At 2nd level, a Wizard can take the Fighter dedication. From then on, they can cast all of their spells while wearing full plate, no problem.

Thoughts?

Not a problem.

To be totally honest, I think armour proficiency should be reviewed altogether.

Considering how usless caster damage is right now, I don't feel even giving them heavy for free is a problem for combat.

Of course, the maths shows that you're better off with a breastplate instead of full plate, since I'm assuming you got Fighter dedication with 16 Dex rather than 16 Str.

Certainly worth playtesting as-is. If it turns out to be too powerful, they'll probably bring back some variant of arcane spell failure.

Other than some cross blooded shenanigans, spell damage has always been low.

It's even worst now. And with every single spell being now a 1 minute duration tactical encounter power, is not that the utility is still there to compensate anyway.

For me I don't think it's overpowered, it just seems kinda weird thematically.

Actually, depending on your Dex, even an untrained Wizard might be better off wearing armor than not, depending on how much they care about their speed and their Dex-based skill checks.

But I guess it is cool that multiclass wizard/fighter is now viable no matter what gear you want to wear.
