differentiate between the same monster miniature

Miniatures

Hi, I am looking for ways to differentiate between the same monster miniature on the board at the same time by having some kind of plastic, silicone, or rubber base marker that the miniature can sit in or that can go around the side of the base. Does anyone know if this exists? Or does anyone have a better idea. I do not wish to paint anything.

I use a little blob of liquid paper or two on the base. Doesn’t require any painting skill if that was your concern rather than aesthetics.

Various companies sell plastic rings and tokens that can be used to mark your figures. Doing a Google search for "miniatures condition tokens" gives a good list of these companies. I personally like Alea Tools as their markers are magnetic, come in different colors, and offer "Edge Marks" that are stickers with numbers or conditions that are designed for the outside edges of their markers.

I personally use different colours of nail polish. Just a dot on the base.

Stuffer Shack sells a product called "Mini Counters", which are plastic discs numbered 1 to 20, backed with a small dab of putty used to stick them to miniature bases and remove them for later use.

Along with the numbered 1 to 20 black discs you get 20 red discs all marked "X" so you can mark the dead within a group of identical creatures.

I'm having trouble bringing up their website (stuffershack.com).

I use small rubber bands that I "stole" from my daughters. You can get a 200-300 bag for a couple of dollars and there's enough colors.

It's easy to see color on the base, nothing permanent (but generaly stay a while if I wish to use the minis on more than one session). Also they fit on medium and large base. For small base I found smaller one that fit.
When I build my encounter in HeroLab I just replace the # in the monster's name with a color.
