The creature's words trigger something in Kalistrine. She growls, an inhuman sound coming from her throat, and hurls herself at the Decapus as it tumbles from the ceiling. Her claws make a horrific mess of the aberration as she rips it to ribbons, and though it is already dead she defiles the corpse, reducing it to unidentifiable pulp. Anyone approaching her will elicit only a demonic stare, her face coated in black and purple ichor. Her skin is reddened beneath all that, the scars on the left side of her face much more visible in this state, forming what looks like a symbol of some kind.

Knowledge: Planes or Religion DC 20:
The scars on her face form a glyph of the Queen of Demons, Lamashtu. Pazuzu is her sworn rival and deadly enemy in the Abyss.

When she has finished with the Decapus' remains, she shuffles into a corner, breathing hard and slumps against the wall.

twenty-foot drops into a large, eerie grotto.
The walls drip with moisture and bear strange

if the cavern is viewed through a
dreamlike haze. To the south you see 2 passages forking due south, where the cave paintings continue and another to the southwest.

"Ah, you are right, Jorland. The wand is indeed offensive in nature and apparently the source of the creature's fiery rays. It seems to have a rather plentiful supply of charges remaining, which I'm sure we can ourselves. The circlet is one that increases a person's abilities that are based on charismatic properties." She smiles as she explains the items to the others.

"While this circlet would be wonderful for a bard or cleric, it could benefit just about anyone. The wand, on the other hand, can only be used by someone who can utilize this spell, or who can control magic items. I'd be glad to carry the wand and use it on behalf of the party if you all don't mind, as I have few other offensive options. But of course if someone else would rather use it, I have no objections to that either."

She holds out both circlet and wand for others to examine if they choose and claim if they wish to.

Takeshi looks around for a suitable place to secure his rope and then does so, allowing the tail to trail over the ledge to the floor. Dismissing his size, he then climbs down the rope to the others.

If he has to go up a second 20 ft drop, he'll climb and look for the best place where he can secure and drop to the main level his 50' silk rope. If such a spot doesn't exist he'll secure at the lower level, and can later bring it to the upper.

"I could also use the pearl, as it enhances my limited magical repertoire that, in theory, can be used to devastating effect. At least that is what they demonstrated at the Academy. Of course, I have yet to test it out in practice. We seem to have the knack for defeating an enemy before I can bring such abilities to bear," Takeshi says with a chuckle.

As a Kensai, Takeshi has diminished spellcasting, reducing the number of spells he can cast a day, so something like a PoP could be helpful to pull out another Shocking Grasp (not that he's really had the chance to use the spell once yet though, lol).
