Senka/Itzal
Blinded by the flash, Senka stumbles back, wincing. Unable to see, she won't shoot, but she blinks rapidly and rubs her eyes, waiting for the stars to fade.
I'm not going to act just yet. I'd like to reserve the right to act later in the round, but I'm not going to use the Ready An Action move, as I don't know of a trigger I'd use. Just, um, Hold my action or something? Honestly, I probably won't use my turn this round, but I don't want to burn that bridge quite yet.
Wrathmire
Snarling, Wrathmire lets a few bolts fly at the gang members on the roof before taking cover.

is it my turn?

Sorry for the long silence; got wicked sick. Thought I posted on all my PbPs' discussion threads, but apparently not. Anyway, I'm slightly fuzzy on where things stand, so...
Ander hangs back pensively, waiting to see what Presmer's plan is.

Sorry, this day has been busy trying to catch up on work, here is a post to catch up a bit.
Itzal rubs the spots from her eyes, and Ander looks around in confusion! The bandits on the ground do the same, but the half-orc growls loudly, "Kill them tricksy basterds!"

Sir Adrian shakes his head, clearing his spotty vision!
Presmer, collecting a small ball of fire in his hand, catches one of the crossbowmen in the shoulder with his fire bolt!
Immediately after that, Wrathmire sends a couple of bolts up into the loft, hitting both crossbowmen! The one that Presmer hit falls, but the other stumbles back, grimacing and still very much alive!
Uriah viciously mocks the half-orc, who growls, "You, I kills you myself!" If I forget, someone remind me that he has disadvantage on his next attack.
Ceidith, being right in front of the half-orc stabs at him, his sword digging in deep, but the half-orc slaps his off-hand attack aside!
Ander and Itzal you may take your actions before the bad-guys get a shot in!
Ander Meliamne
"I guess this is what's happening, then," Ander says with a hint of resignation. Focusing on the leader, he moves to try and finish him off, but swing with the flat of his blade in an attempt to subdue rather than kill. Even so, he moves as fast as possible in an attempt to end this quickly.
I'll use Action Surge so I can attack twice this turn. If the first attack drops the leader, I move on to whoever's close enough to get to.

The half-orc growls at Uriah, but sees there are few others in his way. Still reeling at Ander's vicious hit, Ceidith's taunting draws his attention... "Stewpid sneaks, I punish you!"
The half-orc thug swings wildly, but Ceidith ducks and twirls out of the way, laughing and taunting the whole time!
The other bandits draw their wicked, curved blades and move forward upon Presmer and Ander!

Presmer scrambles back out of the way just in time, but the other bandit, notices Ander focused on the leader, takes advantage of the opening and cuts a deep cut across the young merchant's back! Critical hit! Ander takes 8 hp!

All business, Wrathmire, despite the crossbowman taking cover, puts a bolt squarely through the brigand's eye!
Sir Adrian steps up to help Ceidith, but he trips on a rock, sending the knight's blade to dig in deep to the road, just left of the half-orc!
Presmer, scrambling back flings another firebolt at his assailant! Disadvantage for casting in melee: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24 While trying to stay clear of the bandit's blade, the scholar's spell flies wide!
Wrathmire doesn't stop to admire his handywork and turns his attention to Presmer's assailant, hitting him with two solid shots, but the man yet stands!
Uriah taunts the brigand that cut Ander! Hearing the cutting words, he turns and looks at the bard, pain in his eyes... your words apparently cutting deep!
Ander, recoiling from the hit, dares a glance at his assailant. Noticing the opportunity, he swings hard at the half-orc, who is still in range, and rings his bell! The big thug's eyes roll back and he falls face-first in the dirt.
Ceidith and Itzal are left to act. There are only two bandits left. One looks like he is hanging on by a thread and the other looks like he is about to cry. Both look like they are looking to run away!
Senka/Itzal
Itzal will shoot at the one who looks the most hurt. Or the most dangerous, if none look particularly injured. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 181d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Ander, that is fine. :)
Ander steels himself after the half-orc falls and turns to face his assailant.
Itzal nocks another arrow and lets fly at the bandit hanging on for dear life, catching him through the neck! He falls, lifeless, to the ground, blood pooling and staining the dirt road...
Ceidith?
Aeshuura
|
Since it has been about 24 hrs, I will try to gauge what Ceidith would do based on past actions.
Ceidith looks at the last bandit, watching him look frantically around at his fallen comrades. The masked rogue laughs at the bandit, "Best run home to momma now, crybaby."
At which point, the man backs away from you all until he is ten or so feet away, then turns tail and runs as fast as he possibly can back in the direction of town!
Do you all let him go?
Aeshuura

The man does not slow, but the most you can hope is that you got through even just a little bit.
Aeshuura

I will give an hour or two for others to chime in before you head back to the Tea Kettle.
Ceidith
Sorry I did'nt post. Aushuura, that was exactly what Ceidith would have said :)
As he is passing Ander, Cedith speaks Doubt he'l stop doing what he does. It's hard to get out of a life full of crime. You learn that early when you live a life like mine
Senka/Itzal
Senka scans the area for additional threats, particularly anyone who might be hiding. perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Glad I was able to reflect Ceidith's personality accurately. ;)
As Itzal scans her surroundings, then inspects the barn. She finds the one remaining body of the crossbowmen in the loft (one crossbowmen fell out of the loft when he got shot), and soon is confident that there are no threats in the area.

Wrathmire finds little on the bodies, as if they were out on the job and told not to carry anything that they did not want to lose, nor anything that could identify them.

Senka, satisfied there are no additional threats, collects her arrows. She nods agreement with Wrathmire.
