Pinning Shot Deed - Multiple Attacks / Targets

Rules Questions

Is 1 grit point required for each attack or 1 grit point total if making a full round attack?

"Pinning Shot (Ex): At 15th level, the bolt ace can spend 1 grit point while shooting a crossbow and attempt to pin down its target with the bolt. If the crossbow attack hits, it pins the target to a nearby object, to a wall, or to the ground, entangling and staggering the target. While pinned by the bolt, the target cannot move out of its space until it takes a standard action to free itself from the pinning bolt, except by means of teleportation."

Bueller...

Well, now I know what Bueller means.

1 grit point required for each attack.
I'm not seeing any indication that it would affect every attack in a full attack action, rather the opposite.
There's a clear use of singular terms in the language of the deed, such as "the bolt" and "crossbow attack".

And did you really post that 28 minutes ago, or are the servers just catching up?

I posted it last week... not sure why it took that long...

Similarly then I would guess "hammer the gap" applies to each attack, not each arrow if using a double crossbow despite each arrow "hitting"

Yeah, unfortunately.

A "Hit" is pathfinder language for "an attack that overcame the opponents AC". So since a double crossbow uses one 'attack' there can only be one 'hit'.
