OK, Val, Rad, please feel free to spend the XP in the next few scenes if you so choose, otherwise you can save it for a later advance. I will hold off on Albrek as well, assuming for the time being that Dr. Dark will be stepping in at some point.
Lorm is right Val, it will take at least ten insanity points accrued before you start, acting, um, "differently". I'm just assuming Ishmael is a bit 'touched' as it is. Fair enough. Just keep in mind actions do have consequences in this game.
So that everyone is aware, the character sheets have been updated again on the wiki. I have added a pump-action shotgun and five clips to Johnnie and annotated Savalos and Uriah for their advances and XP used. These sheets will be kept current for the duration of the campaign.

Sheesh; you gonna give Lorm a big head ;hehe
btw; my character missed the fear check; thus; irrational behavior to smash that which you fear. having been a soldier; I know we blew up everythign that spooked us and kept shooting till nothing was left.

Hey Val,
Reread what my character said. "My count is five...Ishmael. Maybe you should go sit in the shuttle, and let Uriah finish talking here."
That is what I wrote. There is nothing disrespectful about it. I have read well over 50 warhammer/40k novels. Believe me I am acting well in character. The other stuff I wrote was his thoughts. Unless your a mindreader I am still free to think my own thoughts. =)
Unless one of us earns favor from the Inquisitor above Uriah. He is the only one with senority. Otherwise your just one amongest equals and have equal standing with my scum in the Inquisitors eyes.

an appropriate advance for johnnie would be +5% BS or Dodge.

Radavel, Dodge is not in your advancement profile. Raising your BS +5 will cost you 100 XP.

Rad, I will update Johnnie with +5% if that is your choice. I will post the new sheet to the wiki as soon as I have confirmation.
Val, one thing to remember, like Bal said, what is written in quotes is what is said aloud. Please don't feel affronted for what his character thinks. I'm perfectly willing to accept Ishmael as something of a violence-prone, slightly irrational character but by the same token, Savalos can be a snarky, sarcastic hiver scum. Some intra-party conflict can be good for RP'ing as long as it doesn't get out of hand or become interplayer squabbling.
Also, I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Redemptionist cult in 40k, but they are essentially perceived as ultra-orthodox violence-driven nutcases by a lot of the established, traditional clergy. This is, in a sense, a good thing for how you are portraying him, as it justifies some of your tendencies. The Imperial Faith is widely adhered to, as Uriah's frequent oaths attest, but your character will sometimes need to fight for acceptance, particularly among the more baseline clerics. The cool part is you get to burn things, with fire... a lot.

Rookseye, Uriah has pilot(spaceship) Untrained. Could he pilot the shuttle without to much trouble or risk (i.e. a routine task)?
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Having the Pilot (Spacecraft) skill that Uriah has as an untrained basic skill is sufficient to pilot the shuttle under routine circumstances, such as undocking, moving from orbit to planetside (and vice versa), and landing the craft under normal conditions. Voidborn have an innate acumen with spacecraft due to their origins. Where Uriah would potentially run into trouble would be when he needs to make a skill check due to an adverse situation, maneuvers in combat and things of that nature.
The long and short of it, is, yes, Uriah can fly the craft. With about as much skill and expertise as a commercial pilot flies a 747.

The wiki will be expanded and fill out gradually through play, with NPC information, locations, images, etc.
I have reserved the section 'Scriptorium Chronicle' for anyone who wishes to post 'in character' summaries of the events that have occurred thus far.
Simply login to the wiki, edit the page, and begin writing. I'd recommend using the Imperial dating convention (an example is listed at the top of the page) to indicate what day the event occurred on.
For example: The date posted on the page is '1.816.M41', therefore day two of your campaign would be: '2.816.M41'. The '816' is the standard year, and obviously, M41 is the millennium, in this case, 40. I find the in-character postings add a lot to the richness of the campaign, and even gives me some insight into the character's mindsets that can further open up the ideas for future events.
Anyway great playing with you guys so far, looking forward to more.

OK Val, I have tried to allow this to resolve itself through some gentle warnings about how I expect players to conduct themselves in this game, but apparently you did not notice, or were not willing to take the hint.
There is a very distinct difference between role-playing a character who is abrasive and actually being abrasive, and I think you have repeatedly crossed it. This, coupled with the a tendency to post out of format and seemingly without reading the details of what has gone before shows that you have very little regard for your own, much less others enjoyment of the game. I believe that everyone has given you wide latitude so far to correct this, but you have only managed to incite everyone further. The last post, obviously OOC in the IC post was the end of my patience.
I don't want to have everyone in this game more preoccupied with how to deal with your issues or your character's than with the game itself, so at this point, I would appreciate it if you would bow out gracefully.
If anyone else believes this to be too heavy-handed, or in any way out of line on my part, I will entertain any recommendation that Val be allowed to keep playing. This is a group decision in the end.

Rookseye, thank you for the way you handle the situation with Val. You tried to be fair and he was not listening. He did not listen to Balfic and I and we have known him for 20 years. I was planning on having Uriah execute Ishmael for betraying the Inquisition and disloyalty to Ahmazzi after landing, when (not if) he refused to take the oaths that Uriah demanded of him. Now this can be handle as part of the story and not the roleplaying it would of taken, which would of been painful for all of us.

Thanks, Lorm, I'm sorry it didn't work out, but the enjoyment of the majority supersedes the individual in this case. I foresaw the same messy outcome as well, and felt it would have jeopardized the campaign's story before it even had a chance to begin. If I honestly felt there was any better solution, I would have tried it, but this will benefit everyone in the end, I think.

Hi all, just a quick note. We will be attempting to round out the group with some new additions. I have reopened the recruiting post and Balfic is conferring with a couple of potential new players. In the interim, we will continue on with Albrek and Ishmael as NPCs until the storyline of the campaign dictates otherwise. If anyone has someone in mind for the game, feel free to have them post a character concept in OOC or the Recruiting thread.
