The Exchange 4/5

Are we going to get anymore, since it’s been 8 months since the splat books have gotten an update.

Or will we be waiting till the new edition comes out?

And 5 months since any update.

Historically updates are super slow May through August with a large number of updates appearing in September-November

The Exchange 4/5

I want to know since in the last year or more we’ve had one of any significance. I’ve got 8 months worth of splatbooks that I’ve been wanting to use in play and not heard word one. Last time I posted in the AR thread it as ‘soon’. I’ve been waiting SPECIALLY for Potions & Poisons since release, given this character is a Alchemist, vishkanya and poisoner.

Wondering if I should just shut down my subscriptions till the new version is released.

We have a five months of Additional Resources updates we've been queuing for an upload this week. We'll be jumping to the next several months' products after that.

I haven't played a character in almost a year because I desperately want to retrain him to gain an archetype released in Potions and Poisons for flavor reasons. But if I play the character anymore, it will significantly increase the prestige cost of the retraining.

I'm wondering if any other items and archetypes from the comic series will be legalized for PFS.

There are copyright (and balance) issues with them

Hopefully they just needed a bit of extra time with the server hiccups and we'll see the AR updates this week... >_>

A small part of me likes to muse that enough options have been made legal that merely writing them on a single web-page is enough to produce a PC capable of ascending to godhood...if only the servers were powerful enough to manifest it.

If there is an AR update coming soon, can I ask for some clarity around the magic items in the Adventurer's Armory 2? Currently the entry reads that all equipment is legal, but it does not reference magic items at all (as legal or illegal). Sometimes magic items are included in the "equipment" portion of the entry, and sometimes they are not, so it is difficult to tell what is meant here. There are only a few magic items in the book, the Ring of Balanced Grip, the Gloves of Improvised Might, and the Quickmetal Bracers, and the Scrap Collector's Strap. The Gloves of Improvised Might, in particular, would make a lot of improvised weapon builds viable. They are priced similarly to the Amulet of Mighty Fists, but they still carry the restriction of needing a +1 before adding any special qualities, so they don't seem overpowered or underpriced.

Either way, some clarity on this would be really helpful, so those of us out here with potential or current Improvised weapon builds don't continue to hold out hope if the items were meant to be restricted. I've asked this before the last two AR updates with no luck getting it address. I figured one more time won't hurt.
