Can you please get Jason Bulmahn's voice out of my head while I'm reading the rulebook?

I'm not sure how you added this feature, but if you could turn it off, or at least give me the option of turning it off and on, I would appreciate it!

Thanks!

Sorry, but I am afraid this is now a core feature of Pathfinder. In fact, we added to our boards as well. You are reading this in my voice aren't you...

But seriously... kudos for getting my last name right. It's a rarity.

If this ‘core feature’ makes it through the playtest, I’ll be house ruling it out of my home games for sure.

But it doesn’t seem right to me that Pathfinder Society players should just have to suffer through it. I mean, it’s hardly a deal breaker, but I think people should be able to hear whatever voices they want in their heads while reading the core rules. Bring Jason Bulmahn’s voice back as an optional rule in the Advanced Player’s Guide, if you must, but please remove it from the core book.

And here I was thinking that it was just Uncommon.

I heard they scrapped the audiobook version because they couldn't get Jason to leave the Dream Realm long enough to do the recording and it wouldn't be right with just any voice actor.

Could be worse. Could be that you read it in the voice of...Morgan Freeman!

No, no, no! Morgan Freeman's voice is too comforting and smooth! They need their player base to be scared and energized, not falling into a gentle slumber!

The problem is the recording from PaizoCon where Jason started to read the Introduction. So the moment I started to read the introduction I could hear the PaizoCon recording, and then it just stayed......

I elected to use the feat "Squeaky Jason"

Squeaky Jason --- Feat 1
(General, Skill)
Prerequisites: Jason Bulmahn's voice is in my head.
By spending one action I alter Jason Bulmahn's voice to sound like he just inhaled a considerable amount of helium.

I appear to have a defective copy - mine is in the voice of Brian Blessed - it certainly makes you pay attention!

Ever since in Mid-April, I have had the voice of R. Lee Ermey in my head reading me the rules. It was the only way for the mourners inside to allow themselves any real comfort, they retired Morgan Freeman, so he and James Marsters give funny commentary while I am awake.
