Alignment of Brigh

Homebrew and House Rules

So, having just cast Thread Rejuvenation on Me'mori's thread concerning the Code of a paladin of Brigh, I wanted to open that specific subject up. my apologies to the assembled if this has already been hashed, or if there is a more appropriate board.

I've been a GM for thirty years. Brigh is a deity I simply can't see not being an ancient and powerful deity; as the Goddess of Invention, every time any living thing personally comes up with something new (to them, not necessarily new period) she draws power.

Her assigned alignment, though, is something I just can't get behind. She's described as approving of creating things and disapproving of senseless destruction. She's described as supporting open communication and education. These are not Neutral concepts.

I respectfully submit that Brigh ought to be considered Neutral Good.

Discussion?

Lawful Neutral then. Senseless, wanton destruction is CE and She'd want to oppose that. But Brigh is very much about logic, structure and engineering - none of which are Good (or Evil).

That said, Brigh is also the surrogate mother of Constructs and they're N by default. Plus simply not caring about alignment suits the Goddess just fine. I'd peg her as True Neutral, but with Lawful leanings.
