Has anyone else noticed lot's of unnecessary apostrophe's on the forum's lately?
I think its really irritating, so I thought I'd be a jerk and start this thread, dedicated to superfluous apostrophe's.
Thank's!

Eh, you forgot to put a necessary apostrophe there...

Generic Villain, you win the prize!
That was intentional.
I personally have trouble with the its/it's thing, I'm recovering, though.
When I typed out the OP, I was going to type "it's" correctly, but I thought I'd try leaving it out to see who noticed.
You, sir, are a grammar hero.

Based on what I've seen, it seems that second "o" is unnecessary...

Heh, nice. What can I say, I like me some grammar. Alas, with the advent of instant messaging/texting, the upcoming generation can barely spell apostrophe, much less know how to use it. LOL!

Not all of us are English majors or even went to college. If you want to help someone learn the correct way to do something then by all means help by posting a helpful correction, but I find it grating that something like grammar knowledge makes some people feel superior to others. I also find it offensive to make some posters feel like they need perfect English knowledge in order to post upon these boards.
Knowledge is power, abuse of knowledge is abuse of power. Hop off the high-horse and help out instead of attacking people who may not know better.

Calm down, Fakey. You dont need to have gone to HIGH SCHOOL, let alone college, to know the basic's of grammar an speling. Its ju'st common sense.
