Advice on Mythic Hero Path for Hunter Class?

The GM of my Pathfinder group awarded us a level in Mythic Hero for successfully getting through her magical death maze! But I'm not sure which path is the best option for my character and the guides I've looked at all seem to focus on how great spellcasting paths are, which doesn't really help my limited-spell list Hunter.

My character is a half-elf third-level Hunter with a wolf companion. He's a ranged character with an enchanted bow as his main weapon. His feats are point-blank shot, precise shot, and rapid shot. Teamwork feat is Coordinated shot. I chose the Totem Guide archetype for the wolf and gave him the feats to boost his AC to 19. He also knows the Bolster Companion and Distracting Attack skirmisher tricks.

Skillwise, he's a solid +13 to perception and between a +6 to +10 to handle animal, stealth, survival, sense motive, intimidation, and the nature, dungeoneering, and geography knowledges.

Guardian and Trickster look like the best options at face-value, but I'm open to advice. Never gotten the chance to play a Mythic Hero before, but I'm excited! :)


I know you did not want to focus on spell casting, but the inspired spell from the Hierophant path allows you to cast any spell on your spell list. This is actually more valuable for a class with limited spells known than a full prepared caster. Now you can get access to any spell on your list.

The path ability Mighty Summons can really boost up your summoned creatures. There are also a couple of path abilities that boost your companion.

Do you mean the Inspired Spell Divine Surge ability? This is nice, but too many of the other abilities in the Hierophant path focus on spellcasting and my character isn't a spell-focused character. And a lot of the animal companion abilities on this path cross over to the Guardian one, making it seem like a better choice between the two.

I also rather like Beast's Fury over Inspired Spell for the animal companion buff.
