Is there any way to buy a nonmagical rat in PFS

Pathfinder Society

I don't want a familiar or animal companion, but for an upcoming character idea I want to purchase a nonmagical rat for my PFS character. I don't plan on using it in combat, but I do want it to have some sort of grounding in rules and not just be a flavor thing.

Adventurer's Armory has prices for standard pet rats, Alkenstar blue rats, domesticated dire rats and donkey rats, among others.

Snake familiars certainly hope you can purchase an ordinary rat.

Price 1 cp; Weight 1/2 lb.

Usually sold by vendors on a thin wooden stick, these small chunks of cooked meat often come from many different sorts of creatures—rats and pigeons are the most common.

Yes, the sources look almost identical.

But you're losing half a pound of skin, bones and gore! It's what pteranodons crave!

My male pet rats generally reach about a pound in weight. Females are generally about half a pound.

Probably true, if Pterosaurs have digestive systems similar to birds.
