Male Gnome Wizard Illusionist Specialist Lv 12th

I need a heal check DC 20 . Requires at least 1 point in heal skill. If you Make that the wand works

Scarab Sages

Male Human Magus L8/Brawler L1/Bloodrager L1

No rank in healing and not a divine spellcaster, so I can't use the wand anyway.

Arrggghhh! Who has healing?

Scarab Sages

you will need to finish combat or have Rolande out of it to perform a heal check.

Roll them bones!

I am going to study these beasties a bit and gather any bits that might be of use in some arcane sense. Also, I will note my findings in my notebook. Perhaps later I will do a sketch from memory.

"Trophy anyone?"

With the samples and drawings you will be able to identity the creature back at the Grand Lodge in Absalom...assuming you live to do the research...

Cela roll heal check 1d20+9

-Posted with Wayfinder

Fort Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Rolande's bite wounds look to be festering. These wounds will not heal naturally and require Cela to make the heal check before they can be healed by magic (spell, wand or potion).

Rolande you have 6 points of bite damage from the nasty Vargouille. To heal and this must be resolved before we end the scenario. If Cela is unable to heal you will need to pay for healing.

GM Stuff:
Anaba Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Buchart Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20
Cela Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Fernleaf Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Rolande Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

Searching the room you find nothing of particular interest. It seems the large displays are fearsome looking, but harmless. There are two doors in the room on the North wall.

Buchart and Rolande hear what appears to be someone or something cackling madly behind the Eastern door. There is a plaque above the door that reads "Facilities". Fernleaf checks for traps and finds none and the door is unlocked.

Rolande you may want to get those bites looked at before you press forward

Cela please lay hands!

cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

will do that clw twice if needed

heal check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Female Tiefling Witch 3 | AC:12 (16 Mage Armor) T:12 FF:10 | HP:23/23 | F:+3 R:+3 W:+3 | Move:30 | Init:+8 (+2 Dex) | Perception: +4

Cela inspects Rolande's bites and uses some topical treatment she pulled together to stabilize the wounds. Two charges from her wand brings him to full hitpoints

Male Halfling Rogue L2

I will check for traps at the north west door (top of room on map)

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

If open an unlocked, I will enter.

This simple room of unadorned stone is piled floor to ceiling with boxes and crates, allowing room for only a few small corridors between these towers of dusty, mothballed exhibits.

A search of the crates and room finds nothing of interest.

Mad cackling through the wall from the East ("Facilities") can be heard more clearly here.

East door room or somewhere else?

Dark Archive

Male Halfling Rogue L2

I will leave the room and do the same drill on the lower door from room 4 East door

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Detect Traps

I will open and enter if unlocked and untrapped.

Fernleaf moves to the East door and the party follows close behind.
Searching he finds no traps and the door is unlocked, so he opens the door and steps inside.

These public restrooms seem to be for the use of visiting clientele. Several stalls are here and a huge cesspool below collects the offal. Mad laughter echoes in this cramped stone chamber. The stench of sewage battles the cold of the mist, but through the haze can be seen smears of blood across the floor, walls, and ceiling, as well as the doors of several stalls.

Fernleaf does not have long to evaluate the situation as a bloody and feces solid ape-man rushes out of a nearby stall cackling madly and attacks. From an adjacent stall a small viper slithers out and heads for the party.

Takes a 5' step back

Scarab Sages

Male Human Magus L8/Brawler L1/Bloodrager L1

The normal penalty for fighting with two weapons is -6/-10. Two Weapon Fighting relieves this penalty by 2 on each attack, so -4/-8. The higher is off-hand on each.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Magus L8/Brawler L1/Bloodrager L1

I will make an Acrobatics check to avoid an attack of opportunity and enter the room. I will then use my Wand of Burning Hands to get both baddies in the 15' cone.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

Wand Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Fernleaf swings wildly missing the ape-man then steps back. Buchart rushes forward and tries to maneuver out of the way, but the ape-man is faster.

Attack of opportunity / Damage: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 201d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Buchart is hit for 4 points of damage, but reaches his position and blasts the ape-man and snake with a fiery arc.

Reflex Save DC13 Ape-man: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Reflex Save DC13 snake: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Turd apes and piss vipers! Oh my! Do I need to make a fort save after being struck by a turd ape?

Your OK you got hit by the ape-man - no poison...yet

Female Human (Shoanti) 147532-1 Fighter 1 | AC 22 T13 FF 20 | HP 71/71 | F +12 R +8 W +2 | Init +5 | Perc +10

I sniff the air in disgust and look angrily at the poop ape that has attacked my friends. I run toward the disgusting beast and slam into him punching him with my fists.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 141d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Does the slamming and punching count as two moves? As the beast creature I know I have an advantage in that department.

Anaba rushes forward for some ape on ape action and punches her rival with a solid hit. Pulling back her hairy fist with some blood and poo. Did anyone bring the Purell?

The viper moves in and tries to bite Buchart.
snake bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
1 point of damage

Buchart - Make a DC9 Fortitude save or be poisoned.

Speckled Viper Poison:
Bite—injury; save Fort DC 9; frequency 1/round for 6 rounds; effect 1d2 Con damage; cure 1 save.

Damage: Pistol + Up Close and Deadly: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (5) = 8

Rolande fires his pistol, but misses the fast moving snake.

Cela + Cat and are up!!
Ape-man -8
Fernleaf
Buchart
Anaba
Speckled Viper -1

Maybe this Turd-Ape is a transformed person like Anaba?

We could use some poo-pourri 'cause it smells like someone died in here!

The ape-man has a similar look to Anaba, Proto-type Ape. His clothes are shredded, dirtier, smellier and he is raving mad.

Scarab Sages

Male Human Magus L8/Brawler L1/Bloodrager L1

That's just what I was thinking. Perhaps we should try to subdue rather than kill the ape. The viper on the other hand
..

Snakes! Why is it always snakes!
