ROUND SUMMARY

Garfaulk's bullet hits, but it bounces off the heavy armor. Wulf, on the other hand, has the right tool for the job. His warhammer hits hard.

The robot struggles to his feet (provoking AoO by Charles and Wulf, go ahead and do that on your next turn), and swings his arm at Charles. He decides to not fight the grapple, but simply kill the grappler.

Watching as the bullets and spells bounced off the robot like it was nothing, the dwarf swore, though kept up his chanting-there wasnt much he could do to it either. Unless... looking to the spinning, whirring leather things that looked incredibly dangerous, Garfaulk focused on them, muttering a phrase in old Dwarvish as he cast a spell.

Suddenly, coming from the ceiling was another spinning device! And this one was coming straight at the robot!

Silent Image! Trying to make it stumble away from the fake one into a real one, hoping they do damage

ROUND SUMMARY

The robot, now back on its feet, is hard to end. Spells and bullets go bouncing off his armor, as do Charles' daggers. Garfaulk's illusion has no impact whatsoever... I commend the thinking outside the box, but like constructs, robots are immune to mind-affecting effects.

Wulf connects on his AoO and does damage, and his primary attack does too! barely, and only because of Garfaulk's song and the grapple.

LaRA watches as the robot is pounded into the ground. As it is confirmed to no longer be moving anymore, she snaps back at the rest. "Translation: The robot mentioning 'purging' at vocation of entity Divinity." She blinks twice, as her eyes start fluttering. "Resuming Divinity Hypothesis: Divinity appears to have authority over Androffan technology. Previous data indicates activity of entity Divinity stretching back 8,000 years." Her eyes seem to strain for a moment, as she tries to remember something, then shakes her head. "No data regarding Divinity found in memory banks.", she informs, a sliver of disappointment in her voice.

"Hypothesis: entity Divinity unknown as a deity to local civilisation. It exhibits power to inflict debilitating effects on a large population of sentients, as well as control over technology.". She points to the orcs corpse just outside the room. "It appears to be in conflict with entity Hellion."

She looks around, eyes fluttering once more. "It appears to have once had near complete control of this vessel's inhabitants and crew... Please hold."

Straining once more as if trying to remember, LaRA's head snaps at the party once more. "Multiple hypotheses stored and altered. Will reinitialise upon new data input.", she says in a calm voice, accompanied by a horridly out-of-place smile. "Observation: Capturing Meyanda may grant a large amount of useable information."

With the robot deactivated, you have a chance to look around.

An immense machine looms to the south in this room, its upper portion obscured by tangles of hanging cables and cords. The device looks something like an enormous oven, its front open with a rotating belt of green leathery material connecting to a wide metal table. Good idea, Chuck!

Charles discovers a red access card behind one of the desks. A clumsy technician must have accidently lost it millenia ago.

A search of the large machine to the south reveal dozens of fragments of strange, partially completed devices lodged within the machine. Looks like this machine was some type of... device builder. aka fabricator One of these little gadgets looks complete, though rusty and old, and you take it with you.

There is nothing else of interest in the room.

Please inform this unit about scheduling a magical scan.", she turns towards the rest. As the walk out of the room, she continues. "Observation: Preliminary preparation concluded by this party has been with the purpose of combat with entity Meyanda. The more time the opposing force is given, the more likely it is that their priority and preparation shift towards repelling our efforts." She reloads her crossbow. "Suggestion: Two alternative methods appear: Assaulting the red door now, or attempting to find out an alternate means of ingress."

After a rather strange pronouncement by Charles-- he obviously DID try to tackle the robot-- the group prepares for whatever lies behind the sealed door. Charles swipes his card... the access panel pings to green, the door slides open... Garfaulk casts silent image and lets the fake Gearsman go through first. I'm allowing that action as sort of a sneak attack round, but otherwise, it is initiative all the way here!

Panels of blinking lights and machinery line the walls of this chamber, but the true spectacle here is the massive machine of metal that looms against the far wall on a ten-foot-high platform. Two immense cylinders of pulsing violet light throb at the machine’s core, while above a thinner cylinder extends through the ceiling. Ladders to the north and south provide access to the machine’s platform, while at the center, a smaller machine with several metal spikes protruding from its heart extends from the larger one. The entire room vibrates with a roaring thunder, and the air feels strangely alive, almost as if it were vibrating as well.

You see two of the collector robots hovering about. You remember these-- you fought one when you were saving Khonnir Baine.

Toward the back off the room, there are a series of crates set up in a line 6 feet tall. There is a small gap between two of them. Functionally, an arrow slit Meyanda knew you were coming, and she obviously prepared. A voice rings out... once again, it seem amplified in some fashion.

"I knew you were coming, fools! Destroy my army perhaps, but you shall not kill the high priestess of the almighty Talon, the god Hellion...! Oh my Hellion... how did you get that robot on your side??? Attack, collectors! Attack!"

Roll for Initiative!:

Wulf: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Ton'iel: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Charles: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Zeke: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Zeke bonus: +2 when underground
LaRA: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Garfaulk: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Meyanda: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Collector Robots: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
