Additional Resources says the following:

"Contents in this book will appear in an upcoming update of the Pathfinder Reference Document, at which point the versions in this book will replace any earlier versions (see the list below); at that time, characters are expected to update to use the new rules or rebuild as laid out in Chapter 2 of the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Guide. Modified gear—including ioun stones whose resonance powers changed—can be sold back at its full market price. Further updates and allowances specific to a particular character option may appear in the Pathfinder Society General Discussion forum on paizo.com. Until then, both versions of the character option are legal for play.

The following character options have received updates since they appeared in earlier publications, and characters must use these updated versions (pending the Pathfinder Rules Document update): brand of conformity, brand of hobbling, brand of tracking, Eagle Knight dress uniform, enlightened bloodrager, golden eagle epaulets, Golden Legionnaire, hellknight barding, lore warden, mammoth hide, Mounted Blade, Pathfinder savant, Qadiran horselord, Ritual Mask, shackle, Steel Falcon, talonstrike sword, Tribal Hunter, Tribal Scars, and wayfinder resonance. Earlier sources in which these rules originally appeared remain a legal source for accessing these updated character options."

However as near as I can tell, the PRD has not been updated, so none of the changes mentioned above have officially taken place, correct?

This is correct. At this rate, I doubt it will ever come to pass.

Such a bummer to. I received potions and poisons for my birthday because a friend knew how much I like those kinda characters and I was excited to use some of the stuff in it. I mean, I get why, all resources eventually be moved to 2e, but it seems like a such a bummer not to "finish" the 1e stuff first. :(

Wait what? The PRD and additional resources are two completely different things.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure they'll finish Additional Resources, and probably Campaign Clarifications. That's not nearly on the same level as the PRD.

If they just leave us hanging on the books we've bought since January, I'm going to be very wary about buying anything else. I'm already extremely frustrated at the handling of additional resources this year (and overall, honestly.)

Keep in mind, the longer the changes take to the PRD, the longer players will get to use the options that are planning to be changed once the Adventurers Guide gets added to the PRD.

I know! It's like a stealth de-nerf. Too bad Lore Warden has it's own special legality update, but at least I'll be able to use meaningful ioun stone resonance.

...I didn't expect this. ^_^

So I guess this makes the thread's question much more relevant.

Just saw the blog post, and I am now watching to see what happens!

I suppose that means these changes have now come into force?

I guess so. I think I have finally have to replace Tribal Scars on all my characters that have it. Tis a sad in in Pirate Hit Point land.

Yep, that's what it looks like. The one that I was interested in was the Clear Spindle Ioun Stone, and it's new, less powerful resonance effect is is listed.

Is there anytime limit on taking advantage of the "sell back at full market price option?" Do I need to do that now, or can I wait a bit? This is on a character that just started Eyes of the Ten, and I'm thinking it may be useful to have the immediate action option available for the rest of the arc.

Next adventure you play, you must sell it back for the initial cost and either re-purchase it, or keep the gold for the next raise dead spell you will need.

:D

So in essence, right before the part 2 briefing.

OK, I can do that.

Oh good, we finally get recruited for some top-tier Pathfinder assignment that we all deserve, and the guy is just trolling us to die.

It's like my first day in the Lodge all over again...

The PRD was never updated. It never will be. Archives of Nethys is the replacement PRD.
