Gencon 2018 Planning

So, I'm planning to go to Gencon, and spend at least 2 days mostly playing PFS. The main character I will be using is Dark Archive. Are there any of the events that would be best to try to get into?

Is there any indication which of the events will be the big, important one?

Sadly, the local GM moved away, so this is the best chance I have to play for many months.

The multitable specials are worth getting into.

I recommend looking at the Gen Con catalog and see what scenarios interest you. There will probably be many Season 9 games, so consider looking up which ones are Dark Archive.

How can I tell which ones are multi-table ones?

Where would I go to look up which scenarios are beneficial for Dark Archive?

When reading the blurb of the scenario on this website, you can read on these on which faction it is most attuned to.

And, am I not finding them on the Gencon site because they haven't been posted yet, or because I'm that bad at searching?

Honestly, for me, could be either way.

I don't believe they are posted yet, because GMs haven't received their schedules yet.

As for multitable games:

10-00 will also be a multitable interactive
Saturday night will also have a Starfinder Society interactive!

You should be able to play the same character through many scenarios, but watch out for the tiers, and the ordering. You don’t want to plan to play a 1-5 on day 2 but level your character to 6th on day 1.

Unfortunately, there aren't any scenarios specifically for the Dark Archive faction on the schedule. We have soo many options for players from PFS, to SFS, to ACG, to 2E, to PSA all competing for limited table space that some hard decisions have to be made regarding what we offer. Looking over the scenarios on the schedule and their faction keywords, none of them are tagged Dark Archive. That being said, there will be plenty of opportunities. In most cases a player could play the entire convention with the same character and not miss beat.

The PFS/SFS events are not yet posted to the catalog. Gen Con has said they are still processing all the event submissions and hopes to have them up soon. With something like 13,000 unique events being offered, its reasonable to think it'll take some time to get them all vetted.

I don't necessarily mean it has to be the main focus. Just hoping for ones where there's a boon that helps, rather than being locked to the minimum boons from the sheets.
