Aroden's sacred animal and colors

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I have been trying to figure out what were the sacred color and animal for Aroden.

What I have been able to find were some details about how different countries paid homage to gold and green, with Cheliax using black and gold and Taldor going with blue, green and gold.

Based on this I assume the sacred colors were gold and green.

This still leaves the question of the sacred animal, anyone got any ideas?

If there's no official answer, then I'd suggest humanity's best friend - the dog.

Sounds about right, what better animal than humanity's best friend and one of the greater achievements of humanity.

I thought the same, actually. Dogs are the most fitting with Aroden's general portfolio, even though for heraldry (and due to Iomedae) I would have thrown the lion, which is a tad on the overused side (even if it is such for a good reason).

Given the wing motifs in Aroden's holy symbol, I'd guess a bird of some sort.

Tomb of the Iron Medusa has priests of Aroden reading omens from sacred chickens in a flashback haunt, so it's possible the humble chicken is Aroden's favored animal.

Animals most associated with humanity would be horses, cattle, dogs, etc. I like the idea of dogs or horses the most (and Cayden already has the hound, and while there is no reason why multiple gods can't share sacred animals, it just feels right to go with horses).

Green and gold seem like good color choices.

So Aroden was a Packers fan? Score!

Aroden's not dead, he just went home...
