not. So I didn't include any sort of modifiers to the roll for that sort of thing.

Probably still hits with that natural 20 though. :)

Gad I checked to see what the new post was. :) Was about to say the same thing. I didn't see it at first either, but I was pretty sure troglodytes used to have a stench, at least.
