One hit Druid level 4

Advice

What is the hardest hitting single attack form at level 4 for a druid? One of my PCs druid is running into DR issues.

Small or medium size animal then? There's not a lot of variance because the druid doesn't get the ability scores or any special abilities with wild shape/beast shape I. An axe beak or a monitor lizard gives a 1d8 bite.

The produce flame or pale flame spells will probably be the best way to get thru DR for a 4th level druid.

I depends on what the Druid's Nature Bond is. Honestly, Animal Companion is probably your best bet for reliable sustained damage, but if you go Domain, Druids can dish out some decent nukes.

The hardest hitting single attack form at level 4 is the bull shark (2d8 bite). Next up is the giant porcupine (2d6 tail slap) if you're one of those losers who actually needs legs. Honorable mention to the giant gecko (2d4 bite), if you happen to want a climb speed.

At level 6 you've got the arsinoitherium (4d8 gore) and at level 8 you've got the behemoth hippopotamus (4d8 gore) or cameroceras (4d8 tentacles).

Grand Lodge

Arsinoitherium though legal, clearly has a typo. Currently, it powerful charge is the same as it's regular attack and it's trample is 2d8. The main attack should the 2d8. I would ask a gm before using the 4d8 main attack.

I was looking at some Huge form options, originally I thought the behemoth Hippo was the hardest hitting single attack form but it appears this beast is one above him https://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/animals/megafauna/megafa una-deinotherium/megafauna-elasmotherium/

This is quite impressive strong jawed.

If your player is having trouble with DR, I've always found versatility to be the best way to deal with it. The druid has 2nd level spells....have him/her memorize Flame Blade. Now it's fire damage instead of physical. At level 4, it would be highly unlikely to go against a creature that has both DR, SR, AND Fire Resistance.

If this trick is wanted later on (aka in a few levels), have him/her carry a Lesser Metamagic Rod of Elemental and change the damage type to something the monster is vulnerable to.

Not everything needs to be solved with wild shaping.

Oooooooh we have a new winner!!

Now, all we need is a beastkin berserker with Improved Vital Strike and Furious Finish: with strong jaw that's 216 base damage on a standard action, before any bonuses.

Cave druid, carnivorous crystal ooze is still the winner with its 7d8 slam I think.

Ya unfortunately it's a unique corner case only available to the specific archetype. I happen to be playing one in my other campaign, Avr put the build together for me, he's currently doing over 400 damage a round (originally it was 500+ damage a round but I self imposed nerfs because he was far overpowered. Even at 400+ damage a round he's grossly overpowered when fully buffed at level 14 right now he's at a +34 attack roll. Our barbarian comparatively hits like a child.

That is deadly. Could you share his stats and what buffs he uses? My hippo druid multiclasser only gets to +29 against best favored enemy with Greater magic fang active.

I have the luxury of an alchemist in our party who provides me with an extract of heroism which is nice, the rest my character does on his own. His strength in Wild shape is 30 this includes a +6 belt of strength. His Dex is 14, Con is 16, Int is 10, Wis is 20, Cha is 7. Sorry the total is only +33. Level 14 total monk/druid.

BaB +11
Str +10
Hunters Blessing: +2 sacred bonus
Heroism: +2 morale bonus
Divine Favor (celestial obedience to Falayna): +4 luck bonus (fates favored otherwise would only be +3)
Greater Magic Fang: +3 enhancement bonus
Cracked Pale Green Ioun Stone: +1 competence bonus

I like this hero because he is far from a one trick pony. He has strong saves and the ability to cast 6th level spells. I'm sure there are more ways to increase his attack roll but I'm no expert.

Going to mention that Produce Flame (1st level, 1d6+level touch damage, 1 min/level) is practically the same as Flame Blade (2nd level, 1d8+level touch damage, 1min/level). Flame Blade caps out at a higher damage, Produce Flame can do ranged touch for a cost of 1 min duration.

Ya, but with Flame Blade, you can make light saber wooshing noises.

Thank you. That is very cool! I have no access to Heroism or Divine favor sadly. Hunters blessing I could cast. Have to remember to do that. I have to start looking for ways of getting that to hit bonus higher. That Ioun stone seems like a good start.

Do you use flurry with Feral combat training or Vital strike?

I use it with feral combat training. Ya Divine Favor I got through Celestial Obedience to Falayna, really it's not required but it's such a good buff that's why I took it, simply for that boon (good way to take advantage of fates favored) not for the bonus to CMB.
